Fantastic variety and helpful staff. The grain room is great to get the exact bill you need. Love the rewards program. Wide variety of hops. Only concern I have is the lack of sour yeast options but management gave me their card and said to let them know what I want so they can include it in their next order. Great customer service.

Great place for all your home brewing needs. I was impressed by their selection of bottles, carboys, hops, yeast, and everything else you could possibly need! I went in for yeast and some advice on brewing cider and they were very helpful. Note that there is a dog in there greeting everyone, but it's just looking for a petting. Very sweet! I highly recommend Sound Homebrewing for new or seasoned home brewers.

Love this place! The employees are all kind, helpful, patient and easy to work with. The other day I was there buying ingredients for a recipe and it’d been quite a while since I’d messed with the grain room. The staff saw me looking kinda lost and made themselves available without assuming or implying I needed help. (I totally did though lol) It was the perfect balance of attentiveness and support without being intrusive. In a Hobby often dominated by people who don’t look like me, this store is a beacon of support and safety.

I recently found this place by searching the web for brewing supplies. I had recently took an interest in brewing my own beer and decided to make an IPA Sound Homebrew helped me out by getting the supplies I needed. They are very personable and take the time to help you get your first batch off the ground.

I was fixing up an old kegerator. I know nothing. Will and Kirsten were so helpful. I was worried about hipster owners who would judge my ignorance. They are the exact opposite. They are so patient with all of my issues. Great detectives who are happy to troubleshoot over the phone. Will is so patient.

I was very excited to find a homebrew supply store nearby, and i was not dissapointed. I felt like a kid in a candy store. They have everything one might need to get into the craft. Their selection of fresh grains is great and the staff is incerdibly nice and knowledgeable. The shop has tons of equipment and even has a gorgeous store pup! 10/10 would reccomend. I will be returning often.

I'm new to this (I'm trying my hand at fruit wines and various hard ciders since I harvest lots of fruit locally every year as a serious interest) and the staff here answered all my questions (in person and over the phone) and shared resources for helpful tools online and let me print a bunch of wine recipes from their recipe collection in the store. Great place to go for supplies and information.

A great homebrew shop for beginners and experts alike! Staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help with any questions you have. I was working on putting together a pretty advanced tap system (actually a commercial tower with glycol, the whole bit) and needed a ton of different little parts and connectors to make it all work the rest of my existing kegs & CO2 setup - regulators, multiple and different sized manifolds, etc. I was worried going in that being a "smaller" sized shop they might not have everything I was looking for. Instead, I was easily able to find myself most of the components, and then with the help of one of the guys there that morning (New Year's Eve even!) found the last couple pieces that were a little trickier. I was worried since we were hosting a New Year's party that if something didn't work then I'd be out of luck. Was very confident leaving that I had everything and sure enough everything went together exactly as needed - it all worked like a charm, the party was a hit, AND everything was very reasonably priced! Much better than guessing at online descriptions/sizes, paying and waiting for shipping, and getting something that turns out wrong and having to worry about returns! They also reassured me if anything didn't work, I could bring it back and they'd return/exchange no problem. Very happy with my experiences here (also went once before for all the ingredients for a 10 gallon all-grain recipe). Happy to support a fantastic locally owned business! Will be back for anything else I need and all my recipes.

Most complete shop locally for essential equipment, ingredients, and supplies - some of the lowest prices in the region for bulk grain. Always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable toward our happy hobby. Been my go to store after Larry's shut down some years ago.

They were able to stay open through the initial part of C19 stay at home. Having supplies to brew back then, helped to maintain some sanity. Looks like we're all good to go moving forward - Any chance of a class on advanced brewing techniques?

First time in there. These guys were awesome. I thought I had a wacky plan to make a thing to replace a soda stream. They had me out the door with all the bits super fast.

Pro Tip: do not buy a thing called a CarboCap. That thing is garbage. A 20 dollar piece of garbage.

Very helpful staff. They even guessed i wanted to use the dark malted barley flour for baking bagels :-D
They said regular bakeries get their supplies from this store. If bakeries do, why would I not make the store my supplier too?

You can buy local malt here!! They are one of the few places where you can buy Skagit Valley Malting grains!!!

Well all we needed was some extra starsan and they had exactly what I was looking for. I have come to this store a few times and the staff has always been very knowledgeable and helpful. I realy appreciated some of the suggestions for a new yeast i hadn't previously used, it has now fermented and made it through the keg process and I'm looking forward to sharing it with friends when they come over this summer.
