A totally different feel in winter. You won’t get the colours of summer but you get a good perspective of how grand it is.

No cameras or photo taking allowed in the palace and I respected that. Wise move honestly because you want to enjoy the splendour of this amazing journey as you walk through the hallways and listen to the audio.

Wow! Well crafted and curated tour.

I had to wait 1hr 45mins to get into the palace tour but worth the wait. Time flies when you walk around the garden.

Tranquil oasis, perfect for Sunday strolls. Impeccably maintained gardens offer a serene escape. A haven for nature lovers seeking a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city, with never far from sight, the silhouette of the magnificent palace… 💚

Well worth a visit. Spectacular place. Visited in February so gardens didn't have much colour but still splendid.

It's definitely worth a visit. Very beautiful palace, you can really feel what it was like to live there and how being a Hofburg should have been like. As an audio guide is provided, you're able to wonder through the rooms and listen to what they were used for, as well as some art explanations. It took me an hour to see all the rooms.
Besides that, the gardens are mostly free and also amazing.

Enter thru the Maria Theresia gate and there is a beautiful walkway. Either towards the goriette or just throughout the park are lots of paths.
We went therein winter, there are plenty of bids to be seen. They have birdfeeders along the pathway.
Of course the park is large so you could just enter at the castle anf walk there.

A huge place. You can easily spend a day here, exploring the gardens or visiting the other attractions in the grounds. The tour is very interesting, it's a massively opulent residence.

Well worth taking the time to visit if you're in Vienna.

Magnificent, majestic, imperial!
Beautiful park and palace.
Entry to garden is free, you have to pay to visit the palace and some special zones of the gardens like the zoo or the maze.

Wonderful Zoo to visit, the animals have a decent space to live in and seem very well maintained. I would highly recommend visiting!

I also enjoyed watching the feeding for the seals and the wolves.

You may spend around 3 hours going around the place.

Also great for families.

The park is huge and beautiful. It has different kinds of flowers. It has a house full of trees but the entry is closed at that time. We can spend some peaceful time there with our friends and family in the evening. The entry is free.

A great open space for a walk. We went in winter, so we did not get the beauty of everything in bloom, but it was still very nice.

Both the palace and the park are absolutely incredible. The palace's grandeur and the beauty of the park make for a fantastic combination. It's a place where you can admire both stunning architecture and the wonders of nature.

The gardens and surrounding offerings are a lovely way to spend a few hours. You can easily spend most of the day there, weather allowing.
Avoid the weekends if possible to miss the tourist rush.

Schönbrunn's park is an excellent free garden to explore. We visited in the winter, so there were no fountains and it was more brown than green, yet the wide avenue and dynamic use of height makes it a good place to visit year-round.

This large scale also helps ensure it is peaceful and relaxed, regardless of how many other tourists are in the area. I highly recommend climbing the zig-zag ramps up to the upper lake, and walking past the edge of the zoo to peek in at the animals. There's also some goats lurking near "Spielhaus von Kronprinz Rudolf"!

I'd love to revisit in the summer one day.

Worthwhile going to even when Christmas Market is not on. I hadn't realised the lovely walk behind the Palace and the view overlooking Vienna once at the top was unbelievable

Beautifully kept palace and grounds. Such a pleasure to walk around. The views are spectacular and the four pans plants beautifully kept. There are plenty lovely paths to explore but on a hot sunny day prepare for lots of sun exposure

A wide huge & spacious historical palace standing since 1569. A highly recommended for those who are interested in real art. If you are willing to visit everything inside, make sure to have enough time for perhaps one day so you will be able to see everything. Great gardens, sculptures, the palace visit was exquisite where you can visit 20 or 40 rooms depends on your ticket purchased at the entrance. Photos are not allowed and even bags. Yet there are lockers outside where the staff will help you to safely keep it there during your tour inside the palace itself. Lots of trees inside of different types, lots of fountains as well, and the most fun part was the maze where you can be lost with your family, children, or partner. The zoo has a different ticket. You can chill inside by eating or drinking or even sit by the decks in the shades. Make sure to have lots of water with you as it is really hot during summer and the walking areas take too long. The Gloriette is a must visit place, as well as the orangery where you get to know different kinds and species of tress from different countries planted there. A highly recommended place to visit while you are in Vienna.

When visiting Vienna, we first drove to Schonbrunn. A massive building in yellow extends into a long rectangle. The gardens are magnificent and you have to take a good walk to embrace them. Nice.

I loved the park. It is also a place suitable for runners (in the morning before crowds of people come). Would recommend visiting in the early hours (opens at 6.30).
