My favorite of all the record stores I visited while in town. A great selection across multiple genres and the perfect balance between new and used inventory.
My favorite area was the alphabetized .50c bins! I found a lot of great stuff and know there are a lot of amazing things left for the next person to dig through all those crates!

One of the more difficult record stores to get to in Seattle but if you succeed in finding it then finding one of Georgetown's five available parking spots you will be rewarded. This great little shop, located in an old bank lobby, has records you won't find anywhere else in town, possibly in the entire state. A major emphasis is on Jazz, Psych and African music here. I knocked several things off my wish list and had to leave several behind, but I could have spent a ludicrous amount of money here if eating food wasn't so darn important. I didn't even realize they had a 50 cent discount section (hard left when you enter the door) so I will definitely be back when funds allow it.

This place is legit. Came into the city for a musical experience with a band mate and was blown away by the kindness and ingenuity of the owner, who was working on Labor Day. I was able to get a fair price on exactly what I was looking for, established a bit of an odd deal because I needed shipping, and he came through true as the North Star. Top notch company, support them!

I have a friend who's a beat maker visiting who wanted to scour Seattle record stores. I am a strictly digital media consumer so I have heartedly went along as a good host. I have say the place was teeming with records my friend was losing his mind over and they have a 50 Cent bin that he was rating for some cool finds. The adjacent comic book store is what really put this place in a whole new category of awesome. Lots of inde publication's and cool graphic novels that you wouldn't find in your superhero style comic book shops.

Helpful shop owner. Ran into him at the bar down the way a little while after he closed too! Very small town feeling inside. Great selection. They will let you listen to a record if you ask nice enough!

A small shop that somehow has something new and interesting every time I visit. I always walk out with something I'll spin again and again.

A great store, old vinyl and some museum pieces, such as a vintage record cutting lathe on display. Martin, the store's owner, is interested in a wild variety of music and wants the store to stock things you've probably never seen before. Lots of 45's too.

Not only that, but it is in the same space as the Fantagraphics Bookstore and Gallery which has ongoing shows of great cartoonists' work and a full line of Fanta books. A destination location, for sure!

Best record store in Seattle. MUCH friendlier and better prices than other places like Daybreak Records. Very well curated collection at reasonable prices, best "bargain bin" section in the city as well!

always love Georgetown records! they've always got an inventory that fluctuates and now it's great to have fanta graphics in the same place, to look thru the genius illustrations they are selling now. I could spend some serious time and money at that place. I just don't always have it! lol but Georgetown Records is one of, if not THE oldest stores in Georgetown. you've got to respect that! love you guys!

Be sure to check out the bargain bins. I almost missed them. Got a fun blues record there, Hubert Sumlin.
