What a nice “tiny house” bookshop. If they don’t have what you want in their inventory, they will of course order it for you. I like patronizing small independent booksellers like this one. There are two floors with a great kids section considering the size. Hey, it’s a tiny shop, but so very cool! Stop in and take a look! I’d rather order a book here than Amazon! I wish I lived close by.

Small, but very nice book store right on Rt. 1 in York, ME. The Booktenders has a nice variety of books for all ages and is definitely worth a visit when you're in the area

What a cute store!! Loved the selection of stickers by the register, my wife went HARD on those. They had some books I haven't seen elsewhere. Very nice owner (I assumed she owned the place!) too, I witnessed her special order a book and take a customer's name down, said it would be there in just a couple of days. In case that customer doesn't leave a review, just know that was noticed and I know they were excited when they left the store.

Came here with my mom this weekend, we come up a few times a year from CT and noticed this book shop for the first time. It is so adorable with a great selection of books. The owner is so nice and there is an adorable little children’s section upstairs with a table and chairs. Definitely a must visit if you love to read and are In the area

We stopped by this magical little bookshop purely by accident and what a wonderful place! The books on the shelves were thoughtfully curated and represented a myriad of authors! It was clear the owner and staff care for their community and the world at large. Anytime we are driving to Maine, we will always stop by and pick up a book! Thank you for existing and sharing your own brand of magic with the rest of us!

The owners passion is so clear from their dealings with each and every customer. They are so interested in knowing what the customers like so they can alter and cater to the people. I've already made a few trips and I plan on making many more.

What a gem! Small store with great titles, friendly owners and cozy atmosphere. Can imagine curling up here in the rain. Delighted upon bell hooks’ essays on love and many other great, relevant titles. Placed a special order and will be back.
