Dean's Produce

A rarity of grocery in the Peninsula. Great produce at reasonable prices, and a variety of packaged foods from Greece, Turkey, Middle East, Eastern Europe, Germany, Italy. A real reasure trove. Excellent selection of olive oils and Turkish delight. Why didn't I got here before? I wish we had anything like this in San Francisco.

Growing up in Millbrae, my family went to Dean's Produce on a weekly basis. We would always purchase their fruits and vegetables. The produce was always fresh. They've been consistent in providing quality produce.

But recently, I've been trying their other items, such as the honey in this photo. I love the European assortment of cheeses, breads, pastas, and pesto. So far I've tried their gnocchi and bread. Can't wait to cook with more of their other goods!

The owner and his team are super friendly. Very knowledgeable of which fruits are healthy for diabetics.

Good grocery store for various delis.
Selection of various pickles is changing not for good.

Also, they have this check in program each tenth visit you get a free chocolate Ritter sport was before now European milka. Prices went up significantly ((

Farmer's market-fresh produce, plus hard-to-find and unique international foods make this market our go-to for fruit & veg! Check out their chocolates, too! Wear a jacket if you're easily chilled, it's a refrigerator. Friendly staff, great prices!

Pretty good produce store. The service is excellent and the selection is great. The have some specialty Greek foods that are otherwise difficult to find. I pretty much get all of my produce here or at the nearby Lunardi's Supermarket.

Such a great find. Fragrant, juicy and not the ‘imported’ kind. Winter is here so I made ginger tea every day with it. Also the price is quite average.

I love this local neighborhood market. Good selection of produce and large selection of international foods from around the globe also have good selection of locally produced foods like honey. So much more convenient than going into a grocery store and the prices are reasonable. As a comparison, there is a Safeway about a block away. I will go to this market nine times out of 10 and it has everything I need

For the last 3 and half years, I shop all my grocery items from here. They always have fresh produce.

My favorite local grocer. This place, while small, has so many products that you can't get anywhere else. They have wonderful produce, that's our main purpose for shopping here. I'm always shocked by how cheaply we leave here, even with bags full of stuff. The staff is quick and checks out with such expediency! Very impressive. Definitely shop here.

This little market has a great selection of produce, packaged dry goods and ethnic desserts. Despite the tight quarters, it is clean, neat and very interesting because it is stocked with many European and Mediterranean goods. Prices are fair to low. Checkers are quick. This market is a gem on Broadway.

One of if not the best mom and pop stores in the bay area. One of a kind finds. Every August you absolutely must try their fresh white figs. Produce is top notch and very competitive prices. I go here all the time. They have two locations, one in Millbrae, the other in San Mateo.

Outstanding. Walked by this afternoon, remembered that I needed some fruits and saw that they had some fresh produce, so I walked in.

I was standing in front of the freezer contemplating some frozen delicious looking stuff, when the lady from the store came and explained and gave recommendations on what I should get IF I was interested.

The best was when She took the time to explain to me how to cook it when I checked out.

Nice little produce shop with many editors European items that you won't find in other stores. Crew is nice and helpful, family run small business with a sister store in San Mateo on 4th Ave. You'll find great deals now and then on fruits and vegetables but not only.

Every morning I walk by Dean's Produce and see them loading fresh produce into the store! There are a lot of great fresh vegetables and interesting fruits that you won't find at the nearby Trader Joe's or Safeway. All the fruits/vegetables are at very reasonable prices and there is a large variety of different spices in the back that can be used to cook various foods from around the world!

Dean's Produce either in Milbrae or San Mateo is a must visit place. Good prices, Good quality, Good selection. The 3 Good things for any shoppers. Seasonal fruits always are in display. Nice variety of vegetables. Cheese, salmons, ham, dry fruits. The list is longer and the Best is to stop by and witness the plethora of items at Dean's Produce. 😀😃😃
