**!! Please forgive my original review, as it was meant for Metreon! Don't know how it happened,but my neighborhood store Starco Mart is great! Always friendly and helpful,plus our occasional purchase of lottery tickets (scratchers) seem to be winners quite often!

This place is awesome, and pretty close to my favourite store (sounds sad, but it's that awesome). Such a wide selection for such a little store AND at great prices. Owners are also really friendly. There's a lot of stuff I'd rather get here Vs Trader Joe's/Safeway etc...and I get my Asian food fix all in the same trip.

Closed on Tuesdays and Sundays. Small store but A LOT of stuff here. Asian knick knacks, fried fish, Filipino products, lumpia, tocino, sauces, condiments, papaya soap and papaya lotion to brighten your skin, hot food later ke Chinese meat bun, lotto, broom (walis Tambo and walis Tingting), kitchen items like plates and stuff.

Love this place. The one on Howard around seventh. Great selection of the stuff you can't find at your other grocery store. Like surimi and cuttlefish balls and not-boring ramen and stuff to sprinkle on rice to make it actual food when all you have is rice. And you can get hot buns at the counter. Plus they're really nice to me, and I'm a weird old punk rock guy, so they'll prolly be nice to you too. 😊

I love starco Mart! Best little (but biig on the inside!)Asian Mart around. Got some canned ice coffee, shrimp chips, exotic mystery cookies, ( plus the basics likey milk, sundries too!), Plenty of frozen foods & island specialties etc..., And actual paper version of the FilAm times ( still free) on the way out the door. It's like a 10 minute vacation to the islands!

Good selection of Asian groceries. Support small local businesses. If you complain about the aisles being tight, then take your gentrifying ass to Target

Fantastic neighborhood store for Asian groceries. I was happily surprised to find everything from sweet potato noodles (japchae noodles) to ube halaya.

We live at SOMA residences, and often go down for last minute stuff - pretty good selection, and always friendly. Fair prices across the board
