This museum is impressive from start to finish; every penny spent on it is totally worth the experience. From artifacts and art dating back to 2000 B.C. to the place itself, everything falls into an impeccable surrounding of peace and beauty. It's incredible what humans can do with enough creativity, imagination, and goodwill.

The Vienna Art History Museum is a World Class Museum located in the Museum district of Vienna. Well designed and laid out for the different periods of Art with an emphasis on the great masters of the Renaissance and Classical periods.
Highly recommended! Great coin collection rooms also. Amazing place! This review DOES follow Google’s Policies!!!

The "Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna" is a must see and really worth a visit! Inside of the museum there is a hidden café that is just recommended because of its design & architecture. If you're in arts it should be the first stop over for your next city trip to Vienna. Enjoy all beautiful impressions and be sure to plan staying a few hours to walk around all collections. One of the most unique and fascinating art galleries is the “Bruegel Gallery”. It shows the world’s largest and most important collection of paintings by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, where 12 works by him houses in one room. What a spectacular & historical place!

The museum has excellent design. You can tour the museum worry-free by leaving your valuables in the lockers. For a modest cost, an audio guide is provided. The experience of viewing exquisitely crafted objects was very remarkable.

One word - magnificent!
Everything is great organised, from leaving your stuff, and walking only with a phone around, to places for disabled people (you can even borrow wheelchair). I'm really, really satisfied!
The architecture of the building is marvellous! There are multiple exhibitions. All of them are in immaculate condition. Great experience! Must see in Vienna!

Hey Vienna, how are you?

Today me and my girlfriend went to This Amazing Museum. It was busy, but that’s okay! We had fun counting frogs in artworks and laughing at paintings. There were many old people and many children and many people aged 25-60 as well. So I would say, even tho I am not two of those categories, it’s a place for anyone and everyone.

PS. These people have my favourite armour on display and I just love it so much.

As much as I loved this place, there’s like… three or maybe four different gift shops. They do have different things though, so I’d recommend visiting them all.

I’m usually not a museum person but this place was just incredible. If you are into architecture and design, you will absolutely love this place. The collection of art and artifacts is unreal. The moment you step into this museum you’re all of its beauty. Spend a few hours here during your stay in Vienna and you will forever remember your experience.

Absolutely and by far, the most interesting building and museum in Vienna. It consists of multiple exhibitions, divided by the time and geographical position of the given state, dating all the way back to a few thousand B.C. The exhibition comprises some Egyptian mummies, both human and animal, which were the most fascinating part.

Fun fact: In the Middle Ages, people believed mummies had healing powers, so they ate them, while aristocrats had unwrapping parties at their mansions.

We had a great afternoon in this museum, my two teenagers really enjoyed the Roman and Egyptian displays whilst I loved the art. Information was available in both English and German and the free to use cloakroom made for a very comfortable visit. Would say it is a must do on a visit to Vienna.

A most beautiful museum. Entrance ticket is 21 euros and you get free wifi and cloakroom. No more tickets to get around inside the museum. It’d take 3 hours.

The cafe inside the museum is a must go, although the queue can be long at times.

Really amazing museum in fine surroundings. The museum has a lot to offer. It is a piece of art itself. You need to have plenty of time may be all day to see the unique collections.

Great museum to visit. Architecture of the museum it's self is just amazing.
It's a huge museum. Make sure to allocate enough time if you are planning to visit every wing of the museum. I would say it will take minimum 2 hours if you do a "fast paced" view of the collections.

Great collection! Recommend buying your ticket slightly in advance instead of waiting in a long queue outside. I noticed there are little kiosks right inside the doors to self serve ticket yourself so could try that instead of waiting outside. If you buy your ticket online, the ticket takes a while to get into the system, and my ticket didn’t scan at first, because of that. The guard told me it takes about 15mins from the time you buy the ticket online to it being able to be scanned.

One of Vienna's giant museums in terms of importance but also beauty. I really enjoyed the collections within the museum and the layout of the exhibits in the timeline. The total visit takes from 3 to 5 hours, but obviously depends on how passionate you are.I absolutely recommend the visit because it is both an architectural and historical jewel!😲😲

5 stars are not enough for this museum. The museum itself is a masterpiece, let along the collections. It took me more than 5 hours to see every inch of it, but I have to come again sometime, I'm sure I've missed a couple od spots...
It surely is on the top of all the museums in the world.
Also, do treat yourself with fine delicacies at the museum's café. The waiters are polite and smiling!
Get your ticket online for extra discount!
A must see!!!

It was one of the best museums I have done in Europe!

The architecture of the inside and the outside of the monument is a piece of art.

The first floor is amazing for all the people who love the mineralogy and paleontology.

The second floor is like an alive encyclopedia of the different animals living currently on earth.

My only critic will be :
All the explications and names are not translated in english on the second floor.

I think you will need minimums 3 or 4 hours if you want to visit the full museum (I have needed 5 hours)

(Full price 16€)

Absolutely breathtaking! The Gold & Silk collection by Raphael was mesmerizing. With so many options to explore, it took us at least 4 hours to go through everything. Totally worth it!

Lovely museum with a fabulous art collection and great greek/Roman and Egyptian collections. Breughal is a particular highlight but many more famous paintings are to be found here. Has a cafe, which was closed the day we were there. Late night opening Thursday.

Amazing art museum. I recommend to take audio guide and get ready to spent the whole day here. Bruegel, Rubens, Van Eyck… unforgettable experience. Very nice Egyptian and Greek collection, very beautiful lighting (!!) and interior. And of course everyone should go to the museum cafe, it’s quite pricey but worth it.
