The Music Store

Cool used music store with lots of 7” vinyl records at fair prices. Some LPs are priced at the front. Theres also a lot of movies here too in all types of formats, dvd, blu ray, vhs, laserdisc. There are hardly and new items here, mostly used which has its pros and cons.

The upper terrace gives a nice overlook of the entire store.

I absolutely love this place!! Even though they don't always have the music I'm looking for, the owner and the atmosphere always make this place a fun trip when I'm in West Portal. I love checking out the different records, CDs, and other cool projects the store has. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the area and you want to check out a cool store!

Music stores are a rarity, so visiting my local music store was quite a treat. They have a wide selection of vinyls, CDs, DVD movies, and even blu-rays. Many of the vinyls aren't necessarily collector's favorite. Many of the covers that come with them have seen better days but they are offered at a very reasonable price that even competes with eBay prices. The guys behind the counter know their stuff, so if you need something they might have it in inventory so just ask!

I love this place. One of the best music/movie stores I have ever been to. The quality/square foot of store is #1 anywhere. The owner Shelby pipes great music through the store as well, and also DJ's a radio show in San Francisco Wednesday nights on KXSF FM.

These places are like Alice Cooper's baby teeth these days -- nearly impossible to find. You need personal service from a dude behind the counter who knows vinyl, and has the time to talk? You want to buy some good stuff, browse, support the local business, and surprise yourself? Get connected to the local music scene, discover the practice studios in back, find the cut-rate stuff at the top? The Music Store is your place.

Phenomenal selection, great music playing, friendly staff, fantastic store all together.

Went in here for the first time this weekend. Great selection at fair prices. Very friendly and knowledgeable owner working when I visited. Lucky that this is only a couple stops away from me on the M line, look forward to visiting again soon!
