Safeway

Where do you buy your apples? If you're like me, you take your apples consumption seriously. WFM on Ocean, in The City, has some ok apples. Likewise, does Lunardi's, Molly Stone, Dean's Market, and Trader Joe's. But as of lately, 8/2023, I have given the edge to Safeway. Particularly their Envy and Pink Lady apples.

Safeway was and always will be my favorite Grocery store. And I am so totally not influenced when coming to this conclusion, simply that 4 of my friends and/ or family members are currently employed with the above mentioned company.
Who doesn't love our iconic Safeway stores anyway? Goes without saying and always positive experiences, greatly accumulated for decades now! It's a Union house! This makes it also a plus for thousands of workers depending to support families!

Customer service was great. This is the first safeway that i seen build like this. The sandwich lady made me a prefect sandwich which tasted soooo good. She made it with love. Also like always i found amazing deals like 2 for six for the ritz chips and because the raider m&ms were on clearance a nice cashier lady give them to me for half off. Overall i give them a A+. The store was veey clean and so was the restroom. I usually take pictures of the store I'm in but i was so busy enjoying my shopping i forgot.

What a great store, I didn't mind the ones and the staff was so nice. Good work everyone! Easy to find everything I needed, good floor planning!

One of the cleanest and modernized Safeway's in the area. I love coming here at night when it's not as busy to grocery shop or just walk through the isles treasure hunting for snacks.

Unlike Safeway's in SF. The aisles are well stocked and the staff are all friendly, always ready to help answer questions or make recommendations. There's also a huge parking lot which makes this location very convenient for it's driving customers.

During the day and on weekends, it can get crowded with long lines at the register which is why I prefer to shop here at night.

Overall, Safeway in Millbrae is a great place to go for groceries. It has a wide variety of products, competitive prices, friendly service, and a clean and modern atmosphere. I highly recommend Safeway to anyone looking for a convenient and affordable place to shop for groceries.

Update. I found peppermint syrup later, but not in a coffee section but at deli, just was passing by a noticed those bottles in a location no one will look for. Safeway needs better organization and structuring, just in case went to coffee/syrop aisle, that had all the other syrops but not peppermint...

This location reminds me of the Burlingame location but it's bigger. Location was perfect as I am staying in Burlingame & they were open later. They even had the coolest shopping cart escalator that brought the cart down as I took the stairs! I've got friends where I live that thought I was full of ca-ca. Maybe a little but that's another story. Thx for being there for us late night freaks!!

It looks better than normal average Safeways

Love love love!! I've never seen a wine selection like this in a Safeway over East or any Market but a girl can get use to this!

I've been drinking suja drinks for a while now, I usually get the greens at Costco but I saw that Safeway carries that same brand more variety, but not all Safeway I'm glad that I found them here.

The Safeway is The Store, it serves so many people in Millbrae and is very popular. I find it comfortable and cozy, I kind of not feel it, just flow through it.

The workers are friendly and professional, no complaints. The quality is always high.

The only two prposals I do have, although very weird ones, is to add European potato chips, 🥔 for ex. English and Italian, they are elegant and refined, incomparable to standard American ones.
And to add more local small brands of beers.
Stop. I don't drink anymore.
Why do I care?

My first or 2nd job was here during college and Jean Simon my supervisor. She always had me smiling happy to come to work. I really developed a love to work with customers and always thought of safety first.

Place is nice, clean, has friendly staff and they somehow make shopping on the second floor of their building a breeze. Big plus they're open later than any other grocery store in the bay it seems

This was today and i was leaving and me and my sisters didn't know we couldn't have the water bottles at the bottom of the cart and put it on the escalator and then it stopped working. At this point we were really embarrassed and felt very bad that we were holding it up. They had to call the manager and one of the employees was mad about it even though we didn't know we couldn't put the water bottle there but 3 other workers helped out and were very nice about the situation. Very good customer service and very kind people thank you so much and sorry about the inconvenience. Wish I could give a 10/5.

Store is located in 2nd floor, first floor has parking garage. Very well arranged and maintained store. Has a Starbucks inside. Great place to shop for groceries. Located close to San Francisco international airport.

Big store with a huge selection of ready to eat, fancy cheese, sushi, rotisserie, seafood. Large organic selection. And an ok gluten free selection. Best of all the staff are so friendly. I asked multiple members of staff for help and they all were kind and helping!

I'm given a 5 because of Julie in the bakery dept, who went out of her way Thanksgiving eve to me (a homeless person) by adding some wip cream on my single slice pumpkin pie as she had just turned off all the light and ready to punch out. Thank you Julie!

Store direct needs to stop being so sarcastic to employees n front of customers and restrooms need some serious attention.

This Safeway was amazing great selections, clean, and the gentleman at the meat department was very helpful and had such a positive attitude his name was Steven I was very impressed with his service this Safeway goes highly recommended by me!!!!

This Safeway location is specifically awesome because of its design! Its second-story build not only switches things up from the norm, but it makes it fun to go grocery shopping.

Safeway does its job adequately. I find myself coming here often, since I work across the street, and will never, NEVER set foot in Lucky. At least, not while that evil gnome is the manager.
