Basalt Mountain Inn

Took a spontaneous trip to travel, and the Basalt Mountain Inn made me feel like I had stayed in a 5 star resort! Very impressed with their rooms, customer service, and cleanliness.

Would heavily recommend!

Everything about this hotel was a great experience for me and my family, we weren't expecting the rooms to be nice at all, but we were blown away immediately as we walked in. If you're looking for a place to stay in Aspen, I'd suggest reserving a spot here as the town is also beautiful at night!

This hotel is a gem! It's so cute and welcoming. The rooms were much larger than we expected. Ours had two bedrooms, a shared bathroom and a living room/kitchenette. It was very reasonably priced, and is centrally located with easy walking to coffee shops and breakfast/restaurants and shopping. Very charming!

The guy from the front office is really really nice, took care of us while our stay. He showed us different options of rooms and gave us a good price, will definitely come back

What a great place to stay! The room we stayed in was a large suite, recently renovated and clean, and had a nice kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, coffee and Keurig makers. The air conditioning was also new and quiet, and the bed super comfortable. A great location in Downtown Basalt, and convenient short walk to the public transportation to Aspen. We recommend this inn, and will stay here again!

No frills place, very clean, well kept and in great condition. Super friendly. Nice breakfast with waffles, eggs, burritos, cereal, yogurt, fruit, breads, etc. Only 20 minutes from Aspen. Great alternative to save some money.

This is the perfect Mountain getaway! Quaint quiet so cute the rooms. Have a beautiful view of the mountains. The town itself is beautiful. The buildings are amazing. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a nice beautiful and scenic getaway.

They serve a hot breakfast from 7-9 am. I can't remember the lady's name that works in the afternoon but she was super friendly and helpful. It has a view of the mountains. It is located in downtown so lots of access to the neat little local shops. Unfortunately I was here for work and only got to spend one night. I will be visiting for pleasure in the future.

Very cozy property with generously sized rooms. The staff were all completely delightful during every interaction I had with them. For the location and the price, I would say it was perfect!

Been staying here for years now. The service is always excellent. The rooms are clean and fully stocked with everything you need. Make sure you book in advance during the season. The front desk is so helpful and knowledgeable. The location is right in the middle of town, next to the best restaurants.

We loved this stay! Friendly staff. Super clean. Incredible area, in walking distance to the best eating places in the area. Great breakfast. Refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker in the room. Would definitely stay again!

Booking online and checking in were quick and easy. The building itself is a bit older, but it’s updated. You may hear the creaks of people walking above, but it wasn’t loud enough to truly be a bother. Overall, it’s a quiet, cute little inn surrounded by all the shops and restaurants in downtown Basalt that’s got plenty of charm.

Great Value for Great Experience! Quick drive to Aspen for snowboarding without Aspen prices! The room was perfect for my entire family with a queen-size pullout couch. The included hot breakfast made it really easy to get a bite and hit the slopes!

Great quality and location for the price! The rooms are clean and well kept, we especially loved the separate sitting/kitchenette area if one of us wanted to stay up later than the other. The location is within walking distance of great restaurants and shops, and it's a lot more affordable than staying in Aspen. We'll definitely be returning next time we're in the area!

Basalt mountain inn provides some of the best service I’ve ever had for lodging.
They have gone out of their way to help me while dealing with a travel situation in a way that I wouldn’t expect from most hotels/motels.
The room was very clean, the bed was more comfortable that I would have expected from the price point, and the staff is fantastic.
Their location in town gives easy walking access to food, bars, and shopping.

Nice remodeled rooms. Nice service. Came during the busiest time of the year, so that meant trying to park at night was impossible. But as good as it gets, especially for price, for a mountain stay.

The Basalt Mountain Inn is in the best location in Basalt just a 1-3 minute walk away from the best eats, to name a few: Heather's pies, Tempranillo, Mod's Thai! It's a convenient location for catching the bus to Aspen town and each of it's resorts. I walked a few minutes to the bus stop and rode the L to town, Highlands, and Snowmass! Basalt is a quick drive up valley to Aspen and down valley for the best of all worlds. The rooms are comfortable and can accommodate a group for ski, fishing, hike trips. Staff are friendly and the included breakfast is a nice compliment. Would stay again!

The staff was super friendly and accommodating to my late check-in and late check-out. The room was very cute and clean, nice shower. The pictures would make you think they were on the side of the road, but they’re actually in a cute little neighborhood with lots of shoppes around. Great stay!
