Absolutely fantastic. Not a bad word to say about it. From the Breakfast with the Birds, Swimming with the Salties & the Nocturnal Wildlife experience, it was an amazing place to visit. Shout out to Nicole & Kasey for making it a visit to remember.

Thank you very much.

Honestly the best zoo/sanctuary I've been to. Didn't really have any interest in going here, but saw they had a nocturnal animals tour so decided to book it just for fun. Tour was amazing and decided we had to come back again the next morning to see the rest of the animals. Lovely and very knowledgeable people, a huge range of native Australian animals and a stunning zoo overall. Enclosures are huge with tons of room for animals to move around and keep entertained. An underrated treasure for anybody visiting Port Douglas!

Such a cool place. Very friendly animals and the staff were very friendly. It didn't look much from the outside in size but once your in there you could easily get lost. Price is great, even better for locals. Will definitely head back there.

What an absolutely brilliant morning. Breakfast with the birds is a great family thing to do. Staff are awesome and knowledgeable. The birds are friendly, especially Peter.

I recommend these guys to anyone looking to spend the morning doing something other than sitting around the pool.

Simply the best wildlife/zoo we've ever visited. Super clean enclosures, all animals super gentle and this is an immersive facility so you are walking through the massive animal enclosure, we had birds sit on our shoulders, fed and patted kangaroos, up close to everything you want to photograph.

We had a lovely visit. So many birds and we had the burgers from the caffee and they were really great. We almost missed a few sections of the park but made a point of going back through to explore everything. My favourite part was the mini tree walk and feeding the fish.

fun place to have a chill walk around and look at some cute things. super cool how your're walking around with the birds and animals most of the time, rather than them being behind cages. didn't get photos but the stork, turtles, owls and gliders were cool. thank you :)

Very well kept place. We enjoyed it here, especially because you felt that the employees care for the animals. The picture with the Koala was the highlight, although it only lasted 10 seconds.

It's a MUST if you're just visiting Port Douglas or even if you're a local. Great value and family fun for everyone. Excellent and educational commentary from the friendly and professional staff, very safe animal feeding and viewing with lots of active wildlife. Tasty local snacks at very reasonable prices and comfortable seating for both couples or families. And very clean facilities and amenities too. Highly recommended 👏👍😊

My wife and I visited recently while on holiday and had an absolute blast. We splurged for the guided tour and breakfast with the birds. The meal was great and our guide Zoe was even better. We spent several hours at the park following our tour and it was quite an amazing day. If you are in the area, we highly recommend visiting and thank you Zoe for making our day great and say hi to Tia and Max for us.

This is one of the best animal encounters we have ever experienced. The animals were exceptionally well looked after providing them with the best natural environments possible. We swam with the crocs which was awesome, Sam the keeper and his team were so passionate and informative about the crocs. Sammie the bird keeper was great at our breakfast with the birds experience which also included feeding the koalas!
Paris was exceptionally informative about the Cassowaries which are probably the closest living creature to the Velociraptor Dinosaur!
And not to mention the sweetest experience feeding the many kangaroos and their joeys….was a truly wonderful experience and having bought a ticket which then gave us another 4 days access for free was the icing on the cake for us. Shame we don’t live in Australia as we would have bought an annual pass. Thank you so much to all the staff for making our animal encounter time in Port Douglas so special.

I really enjoyed this place! It had a bit of everything. The birds were beautiful; spectacularly coloured. The amazing brolga and spoonbill. Just beautiful birds that you don’t see often. The nocturnal section was a bit smelly and I thought it was a bit of a tease for the gorgeous python being inundated by the rodent smell. The kangaroos were great but I do think they’re possibly over fed, so spending the $2 for a bag of feed may not be really worth it. The highlight was certainly the crocodiles. Getting up close was an eerie experience and looking into its eyes up close was incredible.

Exceeded our expectations, up close with many amazing animals and birds. Great value. Only place you need to stop in Queensland to see all the animals of the region.

What a great place to spend time when at Port Douglas. Free return within 5 days, so we went twice. First visit we swam with the salties. Awesome 😮 Fed kangaroos. Went back a few days later and I was surprised at how much we had missed the first time. Got photographed holding a koala (other critters are available 😉). Have a rest a refresh at the cafe while surrounded by birds, the sounds of Australia. Not a regular event, but we were privileged to witness the expulsion, by keepers, of a gatecrasher. A python had gained entrance from outside and was scaring the birds. Brilliant.

Amazing, we had an amazing day here!
The kids loved it, the grown ups loved it; how can you not love Max the Red Tailed Black Cockatoo!
The staff were friendly throughout the park, the Brolga was singing, Crocodiles sunbaking, the Koots had their babies out, just a great day.

Soooo much fun for the whole family! If you are looking for a respectful wildlife park, this is the place for you. They care for their animals and the staff is super friendly and helpful. There is plenty to do for a half-day excursion. This is the place where you can have a photo with a koala and a crocodile. ;)

Wildlife Habitat is a must visit! Lots of animals to see and talks to go to. Definitely recommend Swimming with the Salties!! A once in a lifetime experience to see a croc so close - even inside it’s mouth!! Something I’ll remember forever. 5 day entry pass means nothing is missed out on! Staff are super lovely - must be a great place to work!
