Central Hotel Port Douglas

Took a " road to recovery" drive to see the HWY and progress on the road after TC Jasper.

Had lunch at Centrals .... the upper mezzanine level.
Food and service was great.
Large meals .... great presentation... cold beer 🍺 😋 👌 😎

Great place to eat great atmosphere just get in early as there is no booking and fills up quick

Very thankful this was recommended to me. The grilled crispy skinned barramundi in a an almost green curry sauce with rice and veggies works!! You wouldn't think it would be but it did.

Beer needs to be colder as mine was warm in less than 5 minutes. Drink quick here so that makes for a good business model for a pub though hey?

Great place for lunch. We got 2 Central Burgers and 1 Chicken Burger which was nice. Quick and friendly service.

Great place for a drink and some live music! There is also a pool table. It works but it has seen better days as shown in the photograph below. Bartenders are friendly. It wasn't too crowded when we stopped by one night to hear the excellent live music. We didn't have any food so I can't comment on that.

Great location, food, cocktails and cold beer. The super friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere was just the icing on the cake.

We popped into the pub on a quiet night while it was raining cats and dogs, so it was pretty quiet. The staff were very friendly and it was nice to have a chat. Our Parmas were bang on.

Just saw how busy it was and decided to try it out, good range of beer and multiple bars, massive venue with good outdoor seating with sport on big screens. The food and beer was reasonably priced, the Schnitzel was excellent and one of the better ones i've ever had. Would recommend for a good feed, drink and sports

Great food. Great location. Every time we go here the food is always amazing, and the service is always fast.

Huge venue, very busy. Grass area out the back for kids to run free. Sport TV's and music pumping. Meals for our group were on average ok. I had the rump and it was great, others were not so happy.

The service is great. Beer is icy cold which is exactly what you beed there and the food is well prepared and good sized portions. Not that we could get in but the pkace really rocks with entertainment on Saturday nights.

Good food, Daily specials..house burger was delicious, fish basket yummy, pizza Margherita and chicken\pineapple both superb. Live music. Recommended.

Classic Queenslander pub with friendly service and decent pub grub. Great place to watch the big sport events, and has good live music too.

On a very busy night in town, the Cental delivered above and beyond. Best value meals in Port Douglas. Only take on the ribs and wings if you're very hungry. They have more meat on them then most places serve.

Great food and a friendly vibe, nice to sit outside with a beer and relax.
Huge size meals at good prices. Worth stopping at if your in the area.
