Stopped in due to hearing great things. Did not disappoint! So many selections of spices and custom spice mixes as well as unique hot suaces/honeys/jams/teas, etc. I left with a bag full of good stuff. They offer multiple sizes of each variety of spices from small sample batches to large bags if there is a particular mix you like. Great people and service too. Thanks Ruben!

I've been a huge fan of this store for years now, and am so delighted with the new location which is easier to reach and therefore easier for me to spend money. They've had every unique spice I've ever looked for, the one time I called and they didn't have the spice I was looking for bagged on the shelf (fenugreek leaves I think) they made some up specially for me. The owner's are knowledgeable and friendly, the spices are excellent. I also recommend the spice blends and their teas.

Even if you don't consider yourself a particularly spicy person, Spice Works will have SOMETHING to interest you, hot chocolate, hot sauce, various exotic and unique snacks. I highly recommend you check them out.

absolutely love bloomington spice works! you can smell the aroma of spices from down the street. the inside is very neatly and aesthetically organized with specialty spices, seasonings, teas, coffees, sauces, snacks, drinks + more. the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful; it’s a good atmosphere inside, with affordable items despite the very high quality. very grateful a place like this exists here! my matcha cake turned out beautifully; i got the cheaper version and it tastes very smooth and expensive haha. the teas are like a warm hug of excellent flavor.

Can't say enough good things about this place! Amazing selection and always so helpful, willing to answer questions and give tips/ideas. Love a trip to BSW!

I've been wanting to stop in for awhile, I don't live in town anymore and always seem to be here on the days/times they're closed, lol.

I finally made it in today, and the store is absolutely awesome. The tea selection - which is what I primarily came for - is vast and well curated. Ruben suggested a Pu'erh I wouldn't have picked up otherwise that's incredible.

The spice selection in general was jaw dropping. I've never seen Ceylon Cinnamon sticks that large or fragrant through a mylar.

I'll absolutely be back when I can. I need to bring a couple hundred dollars next time 😅

BSW's Jamaican Jerk is outstanding! The best I've had. Sugar & Spice BBQ, Pizza Shakin's, Redbird Rub, Founders Blend, and taco seasoning are my favs, but I appreciate all their spices because they are personally selected by the owner, and ground on-site. If you are still paying $5 for a little glass jar of paprika from the grocery store, give yourself a treat and awaken your senses to fresh spices that are less expensive than the store in many cases!

Great place and good prices on high quality herbs and spices! The spices are fresh and of great quality. Throw out the garbage from the grocery store and come shop for spices here. The smoked blacked pepper, Summer Savory and Tandoori spices are amazing. Made some grilled chicken this weekend after going there and I WILL BE BACK! These guys are my new go-to for spices. Its 2 hours away for me, but so worth the drive. Thank you guys for making the experience great!

Incredible selection of spices and hard to find ingredients. They even have blends and individual spices with no salt, which is great for anyone trying to eat heart healthy. I come up with so many meal ideas based on what I buy here. I used their proprietary Ras El Hanoul blend in a wild rice dish and it was spectacular. Love coming here and cooking at home with their spices.

Great selection of spices you would never think to find in the Blo-NO area and the customer service is out of this world. I will definitely be back!! Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

Hidden gem over here! (At least for me lol). I found so many amazing spices and international ingredients at this place.

Really incredible spices, huge variety, and the workers were very kind! We accidentally came in right before close and they let us browse, they didn’t rush us at all or mention it, we only noticed after we left. They had a very cool assortment and I’m excited to try all of the stuff we got. :)

The variety in this store is insane!! Very knowledgable and kind staff. We had to return an item due to faulty packaging, but they were extremely understanding. Would definitely recommend!

Ruben is very helpful and knowledge. The assortment of spices is incredible. Every time I go I leave trying something new and amazing.

This a wonderful shop for tea and spices. I purchase 3 teas, including Peppermint Patty, which is blended in-store. The owner listened to what I like, and helped me select my teas accordingly. The Peppermint Patty is very smooth, with a hint of chocolate. I will definitely go back for more!

Great selection of spices, teas, honey, hot sauces and much more. I enjoyed just browsing through everything with my Wife. So many unusual items I've never seen. If recipe calls for something unusual, this is the place. Black Lemons, who knew? Somewhat obscure location on Center Street but easy to find.

Love their selection of creative spice combinations! They come in small, medium, and large sizes which are perfect for trying something new before you commit, and they also make great gifts. If you’re looking for something to level up your own cooking or for a gift to give the cook that has everything, you’ll find awesome ingredients like blue cheese stuffed olives, bacon jam and top quality vinegars and oils, too. The owner clearly loves what they do, and I’m so thankful this business was able to find a bigger space in downtown Bloomington so they can expand their inventory.

We've been wanting to stop in here for ages. It's amazing! So many options...if you can't find it here, it might not exist. The staff was sp friendly & helpful, without being fake or sales-y. We'll be back.

I LOVE this place! Great quality, customer service, and selection. And the prices are very reasonable.
