I am so glad that I found this place. I was looking for good pork belly around San Marcos area and was able to buy it in a very good price. Brandon was very kind and explained meat very well. I am so excited to try them out soon!

How good is the brisket you ask, so good we drove 1 hr in yucky traffic to buy some so my friend could take some home to her husband,they do not live in SA. DITTO to the reviews on the smoked salad,I have never tasted chicken salad as great as this. The Happy Hen eggs , the hens are happy for sure great tasting eggs.We left with a bag of goodies.BUT the best part of trip was Daniel so nice ,friendly;he knows his product and was able to answer all of our questions.It is great to see some who really enoys what they do.We even talked him into taking a pic with us so we can post. THANK YOU DANIEL from your newest loyal customers.Keep doing what you are doing. Thank you to the sweet young lady that took the pic for us.

Wow wow wow. This place is great. I had been craving a New York style deli sandwich but there aren't really any options in town. My wife and I drive by here on our way to work so we looked up what they had and saw the pastrami and had to try it. We were not disappointed. When you walk in you're greeted by friendly staff and a case full of beautiful meats. Cured and raw. Cooked or fermented. They have the good stuff. We got local blue cheese which was amazing, sopressata, boudin and the pastrami. We had a very decadent meal as you can tell. We are so happy a place like this is in town. We'll be back... soon. We are falling for you 3 6 general.

I had an odd order request for some slabs of pig skin. They made it happen with no problem at all. Great service.

This place is an absolute asset to the city of San Marcos. Not only is ALL their product top notch, their staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Best wine selection in town. And they got all the Texas beers I love! If you’re a foodie, SHOP HERE!

I’ve been a fan since opening! I’m moved to review because my kids just slammed the meal I made using a surprise cut of meat from my monthly butcher box. It was really amazing. I used the tallow instead of butter in the pan, seared the flank stank after a salt pepper dry mustard rub, also sub’d butter for tallow on the rub. I can’t wait for leftovers.

What I love about the butchers box is that it has stuff I would never pick, like pickled mushrooms Put my salad on a different level.

It is always a treat to shop at this local gem. Worth the price, worth any wait in line.

So glad I stopped in here the other day. My friends have been raving about this shop and the folks who run it-- recommending it repeatedly. Now I see why! This is just what San Marcos needs. I've been craving the jerky and pork belly ever since I got some. Can't wait to go back. So glad I can get gourmet food here, and served by super friendly folks. I really appreciated the manager recommending some places eat/drink since I just moved back to town -- she's super nice!

One of my favorite places in San Marcos. The meat their is unmatched in quality. The local vegetables are wonderful and their wine and beer selection is very good. On top of that the lunch menu is delicious!

My friend and I wandered in by accident (we thought it was the BBQ joint in the same complex), but it soon became a happy accident. The guy working was super nice. He gave use a salami sample. I don’t usually like salami, but it was the bees knees.

I figured we should get something since we walked all the way there, so we got the sliced brisket. Holy smokes!! It was delicious. We ate the whole quarter pound on the walk back.

We are still talking about it. It’s that good.

We wait to try the hot barbecue soon.

Went there close to closing and the shopkeep kept feeding me samples, each tastier than the last. She was super friendly and kind and gave me THE BEST water I've EVER HAD. Service was so good I went back the next day for lunch, had the pork belly rice bowl...omg it was so delicious that IM COMING BACK TODAY. All hail the food gods that deposited this Lil slice of heaven in San Marcos.

Rueben Sandwich was dope. Great selection of meats and snacks. Beer and cider selection are phenomenal.

We took advantage of Three Six's $100 dollars worth of meat for $80 deal today and we picked up some summer melons, too. We LOVE this place!! When we talk with other people about it, so many are excited... some say it's too expensive... but you aren't just buying their dank, locally produced food... you are basically donating to a good cause every time you shop there because they do their best to support local farmers in the community. They are one of the most recent reasons our local small farmers have available places to sell their goods. San Marcos is a hotbed of farm to table activity and Three Six is helping this to continue to happen. Thank you, Three Six General

Fresh meat is outstanding! Bought Angus steaks and they were super fresh. I am not too big on salami, but we took several slices of each and all of them were great! The service is very friendly too. We are glad we found this place!

OMG, on Saturdays they offer meats they smoke by the pound, we sampled the smoked pastrami and beef brisket, and immediately proceeded to purchase some!! The pastrami almost did not make it home, it was so good!!! Great business to support that uses local products that are not tainted with the additives and preservatives found in most grocery store bought meat.

Literally wearing the 36G tee as I write this! HUGE fan of the team and the quality of the fare they sell. You can't go wrong with the smoked chicken salad, the wagyu bavette, or the pork belly bites. OH...and if you are wanting a top quality bird for your Thanksgiving dinner, THIS is the place to order it from...but hurry! (I paid my deposit this afternoon!)

We buy things from them at the Mueller Farmers Market but went to the source. The Andouille and their smoked chicken salad are our faves.

Grateful there’s a high quality meat market in town. We went to Whole Foods the other day and got their grass fed pastured ribeye and, I’m grateful for my food, but I must say the Whole Foods meat was like eating a dried out log compared to the quality meat at three six general.

I will never buy meat from HEB ever again! This establishment was absolutely wonderful, from the extremely nice and helpful staff to the mouthwatering pork loins. You havent tasted real meat until you've gotten it from a local butcher. Bravo, you've gotten a regular customer now!

Great butcher, general store of local dry goods and produce. Ethically raised dry aged meats, great cured meats and cheeses, and the hot brisket and pastrami on Saturdays is the best I've had in this town. Shop here to support locals and local farmers and ranchers.
