Academy Sports + Outdoors

Had to drive an 1hr from out of town to get my purchase. Thank you guys for getting me loaded up with my new BBQ pit. You guys had my order ready for pick-up curb-side in no time.

I primarily buy Wrangler jeans from Academy, price was 19.99 for years, now at 24.99. Still a fair price considering how many products have drastically increased in price over the last 3 years.

Quick and easy trip. Went in to update my husband and son's fishing license. My nephew came across a great one some Nike Air Max shoes. They were marked down to 79.98 then we asked the sales manager if this was the correct price he said yes plus you get an additional 50% off. He was so excited. You never know what you find when you are not looking to buy. When you are looking to buy you never find anything.

We needed to buy new basketball shoes. After looking for a few minutes and asking an employee, we found the basketball section. My son found shoes in our price range that he liked.

Not far from my hometown of Wimberley Texas, went on a Monday morning and there was plenty of parking even with plenty of customers in the store. Applied for a card from them and was immediately approved, definitely easy to lose track of time here! Great staff great customer service and a pleasant store, 4.9/5 cause nobody's perfect.

Amazing experience. We shop at academy often and have always had a great experience, but today was surprisingly positive.
We purchased a large product last night, and when we got it home and unpacked it, parts were missing, and we were very disappointed. I called and spoke to Jacob, and he confirmed we could bring it back with the receipt even though we had already placed the box in the dumpster. Fast and easy return completed today. Thank you for the fantastic service!!!

Ritchie and his team provided the best retail customer service I’ve experienced in several years. I was in the market for an upright exercise bike and had a good idea of the brand and model I wanted to try. Two competitors said I’d have to buy it unassembled from them and if it didn’t fit me, I’d have to pay the shipping to return it. When I called Academy in San Marcos, Ritchie said they had one in stock but would need a day to assemble it so I could try it. That worked for me. The next day Ritchie’s team members had it ready for me to try and helped me adjust the seat and handlebars. Perfect! We closed the sale. Ritchie later personally called the third party delivery business to smooth out a delivery issue. The team’s friendly, knowledgeable personal service made this an enjoyable purchase experience. I’ll be back!

I was in the store during the week of Christmas. It was packed and I expected that check out would be at least a half hour. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was well staffed with helpful pleasant people who kept the lines moving at a brisk pace. I am an Academy shopper.

Bought my first firearm at this location. I've never had an issue here. They always have the ammo I need, and plenty of accessories. The store is always clean and the employee's are always very nice. Highly recommend this location!
