From the UK, I was in Wilmington on business and stopped by the store (twice) to pick up some US snacks to take back for my kids. A really lovely lady helped me to choose - probably the nicest shop assistant I've ever come across. I wish she could have seen the reaction of the kids to the Takis she recommended - it was hilarious. My eldest daughter literally cried eating them! Their favourites were the Nerd Clusters - thank you so much!!

I live right downtown and it's not that convenient to go to the grocery store for just a few things. Having a DGX downtown makes my life a little easier. This isn't a typical Dollar General, as they have extra items including produce and grab-and-go snacks. It's in a good location. I'm happy for the addition downtown.

Really convenient. Great staff. Store is impeccably clean. I was traveling by boat as a transient and found this store and the staff really awesome.

Great place for grabbing some basics and essentials given the lack of alternatives in town. You can get milk, vegetables and salad, chips and sodas and other basic grocery items at reasonable prices (unlike the gourmet market which charges $3.50 for a thimbleful of milk)

Usually I go for a few things without a problem am appreciate the convenience. However, today an obnoxious (possibly already drunk) man buying beer made an offensive comment to me (out of earshot). The clerk, Jessica, told me what happened and said he wouldn’t be allowed back but I don’t see that happening. I’ll make sure I shop elsewhere.
