Elm Candle Bar

Last weekend, my girlfriends and I visited Elm Candle Bar for a unique DIY scent experience, and it was nothing short of amazing. This place offers a delightful opportunity to craft your own candles, diffusers, room sprays, or wax tarts, allowing for a personalized touch to your creations.

The process is incredibly engaging and fun. You start by selecting your favorite scents from an extensive variety displayed on the wall. With a clipboard in hand, you jot down your picks and then zero in on your top three choices. The real magic begins when you mix these scents to your liking, crafting a scent that’s uniquely yours. If you're unsure about combinations, the staff is exceptionally skilled in recommending harmonious scent pairings.

While there is a bit of a wait for the wax tarts and candles (around 2 and a half hours), you can leave immediately with your custom-made room sprays and diffusers. This flexibility was much appreciated by our group.

The ambiance of Elm Candle Bar adds to the experience. The place is clean, welcoming, and stylishly laid out with a plethora of choices that inspire creativity. What made our visit exceptionally memorable was the staff. They were not just knowledgeable about scent combinations but also exuded a friendly, attentive, and accommodating demeanor. Mikey, in particular, provided excellent guidance on scent combos, enhancing our experience.

One of the most surprising aspects of this experience was learning how mixing scents can reflect personal tastes and preferences. It was a journey of self-discovery and bonding, as each of us learned more about ourselves and each other.

I wholeheartedly recommend making an appointment at Elm Candle Bar. It's a perfect way to take a break from the hustle and bustle and indulge in a relaxing, creative, and joyful activity. Whether you’re looking for a unique gift or a fun outing with friends, this place is a must-visit.

Fantastic date with my partner to make these great candles. I was worried that I would end up with a candle that didn’t smell good but with the help of the team there we both walked out with candles we love. Have to wait two weeks to burn but smelling them every night as they settle has been equally as fun! Great date and a really cool result.

We had a total of 8 ladies here and we all had a blast!! The instructions were super clear, and everyone helping was so wonderful! All the ladies loved it and want to come back to make another one! Thank you for making this such a memorable experience!

Really enjoyed this place! The people were so nice and knowledgeable, the amount of scents and what you can choose from was great. Little pricey, but the quality and experience makes up for that!

Amazing experience with a group of friends on Saturday afternoon. Around $50 for a 1.5 hour experience. The employees are really helpful with helping you curate your scent, each step is fun (especially as a group) and there are SO many unique scents. There were 4 of us and we each had a totally different scent and they were all fun.

Also, smell the bread candle, it's totally insane. You can smell the crust!

Great place to go for a date night. A little pricey but you pay for both the experience of making the candles and the candle itself. We loved it. I have used the candle I made quite a few times since we went and it smells amazing, and is a really well made candle. We are going to go to their Point Ruston location for our 1st anniversary next month, very excited!

Elm Candle Bar is an experience. I had walked by dozens of times, but never had an excuse to go in or to treat myself. My date and I had a wonderful time. There was a great selection of scents to choose from, in terms of creating your own blend, and the staff was super helpful and fun through the process. We chose diffusers so we could walk out with our creation same day, but you can also make candles or wax cubes if you have the time to pick up later in the day or the next day. They have light refreshments for while your at the candle bar, which was nice. This is a great spot to kick off a romantic date night.

What a fun experience! For about $50/each you get to make your own candle. They have 80 scents to pick from, help you match your top 3 into a scent you’ll love, and then you get to pour & mix your own candle!
The candles take about 2 hours to set after you’re done, and the store is perfectly located by amazing restaurants. After we made our candle we grabbed lunch and some ice cream & then came back for our candles. Such a great experience, and the staff were so fun and helpful!

We had an amazing and super fun birthday date here. The scents were all so lovely, the space itself is beautiful, and the experience is really fun, educational, and unique. But the icing on the cake was Daia (or Deia, can't remember the spelling.) They were phenomenal and gave us so much help understanding how to build beautiful candles. But Daia also gave us so much good space and artistic liberties. Perfect balance of help and space to have the most fun.

Arranged for the organization I work for to go there as the start of a day retreat. We have a very high rate of diversity and really needed something to help bond us without too much pressure. I thought Elm Candle Bar would be fun for our team who needed a break, but everyone being able to choose their own scents and mix and match them produced something no consultant could ever attempt- cultural safety.

Individuality came through so strong in this place and it was what we needed as a team. I highly recommend this as a place for professionals to book and don’t place a limit on what your team can create, you won’t regret it.

I had fun getting to explore the different candle scents before choosing a few I liked for my candle. The associate then will make a suggestion to help balance your scent and let you smell before committing. Then you get to mix the oils yourself and pour into the soy wax base. Stir for a couple minutes and then leave for a couple hours to cure.
This would make a great date night or friend outing. As you have to wait a couple hours to pick up your candle, it gives you time to go for drinks or a bite to eat nearby while you wait!
I highly recommend doing this and the associates were friendly and a great help through the process!

Decided to take my gf out for a date and reserved for two; BEST date idea!
Make your own candle or wax, a genuine "one-of-a kind" scent!
The layout was amazing, love how many choices that were offered.
I also love the process/experience that took place; first you get a clipboard and write down your favorite scents from the ones offered on the wall, then circle your top 3 and then sit down and begin to create!
The staff was knowledgeable in scent combination as well (very helpful).

Wonderful and fun experience! The staff was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating. They were very helpful with picking the best mixture for our candles. Highly recommend this experience for friends, as a date, etc!

Had an amazing experience creating some wonderful scented products! I would recommend coming here for a date night or a small group of friends to create some great products. The atmosphere is also quite bright, welcoming and modern!

We had the best time, Deia was serving us today and they were so kind and personable we had the best time and I feel like we learned so much. I am so excited to go back and make another candle with Deia and I will be bringing more friends! I am over the moon with how my candle turned out and can’t wait to enjoy it at home!

Sister made surprise appointment for us and it was a blast. The place was clean, inviting and cool in the summer heat. The whole team made the experience fun and relaxing as we picked our unique scents by having fun banter and being patient. Mikey gave great guidance for scent combos and Ashley gave great take home tips and exciting news that has us wanting to come back with friend and family.

Absolutely incredible experience here. Deia and Mckenzie made my experience better than I would've ever expected. My friend and I also got the chance to talk with Mikey and Bailey as well, the employees are so incredibly kindhearted and genuine.

This place is amazing!! Not only was it such a cool experience, but they let me pick them up early!!

My sister and I created our candles on Friday - it was so fun to choose scents and the staff was amazing at helping us!!

We came back to pick up our candles on Monday and we were a little early (before they opened!!) We got their opening time wrong (Monday is at 3 instead of noon!) But the staff was there was SO KIND AND PATIENT and let us pick up our candles!!

We will be back with our family and friends!!

Outstanding service, even better candles. To give an anecdote of how they went above and beyond, I went in wanting a candle that reminded me of a "cabin in the forest" scent. When asked what I should name the candle, I drew a blank and said I would come back with a clever name when I picked up the candle a few hours later.
