Ocean Bay Resort & Spa Phu Quoc

Beautiful hotel located just a couple of kilometers from Duong Dong. I booked a room with a garden view - it was nice, big, and clean. The view from a big terrace was also very nice.
The breakfast served in the restaurant had many options to choose from either European or Asian cuisine, and was very tasty.
However, what really made our trip was the people working in the resort. I’ve never experienced such kindness and professionalism from the staff. Everyone from cleaners, waiters, drivers to receptionists made sure that our stay was an unforgettable experience. Especially at a time when my husband needed a medical assistance. He was taken care of very well, we were even provided with medication on the spot.

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful property, comfortable rooms, pristine beach, with clear water, beautiful sunsets. The staff here is very nice, and accommodating of your needs, including shuttles to and from your bungalows, and the airport, to offering to get fresh aloe plant for your sunburn. Breakfast is great. The resort restaurants are good too, and awesome views from them. One on the pier that is open for dinner, and another around the corner from the entrance of the resort that is ocean front. (That one has happy hour from 1800-2000👍🏼). There are a few places to eat up the street as well, which we recommend, Wood House in particular. They have Scooters for rent. Would highly recommend staying here for an escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, to really get some R&R. You will feel like you’re in a little corner of a tropical paradise. It will be our first choice to stay any time we visit Phú Quốc.

One thing I would like to note, especially for foreigners, is that although the bungalows are very nice, and pretty well enclosed/insulated, there is some exposure to the outdoors, especially the bathroom, which is basically outside under the roof, and fenced in(very private.) We personally love it, as it is a more authentic island experience, but if you like the more cookie cutter European, or American style indoor box of a resort/hotel, it may not be for you.

The resort has a fresh natural landscape, close to the sea, creating a comfortable feeling. Friendly, cute, enthusiastic staff. The restaurant on the beach watching the sunset for dinner is amazing. Beautiful infinity swimming pool. If you want to live in harmony with nature, this is a great choice.

Upon entering this resort, I was immediately captivated by its enchanting atmosphere. The tranquil setting, surrounded by lush gardens and the gentle sound of the ocean, creates a serene haven that allows you to unwind and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Every corner exudes a sense of peace and relaxation, making it the perfect retreat for rejuvenation.

Attentive Staff:
The resort's staff are the epitome of hospitality, offering warm and full assistance that goes above and beyond. From the friendly welcome at check-in to the attentive service at the restaurants and amenities, every encounter with the staff was met with genuine care and a willingness to ensure a memorable stay. They noticed that I felt unwell before I told them to ask for medicine.

Location for Sunset:
One of the most enchanting aspects of this resort is its prime location for witnessing breathtaking sunsets. The panoramic views of the sun sinking below the horizon are simply awe-inspiring.

My mom and I stayed here for 3 nights and it was a great time!! The service was amazing, with all the staff being super friendly and helpful, the beach was crystal clear and very nice to swim in at all times of day (they also have paddle boards and kayaks to rent for free). The rooms were great, and very close to the beach. The bar, pool, and restaurant were also very nice with a huge selection of food and drinks. It is a 15 minute drive from the south side of Phu Quoc— the main town, but it’s very doable.

Overall an amazing stay and if you’re ever in Phu Quoc I really recommend staying here.

This was a great break from the monotony of Hanoi and Saigon. Probably the best hotel service I’ve had in my life, though you should be aware that it is pretty westernized. The food isn’t great but our accommodations were fantastic. If you just want to relax for a bit, it’s a great spot to do that. Not many viets vacation here so if you’re looking for a more authentic experience there are better places to do that.

I don’t have any complaints. Everything was great. If you’re a foodie just make sure you head into town and try some of the seafood.

Wonderful hotel at a beautiful beach. We explored some other areas around the island and think the Ocean Bay beach strip is the most beautiful! No noisy water activities, clean & facing sunset!
The resort is well maintained and they are currently expanding even more. The views from the breakfast area, the pool, the garden, - everywhere is so picture worthy!
The ocean breeze upper level bungalow was great. Special mention to the front desk staff which was always very friendly, attentive and helpful!

Only one downside: the breakfast buffet got quite busy.

For me everything was perfect, the room was always clean and tidy. The staff put effort into making sure we were taken care of. They were always nice and polite. The beach is beautiful, the towels were always there. Breakfast was tasty. I have no complaints whatsoever. I spent a wonderful time in Ocean Bay and I’d be glad to come back one day. Cheers for the whole Ocean Bay team!

We are so happy we chose Ocean bay for our honeymoon. The staff is extremely sweet and helpful. Beautiful views and tasty food both from the pool and the beach restaurant - also veggie options! Even more beautiful in real life than the photos. Just a dreamy place overall, a true paradise. We highly recommend it to everybody travelling to Phu Quoc.

