This store has friendly, helpful staff, excellent prices, and a varied selection of grocery items. The fruit and vegetables are fresh, the meat is cut well, the Deli is fresh and the bakery is wonderful. The items are rotated for freshness, and they are always stocking because of the popularity of the store

We do just about all of our grocery shopping at Market Basket in Portsmouth. They almost always have everything we need in stock. Nice clean store, most of the staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking, easy in and out, and great shopping hours as well.

People love their Market Basket = Always crowded. Well stocked, good variety of goods, fresh vegetables, deli, fish counter, bakery items, narrow selection of wines. Not the most modern or updated, but overall nice store, lot of young employees, feels like family run store.

Love shopping here! I can always find what I need. Prices fit my budget more than other stores do. I plan my weekly menu by utilizing the weekly flyer and bu y ing extra, if the price is right, for the freezer.

Had a wonderful ham and cheese with bacon and veggies large sub made in front of me for only $5.69! Super generous portions., Split it with my grandson.

Best prices, great quality products, and they even have delicious, inexpensive sub sandwiches that put the sandwich chains to shame.

I love this place - friendly employees, good prices, and printed lists of what is in each aisle that anyone can take home to create their next shopping list in order. I've also seen some of them carrying heavy bags out for people who are frail.

This store has great prices. The store is clean and I didn't have to wait in the checkout line. I guess I went at the right time.

Great service, selection, and prices. A bit cramped and crowded but lives up to the reputation of the only supermarket I'm aware of that has a book and a movie about it.
June '22 update: so far prices seem less affected by inflation than in other supermarkets.
Nov '22 Still offering excellent prices, service, and well stocked shelves.
Feb '23 Well stocked and some prices (lemons and limes have come down).
Jul '23 Prices still lower than local competition.

Market Basket is the best. I love that I can find "specialty" items like guava juice, kim chi and my fav protein bars. Good prices, hometown vibes.

First time here at this grocery store was several weeks ago and it was a very good experience. Have been back many more times and have enjoyed my shopping trips each and every time. A lot of items here are not found in other larger stores. Staff is quick to help you find or get what you need. Very friendly and courteous. Thank you for a refreshing change from a big box style of service.

Each!! 4 wheeling next day and subs were excellent!! Plenty of sauce...cold but ..hit the spot...5 people fed...for $8.00..

Don;t get any better. The best lowest prices. In the state. Great meats, amazing bakery. Best selections. The butcher is always happy to cut a roast to exactly the size and weight I want. The meat is fresh and as good as any butcher shop.

This is a must do unfortunately we only have one in the area and it's almost an hour ride for us. But they have a fantastic deli I mean it's just a must try they have a takeout and they have this grinder called the bomb I recommend everybody try at least once and like I said once again their prices are fantastic it's very clean but please and the prices are fair

Right now, go here no supply problems . There are a lot of good products for cost. Good bagels at 2/$4. Their beef franks $3. I like the Lime chips big bag for $2. Their brands are comparable with other store's brands. The MB ravioli is very good. The woven wheat are a good Triscuit knock-off.

Great products the best cashier's and workers still the best price for everything I need.
