Eagles Nest Restaurant

I was delighted to find this great restaurant on the top of the mountain on a visit at Thredbo. Had a cappuccino and a tiramisu, which were amazing. The view was unbelievable. It may be a bit crowded sometimes, but definitely with the wait.

Very friendly service, good food and drinks (recommend salmon pizza), best view at a restaurant!

To get here, the chair lift must be taken which is at a cost of $45 per adult, however the scenery on the way up is worth it.
Views from this place were incredible. Service was perfect, staff were very friendly and always happy to help. The food was unexpectedly good for such an isolated place, although expensive.
Would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to thredbo.

Aside from the fact that this is the only place to get food during a hike to the top of Kosciuszko from Thredbo, and that usually any kind of food would taste amazing, this is still a nice cafe.

The building was a little older which was expected, I’m impressed there was even food up there. I highly recommend coming here at the end of your hike for a bite and drink.

The burgers were great, iced coffee and milkshake were also amazing. Hard to beat the view, after all you are eating at a cafe located in one of the highest points of Australia. Get a window seat and watch people come up on the chair lift either to ski, board or bike.

Awesome place , people who goes to Kosciuszko mountain (National Park) would definitely go there to fuel them....

A great joint to come for a hot chocolate after the Mount Kosciusko summit walk! People working here were as lovely!

Awesome place for morning breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Really nice interior and awesome view from the top. Accessible via chairlift or decent hiking.

Great place to stop by for lunch. Reasonably priced food, happy schnapps hour from 2-4 makes for a great experience.

+1 for having foot passenger access for non skiiers and also
+1 for wonderful panoramic views if you sit by the window.

The staff are clearly handpicked for their cheerfulness, helpfulness and overall work ethic. Well run and great place to visit.

Very busy during ski session obviously but the service and view are excellent you can’t complain. There’s not a great choice of food but what we ordered was lovely.

Amazing customer service, was closed the day we attended due to high winds and the chair lifts being closed but the staff were lovely enough to make us a coffee anyway. It was very much appreciated after the long hike up the mountain.

I really love the vibe here, summer or winter. The views are stunning. The service is always warm and welcoming. As is the temperature thanks to the wood fire.
The menu is simple, they have to bring it all up on the chair lift, but it's tasty and cheaper than you'd expect considering the location. My daughter loves the range of hot chocolates. For adults they have a full bar, including the always delicious locally made Wild Brumby schnapps.
Lovely place to pause and relax during your outdoor adventures.
