Always a neighborhood gem, known for its wide selection of wines and spirits. At the end of 2022, they refurbished the interior, and it now has very comfortable seating in the main room and a delightful curved bar in the back room. The staff are as friendly and knowledgeable as they always were - there to offer good advice whatever your budget, and happy to let you get on with it if you know what you want. No high pressure sales tactics or attempts to up sell you here. Thoroughly recommended.

I’ve been shopping here on and off for about a decade. The wine is high quality. I also like the Japanese whiskey and scotch selections. I do miss the weekend tastings and I hope they return soon.

Just received a delivery from SFWTC ... super impressed with selection, price, shipping and timing. Due to COVID travel restrictions, I’m not sure if/when I’ll visit in person, but we definitely plan to ship again! 👍

This place is a "must visit" whether you just have a casual interest in wine & spirits, or you're an enthusiast. The depth of their catalog is truly immense, and well curated. If you're hunting for a special or uncommon liquor, they likely have it here. The staff were very welcoming, and almost effortlessly were able to recommend some great picks. Pricing is quite reasonable, they make an effort to offer a range of options with every type. A hidden gem in SF, will definitely be back

If you like quality imbibment then The San Francisco Wine Tasting is the place for you. It's a small out of the way boutique that caters to all walks of lushery. I showed up with a $100 gift certificate that was burning a hole in my pocket and they took excellent care of me. I spoke with the whiskey sommelier and left with a Sexton Irish Wiskey, a Smoke Wagon Burbon, and a 1888 Rum. They were all SUPERB and punched way above their weight. Thank You, Thank You and Thank You again for your perfect recommendations. I will be back for more.

Always friendly, always ready to help. They know their wines and can make great suggestions for any occasion or food pairing. Thank God for SFWTC, it's how I got thru COVID. Great selection of not only wines, but a really broad range of spirits, too. They're remodeling but open during the work. (As of 10/2022) Putting in a new tasting bar. They offer 10% off any wines in their tastings if you buy them that day. I will always go here rather than save a couple bucks at BevMo or Total Wine. You can't beat local!

This is a really good business, well operated and great service. The people that work here really care about making sure you are pleased with their service. My 1st order wasn’t complete, but it may have had more to do with the way I ordered being my 1st time navigating their site. When I called they picked right up and put me in touch with a very helpful member of their staff who got right on it and actually air freighted my item along with another order I placed, at their expense and I didn’t even ask. Seeing reviews from other online stores similar to this makes it clear that these folks set themselves apart from the pack. Keep it up!

Easy location, easy parking, reasonable prices! WOW. Great variety and the staff can't do enough for you, even elegantly wrapping gifts! Knowledgeable employees will educate and direct you. Don't be intimidated. Lots of tastings and events. Good things come in small shops. Support your local merchants. They have vast libraries stuffed in their heads unlike big stores where the employees know next to nothing and care even less. These guys have tons of gift options for client, family and colleague gifts. One stop shop I'd say.

Outstanding service. They have a great selection of wines including many unusual varietals and wines from locations not typically represented in dedicated shops. You'll find wines from Georgia, Greece and from regions of Spain, France and other places you'd never expect to find. Selectiin of spirits are limited but the section is well curated.

I've ordered from them a few times and only bottle has had a problem. I let them know and they responded within 24 hours that they would be sending a replacement (note: I didn't even request a replacement, I just merely wanted to let them know the wine they had may have gone bad).

Excellent ambiance, delectable wines, and knowledgable and courteous staff. What else could I possibly say about this wine shop? When they had all I required. The bottles of wine I purchased from here were very wonderful.I can't wait to return to this place.

We are Cellar club members and we go to almost every tasting on Saturday and Sunday. Gary, Julia, Austin and Kerry are extremely knowledgeable about everything in the store and take the time to find something that matches your price point and taste. Always a great time and a pleasant experience when we stop in. Their weekend tastings are very diverse and have helped immensely in developing our palettes.

Great selection, price and advice. Heard about a champion cocktail on NPR had like 5 liquors, some I had never heard of. I showed them the article and they had it all. There is a tendency to think that you can only get a decent price in a big chain like bevmo, but their prices are totally fair.

They have so many wines and liqueurs. All neatly organized. The staff is very well versed on their merchandise. You can find Pacharan there! These days they are renovating the store, but they are still open.

Gary and the others have always given us great recommendations for wines from their store, never steering us wrong at any price point or for any intended meal. The place is a gem.

I know very little about wine. When I go to the San Francisco Wine Trading Co. I feel very special. Gary and Julia Marcaletti as well as everyone working there are so knowledgeable about wine; I don't really have to know anything. I come in with what I'm eating and voila a perfect wine is selected that pares with my meal and at a price that I can afford. Expertise and value is what they deliver time and time again. Kudors to the owners of this great establishment.
