This is one of the most impressive cathedrals that I’ve visited. It looks amazing both during the day and in the evening. The outside is incredible, but inside is also really nice. It’s also free to enter too! From done angles you can see the colored tile roof better than others, so walk around until you have a nice view! Definitely worth a visit!

A beautiful cathedral with plenty of history and many intricate details. Would highly recommend paying for an all-inclusive ticket for 25 Euros (cash only!). The ticket comes with an interesting audio tour, as well as entry into other areas such as the catacombs (be sure to check the tour schedule), and the two towers (would recommend climbing the taller tower if you're able-bodied). I was unable to go up the tower with the elevator despite coming twice (the first time, the attendant decided to close off the elevators early while the second time, the attendant decided to go on break).

St. Stephan’s Cathedral is awesome - seriously, you can’t get to a better location in Vienna if you tried! This is the center of it all - it’s a huge old church with a colorful roof and four towers built in the 12th century. You can see the whole city from the top and if you have the time, I would definitely recommend it (we didn’t have the time but people kept telling us to do it, so I am assuming they know what they’re talking about). The inside is full of art and history, and supposedly even some Roman ruins from what I’ve heard?! The square around it is always fun and busy - it is PACKED during the day. However, at night, it clears out and gets super peaceful! The surrounding area has a plethora of wonderful restaurants, shops, activities, and so much more. In December, there is even a Christmas market at the base of the church! If you’re looking for a great place to stay, check out The Leo Grand, and if you’re wanting a good place to eat, well…you’re in Vienna. There are a billion great options! This is a must-visit in the city!

Amazing gothic cathedral. The main cathedral in Vienna.
You can get an all inclusive ticket for 25€ to go up both towers, the museum and the catacombs or it's about 7€ for each thing individually. We just visited the catacombs as my husband had been up the tower previously. The catacombs are well worth the visit! The tour guide we had was very good. The tour was done in both German and English and very informative and the tour guide was very charismatic.

very impressive and large gothic architecture. you could spend quite a while roaming around inside amongst many tourists (obviously). but still worth visiting and seeing the inside and the outside.

Beautiful cathedral! The view from above is worth all the effort to climb the narrow staircase with 343 steps. The acoustics inside is fantastic. If you manage to attend to a concert, consider yourself a lucky ! The cathedral choir is very good!

The steep staircase up to the top of the cathedral is not for the claustrophobic, but the view was worth the climb. This is such a great way to see the city and the cathedral’s gorgeous tiled roof.

Its a must place to visit in the in Vienna.
Note that you can enter the church free, and pay only for a visit to the catacombs under it which are 7€ per person.
Finally, stunning place with the highest point of 136 meters of the north tower.

I think it is one of the most important cathedrals in Gothic architecture. It is truly a magnificent work, it also has ties with the Ottoman Empire. It was used as a shelter during Ottoman sieges, and its bells were also used to warn Turkish raiders...

We climbed 343 steps to go to the top of the south tower, the steps were narrow. and it is 2-way traffic.. so sometimes have to stop a while for the other to pass through. Nice view at the top. Need to purchase tickets if you wish to go to the top.

IMPORTANT: You DO NOT need tickets for entry. There are people who are asking people to pay for entry or leave because they "don't have tickets". They are scammers. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM!!!!!

It's probably one of the most beautiful cathedrals in the entire world. Excellent architecture. However, it is extremely crowded. Best photos are to be taken outside.

A beautiful istoric cathedral that offers a lot to visit. You can go inside and look at the interior decorations, you can also climb the towers and go underground.

The North Tower is lower, but has more room for tourists and is accessible via an elevator while the South Tower offers the better views but you have to walk the stairs.

I definitely recommend the catacombs tour. You go underneath the church and the square to visit tombs of important Habsburgs and an underground cemetery.

Tickets are accessible and I definitely recommend this landmark.

Wow, St. Stephen's Cathedral is incredibly impressive, its size is breathtaking. The beautiful Gothic building is a symbol of Vienna. From the cathedral tower is a wonderful view of the city, but I warn you, there are 343 stairs to climb and it is very narrow, but it is worth it, I went up in June at 36°C outside 🤣

Absolutely magnificent, architectural icon of Vienne and Austria. Open for free till late hours (10pm) however some areas in the cathedral are restricted and can only be reached on paid basis. We visited the viewing platform in the North Tower to see the panorama of the city (access by elevator, tickets EUR 5 for adults), it was really exciting! 🤩 Highly recommend visiting this gothic masterpiece 🙌

Fantastic architecture, a must see while visiting Vienna.

Extremely easy to access by means of transport, the cathedral is the jewel of the city, with free access to it's great, majestic interior as well.

I believe it is closed during night hours, but during the day, and due to the lack of admission, the queue goes really quick.

Incredible cathedral in the heart of Vienna. It is free to enter, but you pay for further access - like to the top of the towers or beneath the church to the catacombs. There is a popular Christmas market that’s hosted here every November/ December, which is a great time to visit!
