Narrow Neck Lookout

A very nice lookout.
Not too busy, can see into the valley, also has a few hikes as well.
Great place for trail running or for casual sightseeing and buswalks

Beautiful easy access, great views, much better if you hike, climb, abseil, or pack a lunch!

Surprisingly decent lookout. Even managed to park the van for a while and have some peace and quiet and a decent view. After coming from Echo Point it was pleasant to escape the crowds. Although some people come and go it's not as busy or annoying. Would recommend it's worth your while just quickly driving past.

We went walking along the Narrow Neck Trail today. 12 kms, 4+ hours. Wonderful walk through a rehabilitating natural environment showing how resilient our ecosystems are. Try and do it when next in the Bkue Mountains.

Beautiful natural wonder. Plenty of photo opportunities. On the day we visited, there were rock climbers on the cliff faces. It was fascinating to watch such agility and strength. There were falcons soaring about the cliff edges using the air thermal currents to gain altitude. There are many viewing points along the cliff edges and they are well signed. Trails are well formed and marked with informative sign posts. Well worth taking the time to plan a visit to the area. Most areas are easily accessible.

The scenery is breathtaking. If you have little ones I recommend to do the shortest track.Which is what I did with my little family. Very steep stairs recommend a hiking stick.

Looking back we both say that Coming here was a main highlight of the trip

Fantastic hike with stunning views

For the shortest access to the Golden Stairs, this lookout is the best option, as it is easily accessed from the carpark at Scenic World, which by the way is where the public bus stops in its route from Katoomba to Echo Point and then here…
It is one of those things, when embarking on a hike, to have that experience of viewing where you are going is invaluable for enhancing your experience.

Beautiful place to sit down in the back of your car and watch a gorgeous sunset glimmer through the native gum trees. A place to stop and enjoy creation.

Absolutely gorgeous! Not too crowded at all. The parking lot is small but there’s plenty of street parking

This is a must see! One great lookout, you can see the ruin castle and mt solitary. Great spot on a sunny day!

Unique landmark between Mt Solitary and Megalong Valley. A nice walk where you see views of Lake Burragorang and Megalong Valley.