We spent our honeymoon here and had a villa directly on the beach. We definitely recommend the hotel to everyone who is looking for a special and quite luxurious place to relax and to enjoy an amazing view - it was extraordinary and the food was delicious. We couldn’t make a choice and always had a huge breakfast! The hotel staff is extremely kind and very supportive for any kind of wishes of their guests. Once we had a stomach issue, probably from some seafood the body wasn’t used to. The hotel personal immediately helped us out with local medicine and soup, looked after us several times and my husband felt better already the next day, thank you for saving our honeymoon and the great stay at your hotel!

Beautiful resort and excellent service. We stayed there for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time. We had upstairs room with garden and partial seaview. All of the staffs are super nice, friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very nice with a big variety of good food and excellent location with nice view of the infinity swimming pool and ocean. We went to the resort bar two evenings on the row and they had super nice cocktails and amazing fruit juice (Phu Quoc Tropical). Definitely a well deserved rating for the excellent quality.

Incredible experience. We were able to check in early and get laundry service expedited since we had been traveling for over a week. Really tasty welcome drinks, the property was gorgeous as almost everything was made from wood since the owner I heard has a wood business. No place like it anywhere else on the island. The cocktails were great and the seafood on the pier restaurant was incredible. We did end up using the on site spa for massages and were extremely relaxing. Katemi in reception was a great help. Beds and pillows were very comfortable as well.

Gorgeous room, best breakfast I’ve ever had at a beach resort. Employees are extremely friendly and amazing at their job - 11/10 experience, would recommend to everyone (including my mother).

A true paradise in Phu Quoc. Enjoy the peace and chill vibes by one of the nicest beaches on the island, spend your day by their amazing infinity pool surrounded by beautiful nature and don’t miss out their delicious food and drinks offering. We spent 4 nights and 5 days in one of the beautiful sidewalk bungalows which was perfect, a super comfy bed in a spacious and very private room with a semi open air toilet where you can take a nice bath and hear the wildlife surrounding you (birds singing, frogs, lizards). The service is excellent from the moment you get out the car after you arrive, super gentle, attentive and well educated personnel, from managers to operational staff. My favorite moment was the sunset as you have plenty of option to enjoy it from: the pool, the decking into the sea, the beach, the cocktail bar, your room, it was lovely.
The breakfast served from the second floor is delicious and you have a wide range of options from the traditional Vietnamese and Asian dishes to the more European choices. I recommend to at least have dinner there once during your stay, the quality was great but maybe a bit pricey.
You can rent a motorbike, bike, kayak or paddle surf board at very good prices. There is an SPA in-house that we didn’t use.

What a magical paradise. The beach is one of the best I have ever seen, so much beauty in one place. It’s all very natural so you are literally living amongst the Mother Nature. You don’t feel like you are in a hotel as the space is huge. We stayed in V03 which is villa one bedroom with Privat pool that was just magnificent views. Staff is very friendly and trying their best. Be patient their English is not great. We loved the restaurant too and had a very good friendly waiter that always looked after us and his English was good, his name is as Khanh.
My 6 year old son had a blast just all day playing in pool and beach. They also do very good yoga class at 7am the teacher is very good and I have been doing yoga for over 20 years.
Yes there are some small improvements that could be made to get it to 5 star plus like breakfast choices, the outside toilet, the stand up paddle could be better quality.
But that is not what you paying for here as the set up and type of beach will become harder and harder to find. Thank you Ocean Bay team for making this truly amazing experience

GREAT resort! This was by far the most beautiful place we lived during our three weeks in Vietnam. The staff is very nice, and the bungalows and resort area are amazing (even better than in the pictures). The only downside is the food, which is average (at best).

Stayed here for 4 nights during our honeymoon. It was fantastic, the rooms are very unique and the service is great. Only downside is the restaurant at the hotel, but there are plenty of others to choose from nearby!

It’s one of my best stays ever. Super luxury boutique property right on the beachside. Beautiful clean beach… Our private pool was also amazing. The hospitality was awesome to another level. They made special arrangements for us ! Breakfast in our private pool was also super special. Mr Trung at the reception made the experience even more amazing !! He gave us special local homegrown gifts. Whatever I needed from the supermarket he arranged at the hotel itself !! He gave us the best service ever !! Must visit place !!

Beautiful, serene and relaxing location. Lovely tranquil rooms that are clean and natural bathrooms that were perfect with the setting. Amazing private beach. Best part of all were the morning yoga lessons. Teacher was really excellent and this was the perfect start to every day.

Beautiful resort with wonderful details and the most amazing team. We loved the breakfast (especially the traditional Vietnamese corner und fruits) and the overall hospitality of everyone working at Ocean Bay Resort and going the extra mile for their guests.
I would recommend to book a room in the garden area, which is really beautiful!
Definitely coming back when on the island again.
