Ida Thai Cuisine

We seek this place out each summer we come to Carolina Beach! We were so happy to see they were able to move into a newer building. Such an upgrade! Food quality is just as good as it ever was. My Panang Curry was absolutely delicious and the rest of my group had the Pad Thai and Spicy Basil noodles with glowing reviews all around. The Chicken Satay, Spring Rolls and Crab Rangoons as starters were all on point - gone so fast I didn’t get any pictures! Service was prompt and friendly and we can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend you check this place out.

Enjoyed this new location of a well known Carolina Beach restaurant around the corner from our house. Fresh, delicious food loaded with vegetables and seafood. The soft shell crab was perfectly cooked and fell apart. Accompanied with crisp vegetables in a yellow sauce. The spicy basil seafood was in a brown sauce and full of seafood.
Very busy on a Sunday evening and staff was on point. Will be back on a regular for dine in and takeout. Reasonable prices for large quantities.

First time at the new location for takeout and the customer service is supreme. They were eager to serve, provided us complimentary water as we waited and were attentive to my daughter allergies to nuts and peas. The blue crab fried rice is 10/10 :)

Perfect place for a break from usual beach food.

Love this place. Service always great and food is wonderful. Pad Thai tonight with spring rolls that were hot (temperature) and delicious. Food always fresh and plentiful. Inside restaurant is attractive and airy. Not crowded. Hoping they will open back patio once they are established there.

Clean, beautifully designed, friendly staff, great food. It was a very good meal and I will return soon.

Tasty food, great prices, and lightning fast service! What more could you want from a Thai place by the beach? I got the Panama curry with chicken.

Ordered take out. People on Facebook thread had raved about food. So, food did not disappoint! Large portions, best tasting entrees, side dishes & desert. This has become one of our top five restaurants!
The desert we ordered was in a separate bag and not given to us, so they called us quickly. We were able to get back quickly. Staff was excellent in attitude and service!

Food were great. Been here a few times. But every single time the Tom yum soup was way too salty.

This is the real deal! Friendly family, expansive menu, custom options, real herbs you can see in the sauces, cooked to perfection, and good portion. We both tried dishes we've not seen offered at typical Thai places and both were delish. The couple beside us said the same.

Ordered takeout. Our dinners were ready when they said they’d be. Staff was friendly and quick. The to go containers were packed to the brim. The shrimp and chicken looked pretty good quality. Big veggies. The flavor was great. I ordered the Hawaiian shrimp, chicken and rice meal. Made it medium spice. My husband ordered the Pad See Ew. He said the ingredients were good but he just wanted something with more flavor for next time. Overall very impressed!

Top notch! We hadn’t scoped out what we would eat when we got to the beach and this was a great find. Excellent service, fast and first Thai food we could have in the last 18 months due to pandemic issues with restaurants in our home town. The staple Thai restaurant items were good- Thai iced coffee, pad Thai, satay, chicken panang curry and spring rolls. I also got a glass of wine.

Came in and had their iced coffee and ordered fried rice with "Thai spice" as the degree of spiciness. I enjoyed it, as it was VERY spicy but was still flavorful and cooked with nice vegetables. Their appetizer tray came out with wonderful presentation. Nothing more to say than a good place to eat!

Can't wait to go back! Went there for the first time recently and will definitely be adding Ida Thai to my list of favorite restaurants in the Wilmington area. I got the Spicy Basil Chicken(Pad Kraw Pow) and it was perfection. The flavors were bold throughout the dish and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. Not underdone, not over done, just right. The presentation was colorful and the rice in the shape of a heart was a cute touch.
We went to dine in and they were incredibly busy but we were still seated right away. There were tons of take out orders going out and the phone was constantly ringing with more. But our service was still excellent. The waitstaff and the kitchen did an amazing job!

My wife and I had dinner at Ida Thai a couple of nights ago and the food and service was top notch. My wife got the Pad Thai and I got Massaman Chicken. Both entrees came out quickly and were delicious. I ordered mine with medium spice and that was plenty hot.
We will certainly visit again the next time we are in town.

Really delicious and super fresh! Extremely well priced too- less than $50 for dinner for 2 with huge portions (enough for another meal). An all around amazing spot!

Pineapple Fries Rice was delicious! 10/10 would buy again. Next time however, I'll prob go with 1 or 2 on spice. I got a 3 tonight thanks to my wife...it's HOT. I had to wait for the temp to come down so I didn't get burned by heat and spice 😂 It really is Thai Spicy if you want it that way.

On a positive note, I'm breathing effortlessly though my nose 🥵😂

One of the BEST Thia food I have eaten in years. Fresh shrimp from our local ocean too. And lots on the plate.

Food was plentiful, delicious and ready for pickup when we arrived. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was busy.

The food was Incredible! The waitress we had was super sweet and friendly. My husband and I always get a little nervous going out to eat because we are vegan and a lot of food places can't always accommodate. We started placing our order and as soon as we said "without egg" the waitress said "are you guys vegan?" to which we responded "yes!" She instantly told us she knew exactly what to do with confidence. We were overjoyed someone knew what vegan was and how to make some minor adjustments to the dishes we wanted to accommodate. We both ordered the Thai Spicy Basil with tofu and veggies, and a fried rice with veggies to share. All of the food was fresh and delicious and we ate it with no worries. Our experience with the waitress definitely locked in our loyalty at this place. Whenever we go to the beach we will 100% be back for more amazing food and customer service!
