Better Basket

I am new to Wilmington, NC and made a stop at Better Basket my first week here in early November ... I have been eating and find nourishment in their food especially the amazing soups! The staff is welcoming and always has a pleasant greeting for their customers!!! Thank You Joy / Laura / Logan / Hayward!

I’m in town for a weightlifting competition. I stopped in here looking for a gluten free sandwich and the owner was so friendly and helpful! I was able to get a GF sandwich and some snacks for my competition. She was even making protein snack boxes once she found out the competition was happening nearby!

Better Basket is one of Historic Wilmington's gems! Hands down worthy of 10 stars. This market in the heart of downtown is a welcome gem. There have been some “growing pains” through 2022/2023 as the market finds its footing downtown but they seem to have hit their stride. Delicious fresh-made sandwiches and salads. Delicious pasta, chicken and tuna salad. In addition, plenty of fresh produce and homemade bread, cinnamon rolls, cookies and other treats. Grateful to have them in the neighborhood and looking forward to seeing them improve even more and thrive.

Great place! Lots of pre-made sandwiches and salads ready to grab and go. Large drink selection and other items too! Everything was labeled with allergens too which was great to see!

I have been coming to better basket for the grab and go wraps for a while now which have always been AMAZING. Today i tried the BBQ chicken and macaroni bowl and it was FANTASTIC! staff is always very nice and warm. Would definitely recommend!!

We loved visiting this market on our family trip to Wilmington. The staff were so friendly and kind to my family. They welcomed our kids to eat and enjoy the music. The prices were great, quality amazing and it was such a homey atmosphere while traveling.

They have great soups here plus a while variety of shopping grocery needs. This is a local place so if you’re local Shop local very cool store.

Absolutely love this place and staff, I come in probably about 3 times a week with my dogs. Super pet friendly , healthy ready to eat food as well as super nice staff& management

I loved everything about this place. They had everything I needed! I totally recommend this place! It is really amazing and the food/things were great!

Joy (the president) has done a phenomenal job with Better Basket and the food is amazing. She prepares much of it and has really provided a super atmospheric feeling in the store and friendliness with customers The coffee was sumptuous. Miss Laura, the sales associate has a million dollar personality and was so-o-o sweet!

Wonderful experience!! Extremely friendly staff and fresh produce and food that is well priced. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and the entire store was very clean and maintained. We will definitely visit here every time we come into town.

What a great find a little off the beaten track of Front Street. Selection of healthy foods were both fresh and appetizing. Gluten free selection was another great find with a nice selection.
This deserves a return visit!

Buy milk from a dispenser, or try a single serving cereal with the milk, it just tastes great. Pasta and Provisions products, fresh farm produce, jams, honey, sandwiches, wraps, coffee, a room dedicated to beer, it's all here.

What a GREAT FIND!!! Highly recommend popping in for a quick bite, some Italian seasoning or some good Java. Awesome location and seating area.

Working in downtown Wilmington. This place is an oasis of healthy, eating options surrounded by either very expensive restaurants or crazy dive bars. I really could not recommend this place highly enough. Is it has been a lifesaver for me!

Love the whole experience of Better Basket! Enjoyed my lunch with this atmosphere of nostalgia! Excellent customer service with utmost respect with friendly surroundings! Excellent choice of fluids and foods!
