Big 5 Sporting Goods

Around Christmas my husband went and got me cute house slippers from Bear Paw and got some thick socks on sale. I liked the socks and we ran back and got more socks and I grabbed some slip on shoes from Maui and Sons. Great prices on everything loved it all. People who work there are helpful and friendly.

Local store with good selection and prices the same or very close to what you find on the internet. Being able to try stuff on feel stuff in your hands. There's a lot better when you're playing sports

Staff helped me right away with questions & cashier helped me carry purchase to car! I haven't put together multi level weight bench yet but it was $89.99.
Dumbell set good quality on sale for $29.99 regular price 49.99.

Literally the best. I spent hours looking for the perfect shoes and tennis rackets and they were super supportive. Front desk even called other stores! Definitely recommend, coming back whenever I need athletic stuff.

I LOVE this place. Employees are always so helpful, they always know the greatest shoes to wear for whatever u need them for. I buy ALL of my shoes from them, they have the best sales too. Last time they had a promotion and I scored, big time. Work shoes, regular shoes, socks, etc. etc, they have u covered

i just went here for my fishing license :). the guy working here was really busy helping a customer but was very polite and told me it would be a few minutes because he had to deal with the other customer first.

I love this Big 5. It's not a large store, but they have a great selection of sporting goods, athletic shoes, and clothing. They have weekly sales that very often blow the competition out of the water. Plus, the staff is always friendly and helpful.

Was looking for a reasonably priced pair of athletic shoes. After sticker shock at 3 places, I decide to give Big 5 a try. So glad I did, same brands and decent selection. Got a pair of name brand athletic shoes for a great price, about 30% off the price I saw at a different store.

The Big 5 store on Convoy St. in San Diego CA always offers our family Outstanding customer service, and is my goto store when I need athletic supplies for a decent price and need them quick for my kiddos games, hiking trips, etc., same or next day. I always know they will have the item I need in stock, as opposed to the big corporate sporting goods chain stores who are always out of their "sale" items. Don't forget to sign up for their email specials too. The always have specials and email their coupons regulary. The only sporting goods store I know that lets members take an additional 10% off even on their sales items~discount coupons on top of sale price💪! Always give the Convoy Street Big 5 a go, 1st, when in San Diego, it's my favorite, and Ive been to all in town!

Very good customer service, I was in need of some black powder for a mini cannon I just got but unbeknownst to me they haven't carried that since 1990! Who knew? Obviously I didn't, but they threw out names of places that might help me in my quest.

One of the last and best sporting goods stores here in San Diego. It's small but full of everything you could need for sports. Everyday from rifles to kids little league and sports equipment. Definably my go to to for shoes and sports clothes. Be sure to sign up for their daily specials on email. Just a great little place. Help is eager, friendly and knowledgeable. Great selection!

I went to big 5 to help my mother get shoe support soles for her shoes 👟 and we were helped by a nice young lady. I haven't been to this store in years it was a pleasant experience not too many customers inside at the time which was good for social distancing 😷 and masks are required inside the store. They have protection screens to keep employees and customers safe. 😷 I'll be back soon. 👟

I love this store! Plenty of parking, easy to see from the street, very friendly staff, and great prices. Their sales and regular prices ALWAYS beet out other sporting goods stores. From camping gear to sports gear, we always find what we need/want. We've been loyal customers for many, many years and hope to never see them close.

Small sporting good store but they have just about everything you need. Kind of nice not being spread all over. Prices are great and they are always having sales. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help! The variety is fantastic which you wouldn't think because it's a small store. My favorite go-to for all of my outdoor needs.
