One of my go to bars. Ambience is fun and interesting. It isn’t too loud or too quiet. Great place to hangout with friends. Cocktails are interesting, and definitely strong lol

The interior transports you straight to a tropical paradise with its authentic decor. The bartenders here are not just friendly but also skilled mixologists, crafting some of the best tiki cocktails I've had. 🌴🍹👍🏼

Great cocktails - strong, tropical theme. Most of them are rum based. Sadly they don't have food for order. Ordered southern passage and daywalker. Southern passage comes with candy. The ambience is dark with the theme of a pirate ship.

Pagan Idol lived up to the hype! Amazing drinks, and I have to say... Darren and Eugene (bartenders) were great. Super shout out to Darren for making amazing drinks for us and being such an entertaining guy. Banana Be is a definite recommendation for a drink! Quarantine Order was our other drink...Definitely was a bit of a smack in the face, so if you want a strong drink, go for it!

Amazing tiki bar with delicious drinks and a fantastic atmosphere! When you enter, make sure to walk all the way to the back before heading to the bar. Southern Passage, Daywalker, and Quarantine Order were all great, but the Scorpion bowl was to die for!! Spencer, our bartender, was very friendly and clearly knew his stuff. Highly recommend for anyone in search of a great tiki bar in SF!

This was a night out with colleagues. It's really loud and dark so give your eyes time to adjust. It's kind of more like an attraction you go see. it's pretty cool inside but not somewhere that I'd go again.

I loved the setting here. Definitely a great place to come with a group but you can also come here for a date because the setting allows room for everyone to have fun. There is also a good amount of room to dance. The drinks were pretty good but a little to sweet for me.

Very nice bartenders. Inside is small but big on detail. Great drinks, had the Secret Maybe and the secret is that it taste so good. Bring a friend and enjoy the atmosphere. Can't wait to try more drinks!

I love how the decor here is so over-the-top. It’s such a nice contrast to most of the bars in the city that are minimalistic. It gets pretty loud and you kind of have to yell to talk to people. There’s a volcano noise and fake smoke that runs about every twenty minutes. The drinks are really good, I had the daywalker and the magic grog. I don’t want to know how many calories are in each drink, it’s probably a ridiculous amount. But it’s definitely a fun bar and a nice change from the norm.

We came here while exploring tiki bars all across the city. This location is huge but has different vibes for different rooms which is really good to have. They have a fake volcano that blows some smoke and makes some noise every once in a while which is really cool. Their tiki drinks are really good, and they have their own unique recipes for each, but not too far off from the original recipes. Definitely worth a visit.

About as Tiki as it gets in here. Bartenders know their stuff and were happy to talk shop and recommend some rums. Excellent cocktails on the menu that aren't overly sweet like other tiki spots.

Loved the drinks and the staff. The koi pond/reef was very cool. There are two small private sitting areas in the back. Get there early at opening. The back area opens an hour later. Fun place. A must for tiki people.

Absolutely gorgeous tiki bar. The inside decor is fantastic - hand blown glass octopus lamps, tons of woodwork, exotic fishtanks, stained glass, starry sky ceilings and tiki bamboo. The drinks are pricy but are also very strong, so watch yourself. This place can get crowded- for good reasons.

Been wanting to check this place out for ages and finally got to go. Huge aquariums and it looks like the inside of a ship. Very pretty decor. Huge menu blended drink lots of tables. Really friendly bartenders beautiful glassware and garnishes. Loved it.

I went here for cocktails after leaving Urban Putt on my birthday, along with my husband and a few close friends. It was on a Tuesday so it was pretty dead but that was to be expected. The venue is absolutely GORGEOUS. I'm a huge tiki fan and love finding little tiki bars to visit and collect mugs. This was one of the nicest ones I've been to. Amazing service and ambience, and though the drinks are quite pricey they were delicious so I didnt mind too much. Even left with a souvenir mug and a pin :) I will definitely be going back again, probably on a weekend though to see what the vibe would be like with more people. 10/10 recommend

A pretty solid and interesting tiki bar in the middle of soma. Generally the crowd seems to be teams after a days of work. The decor is fairly eye catching, and there’s great vibes.

The bar also isn’t too loud which makes it a great place to talk with someone. The drinks seem to be fairly priced, and are both aesthetic + sweet as you’d expect from a tiki bar.

Awesome ambience, great tiki drinks and decent prices (for SF). Plus, on Friday nights, some really good live music as well.

Put on your Hawaiian shirt, grab a drink in a zombie mug and enjoy a fun night out with great ambience. Tiki is total cultural appropriation, but cultural appropriation never tasted so good or provided such enjoyment as you find at Pagan Idol.
