Steak 'n Shake

My burger was cooked just as I requested... like the way steak burgers used to be made... pressed flat, crispy edges, cheese melted... because it was left on the grill a bit longer.. most importantly--they honored my most special request -- no seasoning salt.

Cheap eats, takes a bit to get your food because everything is cooked fresh to order but well worth the wait. This trip they were very busy and there was a bit of confusion with my order. I didn't get my fries but I had a large onion rings to take care of my hunger. Unfortunately the last chicken tender I ate had a bone in it.. Not exactly sure how it got past the quality control at the factory but it did. Luckily I didn't choke on it, that may have been a tragedy for myself and steak n shake.

Love the food!! Fast and affordable! Can take the whole family and everyone can get what they want, with no high priced bill! Always a good experience!

Ordered takeout so I did not rate atmosphere. The order was incorrect and caught before giving it to me by the manager. He advised that it would be a longer wait to prepare a new order. He provided me a large milkshake of my choice for the inconvenience which was appreciated! Food was fresh and delicious as always.

Had a triple last night and the burger was cooked great. The tomato and lettuce was a little shy.The Nutella shake was tasty, but it was a little short. I didn't get the fries because they are usually cold. The staff was very friendly.

Had supper here this evening. Clean restaurant, we were promptly greeted and seated. Our waiter was wonderful, attentive, prompt, and our food and drinks arrived fairly quickly. Food was good. Glad to see there is still a good Steak n Shake around!

Fast service at the drive thru. Articulate person that took my order plus very polite. They have deleted mustard, lettuce, tomato and mayo from their #10 $3.99 meal this plus the fact that you can not dine in anymore is disappointing. I will continue with the drive thru for now but sooner or later I will find another restaurant that serves food the way I like it.

Steak ‘n Shake is, with some exception for geographical access, dang near a national institution. I visited on a wayward Monday morning with my girlfriend and her father. We were promptly and courteously greeted, shown to a table and had drinks delivered while reviewing the menu (coffee & water x3). The open kitchen offered transparency to the cooking process and our food was went from kitchen to table within a few minutes. The restaurant was clean, the food was simple but solid and the service was consistent, friendly and expedient. High fives all around.

I called in for carryout and my food was just being finished when I got there! Burger came out nice and hot but the fries were a little cold. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, I'll definitely be back to this steak n shake.

Just went through this steak and shake to grab some lunch which by the way is always great. I noticed a Vietnam veteran's plate on the vehicle in front of me, when I place my order I let them know that I would like to pay for their meal, they said no problem take care of it at the window. I got to the window paid for the other persons meal, And then went to pay for mine and they said no charge because I had done a good deed for someone else they wanted to do the same for me. I've never had a bad experience here and I can't imagine that I ever would. Thank you!

Great milkshakes. We both had one of the $4 /4 item meals. Bacon cheese burger with the straw like fries, applesauce and a cookie. Good idea for someone who is not a big eater. Of course the price was great.

Great onion rings! Also, you can drive-thru & get a bag of ice! It's like $1. The employees are always friendly here. Prices are good. Clean restaurant. Bathroom is small, but clean.

Steak and Shake is a huge bang for your buck. Its delicious and unhealthy in all the best ways. Unique burgers, thick shakes, and it's open late. I pulled up late at night with a hole in my stomach, but I left full and satisfied. My dwindling faith in fast food has been rekindled. God bless America.

Really great food at great prices fast service and very polite

It's great, I can go there and get lunch at 10:30pm to go work with. Their food is good, hot and fills me up. The prices are really reasonable. The drive thru folks are really kind. I recommend it to everyone.

The shakes were delicious! The birthday cake shake was everything I've ever wanted. They even split it in half for us since we were sharing, and we both got our own whipped cream and cherry on top! I ordered the mushroom swiss steakburger and my boyfriend got the buffalo ranch one. He seemed pleased with his choice and mine was delightfully crispy and the mushrooms were nice and meaty. I liked how mine got creamier as I got closer to the center. It was my first steak and shake experience and I definitely have to go back someday!

Went through the drive thru as done in is still closed for covid. My single with cheese was good and the fries were hot and crispy. This location was not very busy on a Saturday when we went.

I could not get the app to work so I went through the drive through. Service there was quick and friendly. The food was great as always.

Drive through can take a little bit of time, but it's usually worth it. Multiple meals are just $4
