Was travelling through for the day on a cruise ship And we headed to market. I’ve been looking for a quality leather belt like these for year’s and I was so glad to find this shop. The quality and style of my belt are amazing and the young guy who made it was really nice, laid back and welcoming. I’m so happy to have it for years to come. Would definitely recommend And I’ll be back if at m we visit Seattle again!!!

Marakesh makes phenomenal products that are remarkably reasonably priced given their solid durability. I've been shopping here for over 15 years, and the shortest amount of time one of their belts lasted was five years of daily wear through marked weight change.

I left a previous, now retracted, review due to a belt issue. The customer service is above and beyond. I have since received the replacement belt with the correct leather and it is phenomenal in quality and color.

I've owned one of their leather money clips for many years now. It still holds up today as if it were brand new. I even purchased another for a friend for xmas this year along with a belt for myself and a leather coin purse for my girlfriend. Everything has exceeded expectation and is of incredible quality. They even take care to wrap their products in a very personal way before shipping them out. Plus their customer service is beyond fantastic.

Purchased two belts here today. Lots of selection and styles/belt widths as well as buckles,etc for your belt. They custom make the belt for you as you wait, and make sure it fits properly.

We had a belt custom fit for my husband and the craftsman ship is excellent as is the gentleman helping us. Very nice man who helped a lady while we waited and did so for no charge.

Overhead some one talking about getting a new custom belt, and he even pulled it from his loops to show his friends. Didn't catch the name but knew it was in the Public Market, so I Googled and found this place.

Google wasn't exactly helpful with directions. Finally found the shop thanks to the attendant in the info booth. Told this story to the leather shop worker and she confirmed that Google doesn't even know the correct location of the famous fish market.

If you want some leather goods, make your way to the Public Market, and when you find the fish market at the corner of Pike Pl & Pike St, walk into the market and past the right side of the fish market, then Marakesh Leather will be right there on the left.

The only place in Seattle to buy a belt! Custom made while you wait. Great leather quality and the belts last forever!

The woman who assisted me was very polite and helpful, and the belt I purchased is beautiful and perfectly sized. I work in a damp environment and the high quality leather really holds up. I purchased my belt months ago and it still looks new! Marakesh Leather has made a return customer out of me for sure!

I thankfully stumbled upon Marakesh Leather on vacation one year in Seattle and bought two belts. As time went on I wanted another belt and thankfully found them online. Fast forward to 4 years later and not only do I have those belts but each time i need them resized or fixed the fine folks at Marakesh Leather fix them and send them right back. They have also taken the extended time when I needed to make additional changes to my belt due to needing it smaller and made sure each and every time to get it right. There's no better place to buy a belt online or in person in my opinion. Their craftsmanship is incredible and when you combine that with their outstanding customer service there's nobody better at this. I took a quick trip to Seattle to see the sights and forgot to bring a belt! Lol luckily I came across this gem while looking around and checking out the market for the first time. The lovely woman behind the counter not only set me up with a belt but gave me some great advise about restaurants, bars, and sights to see while in town.

7 years ago I bought a 1.5 inch wide belt.......still like new. Just purchased 2 more colors. I live on the east coast. NONE BETTER!

I worked right next to this stand for a summer job when I was fifteen years old. I bought a belt and a buckle. I was told to roll my belt up every day. I am still wearing that belt and buckle, and I am twenty eight years old. 13 years of rough wear, and the belt is still going strong, and I will never buy a new one anywhere other than this shop!!!

The level of communication and customer service when I placed an online order was beyond what I have come to expect as an online customer. I definitely continue to be a customer and visit their real physical location as well. It was a fresh experience not to deal with a robot.

Got my dad, who's Colville Indian living in Texas, a gorgeous totem belt. Ordered it last minute maybe 5 days before Christmas and it arrived right on time in neat packaging with a matching keychain. He absolutely loves it! Says it makes him think of Home. He shows it off to everyone. Visited family in Omak recently and everyone ooh'ed and ahh'ed and marveled at how I got such a Native/PacNW thing all the way in Texas. That it was from a shop in Pike's Place was just icing on the proud Washington Native's cake. Huge hit, that belt. That Marakesh Leather has a store front made me feel safe in ordering from them, too. These guys rock. 100% recommend them to anyone searching for awesome leather goods.
