This place rules. I’m new to the neighborhood and thought I’d never find a replacement for my old wine store. I was wrong! West Seattle Cellars has great selection and reasonable pricing. But the best part is the proprietor is helpful, afable, likes to geek out about wine, and, best of all, makes great recommendations for your taste and price point.

They special ordered my favorite Santorini wines!! The prices were the same as if it were bought on Santorini! I’m impressed. I’ll be ordering many more cases from them.

Great place to get a bottle of wine, especially when you no nothing about wine! My wife said I’d like a Rose, when I walked in I was greeted and asked “How can I help you?”. I said looking for a Rose, don’t know anything else but Rose! He showed me what they had, made a suggestion, sold. My wife absolutely loved the wine! I’ll be back again to get another bottle! Let’s all continue to shop small to help our local businesses!

I have been going to West Seattle Cellars for years now (certainly since before the pandemic) and really appreciate the weekly wine tastings on Thursday nights and occasionally on weekends. Prior to this, I would buy wine and champagne at grocery stores, liquor stores, Costco, etc. if I thought I might like it, or if something was on sale that sounded interesting - very hit-or-miss. Now, pretty much every bottle is something that I bought because I tasted it first, and bought a couple of bottles of what I liked best - no duds, ever! (I also learned from the tastings how many wines it turns out I *don't* like - not because they're "bad" but because there are certain bottles that I like much better than others, even from the same region, same grape, or same wine style. Valuable education!) Tom and Jan are very knowledgeable and will help you find whatever you need for your occasion.

I love this wine shop. The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Their selection is great for a small shop with interesting wines from around the world plus as the standard greats you would expect. They have wines in a range of prices from very affordable to the top tiers.

Stopped in when I saw Tom sitting there at his desk. I had a stroller and my 4 year old grandson and he let me come in with both of them! Asked for a medium priced red blend and his suggestion was very good.

This wine shop has a wide selection of wines, and it was nice because the atmosphere here is very relaxing. The service was one of a kind and thanks to its staff, who did an amazing job. Jan and Tom are lovely, friendly wine experts, and they will help in the biggest and smallest of ways. Want to order champagne for a wedding? They'll help you choose the right one for your taste and budget and quickly order it for you. Want to know which wines go great with mac 'n cheese? They've got you covered! We've frequented their store and been in their wine clubs for years. We have learned so much about wines from around the world through their clubs, dinners, and tastings. Whether you are new to wine appreciation or need a reliable supplier who can understand your tastes, this place is hands-down the shop to go to. And you'll feel great about supporting a local small business. This place is a gem!

Tom and Jan's wine shop is the best. They cater to a variety of price points and tastes, and I love the friendly neighborhood feel of the place. They're very approachable and helpful whether you're a a wine newb or an aspiring sommelier. My wife and I love that we're able to get a customized case each month of different bottles suited to our preferences and budget.

You cannot find a better place to buy wine in West Seattle! Highly informative staff, interesting & inspired selection of wines from all over the world, and regular wine tastings. Great place!

If you want wine and want to learn about wine, there is not better place to shop. i drive here from capital hill just to listen to Thomas wax poetic about wines of the world, his knowledge is encyclopedic and his recommendations are always on point.
