Han Court Chinese Restaurant

Dropped in on just before 8 with hankering for good fried rice, when most of town was dead and not much open. These guys were lovely and looked after my wife and our 2 yo very well, very accommodating and food hit the spot. Shandong chicken with spicy sauce on the side was good idea for our daughter and garlic prawns were huge and tasty. Atmosphere wise was great, feels like has been here forever and reminded us of road side warung or little restaurant in se Asia somewhere just off a main road, glowing green light in balcony in the middle of the steamy rainforest in port! Value reasonable too. All in all great experience and what we needed! Not gourmet i normally associate with port restaurants but something different and still valuable here!

Best Chinese in Cairns!! Make the trip here, it's worth it!! The special Fried Rice with all those tiger prawns in it is "Special"... 1 of the best tasting Fried Rice dishes I've had. My fussy 6yr old had 2 bowls & that's saying something. My sons taste buds have really matured & trying everything & liked it all. We also tried the Garlic Prawns, Roast Duck with a delicious side sauce, Sizzling Beef & Honey Chicken. All were very tasty & well priced. Phone Ordered & pick up was 15-20mins. Super Quick & just across from the Resort where staying in. Thank you 😊👍

Thanks so much guys for cooking us dinner the other night at extremely short notice and staying back and waiting for me to arrive. You guys provided excellent service when we could not get a feed anywhere when the power went out in town. Service was excellent and food was lovely. Thanks again and highly recommend.

Had a wonderful night here with friends. Sat on the verandah with warm tropical rain pouring down outside. Quite magical really! Food was delicious and the service was great. We’re definitely going back.

Ordered take away from here tonight.

Amazing food, great location, friendly staff, the crisping skin deep fried duck is to die for, the meal sizes are large, the special fried rice yum, everything time we visit Port Douglas we make sure we eat here. Do yourself a favor dont miss it not opened Tuesday's

Best Chinese in Port Douglas. It has been 5 years since our last visit and still great food. Prices have increased a little as have most things but still such good food for the price and no skimping on quantity or quality. Highly recommend.

We visited Han Court last week while on holiday in Port Douglas and we loved it! We had a mix of beef, chicken and pork dishes, all of which came in big portions and were delicious. Even my extremely fussy toddler polished off heaps of the special fried rice. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town.

Beautiful dine in experience, not the best location out of town but worth it. Traditional decor in an airy tropical setting. The meals we had were as good as any 5 star resort I have visited and the staff were very helpful.

Had a wonderful dinner here during our visit to Port Douglas. The service was efficient and courteous, the food was fresh and couldn’t fault it, but more than anything we loved the atmosphere. We sat out on the verandah on a steamy summer night under the fan, with the red Chinese lanterns hanging over the tables, comfy cane chairs, lush garden, insects chirping and mozzie coils burning…. Authentic FNQ, we absolutely loved it. My recommendation? Don’t pay any attention to the one star reviews.

Drove past this place so many times, always had cars parked out front and looked busy, thought it must be good. It is! Proper Chinese and good portion size. No going home hungry for a top up. Had satay chicken, and it was great with just a hint of heat. Lemon chicken and honey prawns were excellent, and there are lots of options. The banquet looks reasonably priced, too. Coming back with family when they visit.

So happy to find food that I have often enjoyed in China. Lovely staff working in challenging times too.

We went there with our two year old and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Food was absolutely delicious. Fresh, full of flavour and quick service, which anyone who has eaten out with an active toddler knows- just makes such a difference! Would definitely recommend for anyone, especially young families

My boyfriend and I came here for takeaway and were immediately welcomed on arrival. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, offering cold water and seats while we waited for our takeaway order. The food was lovely with plenty of fresh veggies. Definitely would return.

We were staying over the road and managed to get a table without booking. It was extremely busy but the wait staff were excellent. The food was delicious. The duck pancakes exceptional. It was a great experience and I’m sure we will go back.

We opted to dine in and selected Banquet Option A. The servings were very generous and the food tasty and succulent. Entrees were flavoursome and plentiful. The mains were a selection of beef and seafood giving enough variety to appease our appetites. The desserts were simple fruit accompanied with vanilla ice cream.
Despite being short staffed (due to Covid and lack of Restaurant workers in Port Douglas in general) we were served in reasonable time by the owners two sons who were obviously new to the role and were learning as the night progressed. On the funny side, when I asked for wine glasses for the table they brought out water and filled the water glasses then delivered one wine glass then belatedly brought the second which we found quite amusing.

Absolutely recommend coming here for a meal if you’re craving Asian food whilst in Port Douglas. Service was so warm and lovely, food came out quick and was delicious! Large serving portions at very reasonable prices.

Coming from Melbourne where we are spoilt with beautiful Chinese food, I would say this place is on par and would be my local Chinese if it were near me.

Arrived before 5pm for takeaway, no problem served straight away. Very quick service, beautifully cooked & so fresh, definitely recommended will go back. Lovely young boy taking the orders
