Sao Beach

I recently visited Bai Sao (Sao Beach) in Phu Quoc and was blown away by its stunning beauty! The white sandy beach and shallow waters make it the perfect spot for swimming and sunbathing. The water is crystal clear, allowing me to see fish swimming near the shore. While there was some trash scattered around, it was minimal and didn't detract from my overall experience. The beach was relatively clean, and the scenery was breathtaking. I spent hours soaking up the sun and enjoying the tranquility of the ocean. If you're looking for a picturesque beach with clear waters and powdery sand, Bai Sao is a must-visit in Phu Quoc. Just remember to take your trash with you when you leave to help keep the beach beautiful!

Amazing in here. We had wonderful and romantic time to enjoy sunset together. I thought that I could not find anywhere beautiful like here

Beautiful and clean Beach, water is good, there are many cafes, food is expensive but coffee is okay.

Beautiful clean water and sheltered by the mountains. 20,000 to use the shower and toilets, extra 10,000 for towel. Plenty of food and beverages. Cost to use chairs, however; free to swim and sit on the beach.

Beautiful beach, the waves were nice and calm with soft white sand. The water is shallow and suitable for family with kids. I didnot see any trash when I went here (Jan 16 2023). The road to the beach was kinda bumpy. Chillest beach out of all the beaches I visited in Phu Quoc. Make sure to clean up after yourself to keep the beach clean! 5/5 stars!

Beautiful beach and good restaurant

Beautiful beach, easy to get to by hop-on-hop-off bus or taxi. Or by bike of course.
Definitely clean for Vietnamese standards, so either the place has been cleaned up or I came on a good day.
Not too busy, plenty of sunbeds and places to eat and drink.
Definitely worth a visit.

One of the beautiful beach, best to arrive on a car or bike, road are in bad condition, once u get of the main road, covered with red dust and construction. Beach pretty clean, white sand, got to see the star fish live for the first time. Will come back another time

We took a Grab down from long beach. Cost around 300,000 Dong. Well worth it. This beach is amazing. Fine white sand and lots of lounging options plus food and drink. We ate some Banh mi from a bike vendor and it was quite good. They have fun swings in the ocean as well. Loved it here.

I visited this beach in mid January and it was spotless clean. I rally kept a watchful eye on garbage everyone talks about but didn't see any worth mentioning. I think it greatly depends on what time of the year you're visiting.
Semi moderate fun waves and tanning bed is 60.000 VTĐ ... watch out for sea urchins as you get deeper.

Overall the beach was not bad. The swing n stairs require payment (30k & 50k)VND if u hope to play with it... Hammock rental 30k also available too. Toilet 20k per entrance. Can drink 25k per can while coconut costs 35k per. Prepare yr own food n drinks to prevent from these tourists traps hahahaa

Beautiful beach & better than Khem Beach for sure, more lively, may the facility wont be that fancy but reasonable with the price. 70.000 VND for a seat

Water is so clear, the sand is white. I love it. It is on the South of Phu Quoc Island. You should go there around December until March. That is the best season of the year in Phu Quoc.
In rainy season, from May until Oct, many gabages, the strong wind , many local people from Vietnam will take the children go with to enjoy the Summer Vacation. So, it is noisy.
Best time to go to Phu Quoc and Vietnam is November. I highly recommend

Best beach and the most nice waters of all phu quoc island on this beach! Like the maldives! I dont know why people complaining about trash and other stuff. The beach is totally clear of trash and waters too!

Beautiful beach, clean and with warm water. Not too much touristy like most Thailand beaches, it means you can still find a place to relax in a quiet spot, in a chair or on the sand.

I had lunch here with my tour and the view is marvelous! I didn’t play with the water since it was too sunny for me

I was contemplating if we should popby Sao beach after visiting phu quoc prison. But decided to check it out since we had plenty of time to kill. I must say it did not disappoint. You do see some trashes lying around as what others said, but the fine sand and clear water will take your breath away. It's one of my favorite beaches in phu quoc! There is plenty of space at the west side of the beach where you can chill for coupla of hours. Would advise to bring your own beer and snacks as the prices at the beach are ridiculously high for tourists.

Phu Quoc island has some great resorts but you do need to seek out the beaches - If you are into typical tropical beaches - white sand palm trees etc (like I am) Sao beach is a good option . It gets busy and there are not many accommodation options - but fantastic for a day out. There are bars and restaurants - and swings in the water! Enjoy!!!!
