Starbucks

Just bc Starbucks is known for having exacting standards for its stores does not mean such striving excellence erases uniqueness and personality. To the contrary, in my experience at several Starbucks the striving for excellence enhances customer experience.

The Starbucks on 1144 Elliott Way is an example of a space of genuine hospitality. After being rerouted away from I-5 north towards the stadiums, and then finding that 99 was jammed, many of us decided to take Elliot Way to head towards the Ballard area and beyond after being in mind numbing traffic from the ramp on Dearborn being closed.

This Starbucks was the first place that we could pull in for a break. I was served by Gus who very graciously asked how the day was going and they got a less than enthusiastic response, there was a genuine sympathy and compassion… At 4:30 in the afternoon. I was very pleasantly surprised by the deliciousness of the new hazelnut oat milk iced espresso drink, I mistakenly assumed it had the shot of olive oil in it, like the other iced espresso drink I like. When I realized my mistake Gus immediately offered to make the drink I wanted and though I didn't take them up on the offer this time, I appreciated that the desire to get the right drink for me was foremost.

As the banter was sincerely engaging, more information about the day was shared and a genuine connection was made -- which had the effect of humanizing me after an hour of sitting in an excruciatingly slow traffic jam.

Other cars were pulling in, other customers were coming in, and I noticed the same level of engagement for them. And there's always something magical about genuine Customer Service being offered late in the afternoon when people are worn down and tired.

I remember Gus's name and I will be back the next time I'm driving by.

Ate inside before heading to dental appt on same road. Haven’t been here in few years, but the inside decor of this hipster vintage like booth seats are pretty cool.

Very friendly greetings upon entering. I wasn’t feeling social so it was a bit overwhelming to be greeted so kindly and to have conversation with a young lady who really was just delightful.

They remade my coffee from a previous Starbucks that was making me ill.

This staff is incredible! Always friendly, polite and very professional. I just wish that Starbucks would change their menu and bring in some decent tasting food. What happened to the chorizo breakfast sandwich and the chicken sandwich with gravy? I really miss these two items

What a busy little Starbucks I see 😅, and yet the staff does all they can to pump out those ridiculous orders of these 9 to 5'ers lol. Glad the Chestnut Praline Latte is back! Also noticed today that they accept TIPS ON CARD TRANSACTIONS! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Don't forget to tip your baristas.

I put in a special online order and needed to substitute a drink. I called the store and August helped me out. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was right. I felt so taken care of. You’ve been blessed if August is taking care of you at Starbucks!

A most excellent experience, the starbucks team here is the best of the best, they have teamwork, communication skills and polite and effective employees. I used to work here and it changed my entire life for good! I highly reccomend this Starbucks for everyone who loves Nitro Coldbrew.

Great location (right between Queen Anne & Belltown) -- perfect for when you need a drive thru. Usually pretty fast, too! The baristas are so nice and do a great job with both standard and specialty drink requests.

Came to work here one morning and love all the staff here! They’re so friendly and bright :)

I always feel welcomed at this store. Everyone is very kind and personable. It’s pouring down rain but the customer service is like a day of sunshine! Okay.. didn’t realize how corny that sounded until I typed it. Anyways, great job team! My go to store for sure.

starbacks has the best costumes for the season and is now a big part of Seattle based comedy studios that have been accumulating more than one million in my tummy cheese for years.

My story of #First time having #starbucks in my #life

I felt so #shy to what order because I have No idea What this place is?
I start shaking and felt my #heart about to #stop when my turn to talk to the nice lady Who asked my friends and I (What would you like to order?)

I felt like I am about to cry because the embarrassment for becoming speechless and yet we still need time to read the #menu

On the other hand, I turned to my #Mexican #friends ask their #help but their English not that #good like mine and they are not familiar with the drinks here too.

After ward, the #barista was so nice and she gave us a time to think; also she helped us to choose too.

Finally, the #decision was #sweet and #cold drink. To be honest I still don't know what I ordered but I remember I enjoyed it by drink it with 2 straws. It cover the whole #mouth to feel the #flavor of the #sweetness stronger and sharper in a good way.

Additionally, I recommend you to try drink your #cold #drink with 2 #straws

In Conclusion, How order a #coffee or ride a #bus is a small thing and not a big deal at all to me now, but 11 years ago were a big deal for real.

I was getting my vehicle checked out down the road I told my server and she said,"that's great you'll be with us for a while." A very welcoming feeling and now it's my go to when I bring my Range Rover into the specialist just down the road within walking distance.

My dog and I love this place. It’s our go-to. My dog gets a puppaccino (pup cups for the win), my car gets drooled on and in (by my dog, not me or the staff), and I get caffeinated. Win/win for everyone.

Also, 5 stars goes out to the week-day regulars in the drive through who know how to join the double lane and order quickly, keep a short distance to keep people off the road. A real team effort.

Friendly and professional service. Quick, with hardly any wait time. My drink tastes great. Easy on and off of the main road. Great spot to grab a coffee on the way to work. Never had any issues here.

For the select few people who decide to go to Starbucks based on reviews I’m not sure what you’ll get out of this. I went it because I wanted to try the Pink Drink which was amazing. The staff person who took my order was very friendly and genuine spelled my name on the cup with a k not a c which never happens so should you ever read this thank you. Has parking, isn’t in the center of downtown, isn’t usually very busy. Everything I want in a Starbucks.

I'm not saying I'm addicted to the stuff, but please don't get between me and that Starbucks.

Super kind baristas even at the height of rush hour. There was a fairly long line because it’s on a major road on a lot of people’s commutes, but they were still super efficient, and I was out five minutes. Overall, really spectacular service and got the order perfect.

Best coffee in the world understaffed is really a really really on Target

This is by far the easiest and fastest Starbucks location! We often will drive here even though it is further from other locations because of the drive-thru and how fast they manage the lines.
