The Jersey Shore barmaid with the incandescent opal blue eyes is the best, and the regulars around the circular bar made a this stranger feel welcome. And the jukebox is superb. And the drinks are strong and cheap. This place is a gem.

Great dive bar with great crowds. Angie’s is lovely to us and her Mai Tai is the best! Be careful of the Scorpion bowl, it is waaaaaaaay too good.

Best chi chi in the city. Will travel far to have one. Really welcoming daytime bartender. This place came way before all the others probably the oldest and first Tiki bar. Always a great spot to bring someone or just by yourself.

Love this place more than a Forrest Gump loves a Jenny. Not a local, but feel like a local every 6 months or more, when we stop in to visit. Tiki/local watering hole/dive bar. No fuss, wait your turn, we're all in this together type of community...Angie is one of the most welcoming, and outgoing tenders of fine liquors this side of Neptune. Trust your inner child when picking a cocktail off the non-descriptive menu...or order the Banana Cow, it's the bees knees

No fancy decor but a friendly bartender and good drinks! There are no explanations on the menu but the bartender will assist in choosing.

Came here in the middle of the day while on vacation last fall because we love tiki bars. We spent a couple of hours with Angie and some regulars, everyone was very friendly and Angie made great recommendations and some tasty drinks.

Truly fun local dive bar with a bunch of tiki elements and a strong drinks menu served up with flair and panache. The cocktails are enormous and powerful, as befits a tiki bar. Also great mix of drinkers here and thankfully this place has not become douchefied like so many other S.F. institutions

Oh man. This place. Strong fruity drinks (go for the zombie if you want to get inebrieted quickly...like I did) and the bartenders are super cool. The tiki atmosphere is also really fun. I will be back!

Honestly the best bar in the city. It's a magical experience and you have to go. Remember to bring cash!

Great dive bar with Tiki theme. One to Two bartenders at a time, so can be a bit of a wait for drinks. Order something fun off their menu, or get a classic cocktail or beer.

Heads up, some of their blended drinks have vanilla ice cream, so if you're not into the boozy milkshake scene, make sure you tell them no ice cream!

Absolutely an amazing place! Inexpensive and tasty drinks. Great place to hangout!

*6/2018: Just a note: on my visit this time round, there is no toilet seat on the women's toilet. There's a sign on the door - they KNOW there's no seat.
It's pretty wicked to take a pee. Just thought I'd warn the ladies out there.
Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

A legit, old-school dive Tiki bar. The drinks are so cheap - a Zombie is $8! Usually they're $15+. And these are cocktails with a Punch - love it! The cocktails may not have quite all little flourishes of a pricier place - but I'll take Trad'r Sam's rough vibe any time.

Love the decor - it reminds me of being in my auntie's basement, where they have an old bar. I feel like I'm hiding out sneaking a drink at a family party and I love that!

This is a San Francisco institution and favorite of locals! It is cash only and a bit dive-y. The tiki drinks are strong and delicious, and the bartender is incredibly friendly.

This awesome Tiki bar is just weird enough and the scorpion bowls are fun! It is a place that makes a lot of different people feel welcome. The people who frequent it range from normal by SF standards to oddly unique in their own right (cool people who don't know they're cool).

This place has always been fun to go to. The drinks are stiff, affordable, but super good. They only accept cash, which can be a bummer, but worth it. The crowd is younger at night. Before 6pm they're older people that most likely live in the neighborhood. Sometimes the older folks, get upset if you play music from today and give you evil stares, but just ignore them. Other than that, it's a fun place

Wonderful local divey spot with tasty island drinks at affordable prices. Service is great and there is lots of space to sit at the bar as well as quirky booths for larger groups.
