Food Lion

This Food Lion location is well maintained, clean and well lit. The produce department is orderly and well stocked with a wide selection including local and organic fruits and vegetables.

The deli is not large but well organized. The staff is friendly.  The prices are fair.There's plenty of parking and carts available.  I've never seen it too crowded.

I'd recommend this Food Lion location to others and I myself shop here often when I'm in Jacksonville.

Moved to the area. For a smaller store, was very surprised they carried a few "specialized" items that I did not think I would find in the area. Prices are not that bad and for the extra cents definitely worth the customer service & assortment offered.

Buying Thanksgiving dinner. To cook with my two granddaughters ,Everything turned out pretty good even though I haven't cooked in over 7years. Love you Keyiana and Thailysha my beautiful babys ,they are grown. My Babycakes.My precious great grand baby Zaire.Their mom had to work on Thanksgiving driving the city bus until 8.30pm.then she came over and help out don't forget my grandson binks helped too. Love you all.

We're new to the area and placed our first order with this Food Lion location. My wife returned from picking up the order saying she had first traveled to the wrong location, but that the correct location not only called her, but assisted her with directions to the correct location. She also said there were two employees who came out with our order and that both were so pleasant she will be returning as a customer from now on. We both thank you for going above and beyond. Our order was prepared well in advance of the pickup time. Employees were courteous, professional and my wife was very pleased with the interaction. It has been a while since we have received customer service at such a high standard, but according to the reviews this is a norm for this store. Kudos to management for your training program. Your employees are a reflection of leadership and they represented you well today. Job well done!

Always has good deals and fresh fruits and vegetables

Gotta say that I'm new here to NC. Found your store,by chance, just driving around the new neighborhood!! Staff was great!!!👍 Particularly the girl who checked me out!!! Her name was ***Amanda*** and SHE was INCREDIBLY helpful, sweet and professional!!!🙌 Got a price check herself for me, tag was an old discounted price - no longer available, yet she still gave me the item at the discounted price!!!🙌 Also hooked ME up with getting registered for their discount card/MVP shopper discount. PLUS gave me the discounts FOR my items with a "dummy" key pass!!😍 I'd HAD one in Florida but they'd (Food Lions) ALL closed down, years ago! So, Amanda WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND ANY staff I've ever encountered before!!🙌 On EVERY level!!!👍 I truly HOPE that either at least this store SEES this!!🤞🤞 AND maybe even FORWARDS THIS TO corporate as well!!👍 Y'all have a great, stellar employee and I truly hope you realize THAT and reward Amanda!!👌 Definitely DON'T lose her!!! It'd be a detriment TO your store!!! She's rare indeed!!!🙌 Even gave me a big warm "Welcome to North Carolina" as I was walking out!!!👍😁❤👌 PLEASE commend her and thank her from ME again!!🙌 BEST check out experience I've ever had!! This bustling store was being stocked throughout the evening as I was shopping and I still received personal sincere assistance. I can find every item on my International list or produce. Employees are knowledgeable of their store and inventory. I found the store easy to navigate and clean.
Was pleased with my Deli roast beef & Cheese's.

Fool Lion Grocery stores have a good reputation for being clean, neat stores with really fresh produce. Much better grocery stores than the big box stores with groceries. Best part is the money stays in our state, Food Lion is based out of Salisbury, NC!

Love the new food lion, I get in and out. Love the self check out. Makes life so much easier

I ran into my Branchwood Food Lion in Jacksonville this morning to pick up some cupcakes for my 4 year old daughter’s Christmas party. I found a really cute tray of cookies and cupcakes with Santa rings on them, but only 6 of the cupcakes had rings. I knew each of the 12 children in her class would want a cupcake with a Santa ring, so I looked for another tray of Santa cupcakes to add. There weren’t anymore. I went to the bakery and the girl decorating cakes asked if she could help me. I told her my dilemma and she quickly checked for more already made. When she found there weren’t any more, she quickly changed some out for me and made sure there were enough Santa rings for each child. She was so nice and went well above and beyond. I was in and out of Food Lion in 15 minutes with 2 trays of cupcakes and cookies, for some very excited preschoolers! Thank you Branchwood Food Lion and the sweet girl working in the bakery today!!!!

In and out as always! 75% off Christmas animals... GREAT!!!!!

What a change since competition moved in. They have really clean up (literally) their act. They have remodeled some areas inside the store. The clerks now actually greet you, speak nicely and try to help...great customer service!
It is a an excellent place to find staple items. There is hardly ever a long wait for check out when I have gone. It's quickly go in and out.

The store is always clean and well organized .. The prices are great and they carry just about everything you would want in a grocery store .. The meats are always fresh and there Deli is always spotless .. Food Lion is for sure my grocery store 🤘😎

Well there's not too much to say, as this is a grocery store except they had eggnog when no one else had eggnog so I will give them that :-). Why do so many grocery stores stop carrying eggnog before Christmas?

I've always liked this FL compared to the other in my city. But I've noticed a young woman named SERITA...a real people person. Always smiling and pleasant. HOLD ON TO HER!!!!

It was the first Food Lion on Gum Branch rd. in Jacksonville, NC . They are wonderful people working there. They are fast , courteous, and will help you find anything. They go out of the way for their customers. I love this Food Lion .
