Absolutely love this place. The staff are friendly and helpful without exception. The rooms are meticulously clean.
The place is dated yes but its part of its charm.
The breakfast was yum. Bacon was even lovely and crispy.
This place is the best. Highly recommend
We loved our stay.

Beautiful hotel. Nice and quiet when there is no snow before the MTB gets there. Staff were awesome, considering there wasn't many guests left. Didn't feel like anything was too hard. Some awesome rooms.

The staff here have gone over the top in sorting out our original booking to making us feel totally at home during our stay. Every single staff member is friendly and super helpful, especially when my youngest smashed their MCL on the hill! The rooms are comfortable and the ambience of the whole facility is great. I will pick this Hotel every time in the future.

We went there right before the end of season.
Not much snow from the hotel, but still quite nice snowy mountain view from our room.

Super close to everything. 5mins walk to lift chair and visitor center. Super recommended if want to save some time on road and relax after ski ⛷

Friendly stuffs offered us quite lots handy tips on nearby facilities.

Oh, don’t miss out on Saturday fireworks! Worth the wait! Best view from the balcony of the Italian restaurant next door!

Stayed during a big weekend of pro skiers and snow boarders and Friday and Saturday had DJs playing songs that the crowd loved from 3:30-7ish. We were in the pit earlier but joined in from our room when the crowds were shoulder to shoulder. Awesome music, awesome night and the fireworks went off too.

Customer focused and driven.
Gas heating in the rooms meaning it will always warm in the colder seasons
Breakfast buffet included was another nicety.
Really tidy rooms,
will be my first option when looking for accommodation in the future as the experience was exceptional.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the weekend in summer and had a great time. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. It was in a good location right across the road from the chairlift and the village square is nearby. We have booked here again for this winter. Would definitely recommend.

The view and location is amazing. It is walking distance to chairlifts. The village square is easily accessible from the hotel.

The hotel has inhouse restaurant which is open for breakfast and dinner. It is not open on all days for dinner, do check and make reservations. The food is delicious and has decent veg choices.

This is a heritage hotel, so no A/C but they provide a table fan and gas heater for winter.

This is a fantastic location and hotel. We visited during summer in December (temp 3-10 C) and had a very warm and comfortable stay. All attractions are close by like the valley terminal for the chair lift and gondola, MTB hires and MTB riding routes. This is a base for everyone trying to do the 13km Mount Kosciuszko hike. Nice kids park that includes bike stunt area and trampolines. Lots of activities to keep kids happy and engaged. Even the Thredbo river is just a few walking steps away and allow picnic opportunities on its bank. The hotel is located in a very scenic spot at the base of surrounding mountains.. it’s bustling yet a very peaceful place. Shops and other eateries nearby at walking distance . Very happy with our stay and we’ll to be back for winter.

The Alpine Hotel has a great ski resort feel..even in summer. The room was exceptionally clean, staff were very friendly and helpful. Stayed on a Saturday night and there was live music in the courtyard, such an amazing atmosphere. 30 seconds walk to the chair lifts, restaurants, or the bus to Friday Flats. Free parking for guests (till 10am on day of check out). No complaints!

My husband and I stayed here this weekend. We have stayed here before except this time it was our 10 year anniversary. On arrival there was champagne and a card stating congratulations on our anniversary. The room was immaculate, and warm with a great view of the mountains, and breakfast was delicious . We ordered room service one night and it came within 20 mins and was hot and tasted amazing. Thank you for an amazing stay. We will be back 🙂

Great location with many activities close by (walking or free shuttle bus around village near door step).

Pros - clean rooms with very comfortable bedding, warm heaters, good hot showers, great views, excellent drying room setup and board storage. Breakfast and Dinners at Cascades was amazing. The other close by restaurants also had great food.

Cons - a lot of stairs, a little dated but excellently maintained. Windows a little dirty. Car parking onsite limited but available further away.

This was a fabulous place to stay and explore the snow slopes for our family of four. We were warned by reception when booking that it can be noisy with nightlife music but it wasn’t anything we didn’t sleep through, stopped around 11pm. Noise and cons did not bother us and we would certainly stay again.

The resort is awesome and is super mountain bike friendly,
Who ever is reading this should know they have a huge area for bike storage and easy access to the the chair lifts a hundred yards away , our room had snow capped mountain views and I biked all day while my wife relaxed and read books or went for walks it was a win win location , parking at the hotel was great , the pub is a minute away with great food and beer and a lively friendly atmosphere, but its far enough away so is not noisy , staff are very helpful and the lifts and bike park are world class , if you mountain bike and want to stay in the heart of Thredbo this is the place to be , early December is the dream and the park runs mint , if I could give it a 11 out of 10 I would !
