Mass Street Soda & Sweets

This place is so fun! So much soda and so many selections. They also have candy and chips. I found my favorite gum that is kinda hard to find normally. Very clean and well taken care of.

Great place to get a Soda or nostalgic candies from days gone by. If you're a Root Beer fan good luck there much be over a hundred varieties to choose from.

My kiddo loves to come here and find weird sodas to try. It's always fun and the employees are always happy to help us find the weirdest ones we can.

Cool soda and candy shop that gives you a plethora of unique and hard to find options to choose from. If you're looking for something new and interesting to drink or snack on, this is the place you need to check out.

I've been here with my friends and there definitely is a variety of things to buy! You'd never get bored with all of their soda selections and there's a lot of candy you might've never tried. There's also seats right next to the entrance which is nice if your feet hurt from walking a lot. They have taffy too and a pound (around 60 pieces) goes for $7 and that sounds fair! I've never tried a lot of their flavors of taffy, but I have tried one. I'd come back to try a lot more things here!

This place is gonna become a core memory of my childhood I swear.

First of all, it’s right next to the best icecream shop in Lawrence (which you should also check out by the way) so you are able to pick your treat if your ever around there.

Second of all, there’s so many sodas from all around the country and even outside the country! From the classics like Pepsi and Coke, to more interesting flavors like Chocolate and Peach!

And if that’s not your style, you can also have some energy drinks, diet drinks, and the most absurd flavors possible, if you didn’t find anything of your liking you’d be the first.

And it’s not just sodas in their shop, as it says, there’s a lot of assorted sweets and treats that you can find! I’m personally a big fan of the choose your own taffy area, it brings back memories for me.

Third of all, they have some pretty good deals, like this might not be as big as the others but you can save big money by buying certain milestones of soda, and they come with they’re own little cardboard crates with words on them!

And last but definitely not least is the atmosphere of the area, the wooden floors and shelves with simple painted on labels for flavors give it a cozy vibe, while behind it all you have antique soda artifacts and merchandise for Kansas, giving it a nostalgic vibe.

Another thing that contributes to atmosphere is the people who work their, they’re pretty friendly people and I appreciate them for working their and keeping the place afloat.

As a massive soda fan, Im glad we have this store in Lawrence!

Amazing gem of Mass St in Lawrence where you can find niche brand sodas not sold anywhere else. Also many international options too. Oh and they'll make your soda cold in 2 mins for free, if you want it cold to drink right away.

This is an amazing little soda shop with all the sodas you wish you could get everywhere else. you. I'm a fan of grape soda... Or the memory of grape soda but all the mainstream grape soda taste like cough syrup. I've found quite the selection to barrel through here and was quite impressed.

Nice place to stop during a stroll down Mass Street. Every rare and quirky sodapop you can think of. An awesome selection of odd and vintage candy confections. An awesome rack of Japanese imports if you are looking to impress your friends with weird potato chip flavors.

Fantastic selection, with availability to order those not stocked. $2.75 is pricey for a single soda, and there are discounts by volume, but it's cheaper than a plane ticket.

So I have yet to go to this location in Lawrence but I frequent the sister location in Kansas City, Missouri. From microbrewed soda to giant chain sodas to everything in between, this is a vertible oasis for those who are tired of the same soda you can get everywhere else. Even during this quarantine the Mass Street Soda and its sister location in Kansas City, MO ( KC Soda Company) are doing deliveries to those who get their orders in. I recently got a custom sampler of Japanese and some other sodas that I am looking forward to trying and drinking. I think next time I go to Lawrence I will stop in and say thank you personally to everyone at Mass Street Soda as well as the staff at KC Soda Company!

This shop is awesome! They have the largest soda selection of anywhere around, they have a cute old fashion soda bar where they can chill you sodas in a minute, and they will make you a float with any soda you choose!! They have salt water taffy now too!

Absolutely amazing. Had my favorite soda from back home (ale 8) at the best price i could get it, way cheaper than trying to buy it myself direct from the manufacturer, and a very friendly and helpful staff. If youre in the lawrence area you have to try this place out, its absolutely fantastic place to shop!

Very neat place. Drove 30 minutes to get here. Paid $59 for a 24 pack. There are a ton of different flavor sodas. Large selection of root beer. They offer a quick chilling of your bottle, by spinning it in ice water.

Always friendly, no touching bottles because of covid which is great, and fair priced considering all the fun flavors!

Fave soda pop store (look at all those bottles!!!) They actually have so many flavors of root beer we had to make a spreadsheet and rate them to figure out our favorites!! Maureen is a jewel and we love doing business with her.

If you are still reading this review, try out the 1919 Root beers they are our actual favorite out of 64 root beers we have tried so far. To our knowledge it is the only place in KC carrying it! Frostie vanilla root beer is one of the second place finishers.

Great place to try a bunch of brand of soda you've never heard of. It's been fun to try several different ones back to back. Love stopping in here once a month to grab a six pack. The oddball flavors may surprise you (try Melba's Fixins or a fruit/veggie soda)! They've also got a nice selection of candies and snacks, but they're a bit on the pricier end.

Amazing variety of local, national and foreign sodas and soft drinks. They sometimes have Melon Fanta from Japan, they have all the flavors of Clearly Canadian, etc. They even have novelty sodas with flavors like "bacon" and "sour pickle". If you like soft drinks you'll definitely find something for you!
