Jack's Hardware

Helping my daughter move in at University of Michigan, of course we needed some hardware items so I googled hardware stores near me. Jack's hardware popped up.

Boy am I glad I stumbled upon this fantastic hardware store. This is a REAL hardware store! I thought they were all gone. I couldn't believe all the different items they had it was fantastic. The hardware in my hometown (Melvin's) closed and I'm stuck with big box stores that only sell packages of screws bolts etc and never have small fittings and things that you need. For example Jack's sells screen door repair, cabinet parts and individual screws nuts and bolts of every size kind length and material you could ever imagine.

The staff was extremely professional and efficient in finding every item on my list. Not only did they have everything I needed they helped me find each item. It would have taken me an hour at Home Depot or Lowes to find these things. Good luck trying to find anybody to help you with those places.

I thanked staff members Charlie and Shaman first of all for being open on Sunday afternoon, second for running such an awesome store with all these wonderful things I've mentioned above and third helping me find everything. I was in and out with all the stuff I needed in 10 minutes.

My hat is off to the owners and staff at Jack's for running such a fine establishment. So if you need any hardware, especially hard to find items just go to Jack's they'll take great care of you. Thanks Charlie for making miserable move-in day much better. Keep up the great work!

OMG! What an awesome little hardware store with great people. I spent like $0.60 on a couple bolts and washers and the guy spent way too much time with me and was just awesome. If you're anywhere near here and need anything you could get at a hardware, store please come and give them their business.

Thank you for encouraging me to repair the lights myself and not needing to call a n electrician. Excellent advice from a true neighborhood hardware store.

I love Jack’s! They almost always have what I need, are super convenient, and all the employees are always so nice and helpful. Plus, as a woman who usually *does* need help, they’re always helpful without being condescending

He was helpful and had a lot of things to fix your house. I had no idea it was there before Google and was pleasantly surprised by location. I didn't need a big box store like Lowe's. Sometimes you just need a few nails. Saved me a long drive.

I will always come to Jack's over the big box stores whenever I can. Everyone who works there knows where everything is and they are always ready to take you right to it. It is really amazing how much they pack into such a small place. If you go in at the right time, free doughnuts and coffee! Love it.

Everything was reasonably priced if not super cheap. Staff was helpful and nice. Definitely the place to go if you need a couple things for a project or something.

Very experienced and helpful. Their advice is always in the customers best interest, even if it means you make a smaller purchase. Employees are also happy to help tackle problems if you bring things into the store.

Jack's Hardware is quite literally the best establishment in Ann Arbor.

As out-of-state college students with an awful landlord (who consistently refuses to fix problems), Jack's employees always have exactly what we need, and will give us step-by-step instructions to fix everything from doorknobs to burst pipes.

This is a phenomenal hardware store and everyone who works there has always been great.

Its a nice little hardware store with a little bit of everything. The clerk was very nice. Pay them a visit if you're in the neighborhood.

I was having trouble with finding the right battery for a dog collar, and even worse my tire on my bike had a flat. Both things got taken care of with alot of help from the lovely woman behind the counter. She fill my tire for me when I couldn't figure it out. Thanks

Old time Hardware store with old style service (sarcastic, jovial and engaging)... Not for everyone.

The cashier stopped me before I got out the door because he realized I forgot my dollar change on the counter... That honesty is hard to find these days

Jake’s is the place to go, I work in commercial construction and we use this store pretty regularly. Don’t let the smallness fool you, they have a LOT of useful stuff!

Extremely helpful, very knowledgeable staff. Committed to helping solve problems/find solutions, rather than selling you a latest doodad. (For example: they lent me a staple gun overnight for a project, rather than selling me one for $15.)
