Embassy Vegetarian Cafe

Had an amazing experience. I feel lucky that I found this vegetarian place for breakfast on my trip to blue mountains. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food very delicious and filling. The shepherds pie was fabulous!!!

Great cafe, nice atmosphere, well priced food and small but great selection. Coffee was also great. Highly recommended!

Amazing vegan/vegetarian cafe, they can make all all dishes vegan, and they're always adding new dishes such as vegan fish and chips and burgers. They have a delicious vegan big breakfast, the best big breakfast I have had. Beans were well seasoned, avocado smashed with lemon, mushrooms and tomatoes, rye sourdough and scrambled tofu were also delicious. Actually everything I tried here was delicious. Coffee was also very good. Service was good and staff friendly. Will definitely come back.

Friendly staff, really nice menu and the food was delicious. The place had a really good vintage vibe with some awesome jazz playing in the background. Loved it!

We had a vegan mushroom pie and a vegan burrito. Both were beyond delicious and very good value for money! The staff is very friendly and the place is cozy. If you're vegan/vegetarian, this is THE place to have a bite and fuel your hikes in the Blue Mountains! #poweredbyplants

Delicious food, great value for money, lovely staff, cozy restaurant,... Need I say more? Vegans, vegetarians and undecided hungry people: look no further! 😉 We left happy with a full belly!

This place is highly recommended and definitely worth visiting. Finally a cafe where they realised that less means more. It's simple and and it's great. I'm definitely coming back.

Amazing cafe with a tonne of vegan, gluten free and nut free options in addition to being vegetarian. Usually so hard to find something to eat with my allergies but Embassy had more options than I could imagine. Portion sizes were large and the food tasted yum in addition to being well-priced. Staff were really friendly too. Would definitely recommend and wish there was one in Sydney!

Absolutely amazing!! What’s not to like! The set up and style combined with the music is calming and relaxing, and gives off a great atmosphere to properly enjoy a your lunch or breakfast. The service and staff are very friendly and informative. The food is awesome! As a vegan, it’s hard to find a good burger that’s not from hungry jacks, but this place beats any burger I’ve ever had. I’ve only been vegan for 3 years, but the black bean patty burger beats any vegan or non vegan burger I have ever consumed!

Absolutely go to every time I pop up for visit to the mountains. This place is without a doubt one of the best vego/vegan cafes I’ve ever been too. Wholesome yummy family favourites with delicious coffees and cakes. The owner is welcoming and genuinely seems to be happy to help - you can tell that he has a real passion and love for the cafe. Delicious food. Super friendly staff. Very reasonable prices. The serving sizes were generous and presented beautifully. Our celiac vegan was in COMPLETE heaven. What a terrific find. Thank you! Would definitely recommend and will be back!

I've had two very nice lunches here - the vegan 'lunch wrap' on my first visit, and the pumpkin soup with sourdough on Sat 22 June.

Prices are good, portions are generous (but not too big) and the staff are friendly. Pretty much everything on the menu can be ordered either vegetarian or vegan (swapping sour cream for cashew cream, or regular cheese for vegan cheese, etc). The menu is not extensive but there's something for everyone.

I haven't tried the coffee so cannot comment on whether it's any good. Unfortunately, they do charge extra ($0.50) for non-dairy milk which is a bit ironic given how much effort the cafe has made otherwise to cater to vegans.

Will definitely visit again, and one of these days I'll get around to trying the coffee....

This cozy little cafe was the highlight of my stay in Katoomba. The coffee is perfect and all the food I tried was delectable. The service was so friendly and the prices unbelievably cheap. I highly recommend you try this place whether you're staying in Katoomba or just passing through.

Embassy was a complete spur of the moment decision for us, but seeing veggie curry on the menu pulled us in. Not only was it lovely, well priced coffee, but the curries we had were delicious. We were given the option of a spicy or milder curry (we of course chose the spicier option), which was made with seasonal veg. The portion size was excellent, spot on for a lunchtime hot meal. The art deco interior style was also charming. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

The Embassy Vegetarian Cafe has arguably one of the best cups of coffee on offer on Katoomba Street. My usual was the Picollo Latte and Jason, Andy and co got it right every time... I was made to feel part of the Embassy family, albeit through plenty of jests to keep my head from getting too big - but I kept coming back because on some of the worst days in my time in Katoomba, their caring and generous service hit the spot. Thank you Embassy for your excellent service, terrific product and great people.

Absolutely loved the variety of options this cafe had for breakfast and lunch. And most if not all options had a vegan alternative which was amazing to see. We got the waffles, breakfast wrap and narchos and also a couple of coffees and were so satisfied. The staff were lovely also. Would highly recommend eating here.

One of the best vegan burgers I've had in a while! Friendly staff, lovely coffee, big portion sizes and beautiful decor! Will definitely be back next time I'm in the blue mountains. Highly recommend!
