Sat outside. Moved 3 times because of rain and a wobbly table. But! Food was delicious 😋. Came here for my parents 35th wedding anniversary. Parents got steaks, one wasn't done enough for her tastes but they were quick to remedy. All the shareables are worth the extra bit. I had the rainbow trout and the seasoning was divine. Would come again hoping for a more relaxing atmosphere (and not the restaurants fault) just the happenstance. Also order desert if you can?

Fantastic night!!! Loved the atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. Beverages were well balanced, and the food was oh so good!!!

Love the decor and ambiance. Nice bar area and plenty of seating. The open kitchen is cool as you can watch then prepare the food. Great service at the table. Had the fish and chips and it was wonderful!

I came in for lunch. I ordered the trout as well as the tomatoes with buratta it was marvelous. My friend had the fish and chips also very tasty. She has enough to take home. We sat on the patio with my pup and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back!! ♡

We had decided to do lunch in Carbondale and came across this restaurant which was quite the place to eat at. Coated on Main Street, it is centrally located that easily attracts onlookers walking by. The interior of the restaurant has a very brick like look giving an urban feeling and the food was delicious. I highly encourage travelers coming through Carbondale to enjoy good food with great customer service within a delightful setting.

Beautiful dining experience, both inside and outside, (with 2 outdoor dining settings to choose from, on the patio by the fireplace or new side-street seating). The menu is well thought out with many options (meatballs, corn, steak, and the steak sandwich are my favorite!). Great selection of drinks with friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is located in the city center of Carbondale. The service was excellent. Though we sat outside they do have offer indoor dining. Very friendly staff and the food selection was very unique. I ordered fresh trout and it was excellent. They do have an interesting choice of drinks.

Had dinner here over the weekend and everything was SO good- far exceeded any expectations.
We started with the Pear and Goat Cheese Salad and Calamari and Shrimp. Both were fantastic. I love how the goat cheese was fried and served warm over the salad, and the calamari had a perfect balance of shrimp. Not to mention the Chipotle Remoulade sauce was perfection. The pears on the salad were also delicious.
Then we got the Cornbread Muffin, Bison Meatballs, and Pork Mac n Cheese. The cornbread was pretty good- not mindblowing but certainly not disappointing. We enjoyed it with the peach reduction from the meatballs, too. That peach reduction was SO good! And while my first tastes of the pork mac started off without a bang, it got better and better with each bite and became a favorite!
Lastly, we went with the recommendation of Maple Butter cake with Cinnamon and Brown Sugar ice cream. Absolutely delicious. While I am sure the apple pie is equally amazing, I wanted to try something different with the cake, and am so glad we did.
All in all, the meal was 11/10! We were still thinking about it the next day. Would absolutely love to return next time I am back in Carbondale. Also, this experience made me feel like so much food in Denver is good, but not amazing.
I want to add the ambience and service was also exceptional!

We could not speak more highly of the Brass Anvil. We stopped in for drinks and dessert and sat at the bar - Jay was our bartender and he was a gem. The cherry cheese cake was phenomenal and all of Jays recommendations were on point.

It was my brother's wedding reception! Most importantly rhe staff was gracious, the food, & drinks were delicious, the ambiance was warm. My new sister in law's troupe did a bang up job of decorating. Truly memorable 💖

Went here for takeout, while I waited I enjoyed a lovely Malbec at their charming bar area. The service was fantastic and the food scrumptious!

Delicious!!! We split the burrata caprese salad and the heirloom tomatoes were so fresh. I had an impossible burger- it’s made with vegan cheese and avocado. My husband has a bison burger - we both loved them! It’s also very cute - we sat on the patio.

Wonderful place! Great service and great food! Patio seating is a fun option if the weather is good.

These guys really did a fantastic job. The cocktails were good, the food was wonderful. I didn’t care too much for the cornbread, was pretty dry, but the steak and everything else was delicious !!! In this area I’m not sure what could be better

Well, I have to say this has been one of the most delicious stakes we ever had. We felt very welcoming by the staff. The server was really helpful and nice. We highly recommend the mashed potatoes, they were extremely tasty. Great experience overall.

Really great food - went for a birthday. I made a note in the reservations we were celebrating. I Was a little disappointed the waiter didn’t provide a candle with dessert, but oh well. Food is still worth it.

I ate here for the first time in summer 2021, again at New Year's, and a third time for my rehearsal dinner, hosted the night before my wedding. I love Brass Anvil — great ambiance and decor, delicious food, and excellent cocktails. We'll come back again and again.

Had an excellent dinner experience! We sat at the bar, which is so beautiful. We sampled different drinks from the bar menu - each one was delicious. So creative that the names of the drinks are all songs! Appetizers were great. Love a good tempura fried pickle. My boyfriend had the sirloin for dinner and I had the rainbow trout. Finally for dessert, we had the flour-less chocolate cake which the espresso martini. Ah-mazing. We will be back soon!
