I'm very thankful that this grocery store exists in Castro valley. It used to be the only dedicated organic grocery stores for many miles around. The store is quite small so they are relatively limited in what they carry, but they do have a good amount of the basics for the size. The prices seem standard for organic foods. I have been shopping here for years and I've never had any complaints. The staff is very friendly and I've gotten to know many of them as great people over the years

Every person I have dealt with there is friendly and knowledgeable. They are attentive and willing to spend as much time with you as needed so you leave feeling like you have the right "medicine" for what ails you, and not "snake oil". I am not writing this in lieu of reward or discount. This is my honest opinion of my experience with this establishment. As long as I am in the area, (I live 3 hrs away) they are my go to for my health food and supplement needs.

This store has everything you need in natural foods and vitamins/minerals etc. The employees here are knowable and very helpful.Well worth a visit.

I accidentally gave the guy an extra 20$ bill. I was almost out of the store but the guy called me back to give me the money. He could’ve easily kept it without me knowing. Good person!

Good variety of products. Bulk herbs, fresh fruits & vegetables, frozen items, etc. I bought some bulk bee pollen and bulk dried elderberries. Lady working the floor was helpful without being pushy and annoying.

Very good. I love going to them because they are very helpful and so knowledgeable in many Health Foods and Health herbs, Supplements and Vitamins. Now some items are a little pricy but by far they are one of the very best in the East Bay. Customer Service is always a pleasant experience.

It's like a Whole Foods but smaller; the best thing is that it's a small business and not a large corporation. That being said, lots of great items. From chemical-free beauty products to vegan, dairy free and gluten free foods in cans, packages, and frozen foods. Fresh organic produce too, and, at times, ready-to-go sandwiches and salads. Their tea selection is also worthy of praise - it's upstairs - huge and varied selection. I'm so glad this place exists!

Great stuff here. Great organic stuff, supplements, salads and i love their gluten free stuff too. Great selection. The people who work here have always been there to help out if needed. Prices are decent too.

Great small, family oriented health food store, with a wide selection of goods both fresh and canned/bottled, as well as a generous bulk foods selection.

I love this little store. It's within walking distance of my daughters home. Friendly helpful staff. I will miss purchasing the amazing Califia almond milk chocolate maca protein drink. They will no longer be carrying this item 🥺, but I'm happy that I bought the last one they had. I do hope that Califia brings this item back.

GREAT and friendly service. Very informative. I was given many choices that fit my needs. Also many alternative suggestions to help my needs. Ive been coming to Health Unlimited in Castro Village for about 40 years! LOVE THIS PLACE!

Great store to get all of your health needs. They even have a small refrigerated section with fresh greens and some fruit. It is limited. The staff is friendly and helpful.

If you’re looking for Raw milk this is the spot! I come here for all my vitamin needs and herbal tea. They are really helpful and knowledgeable people.

Kind of expensive but they have a lot of produce selection. For grocery shop is very good, fresh food.
