They will always point you in the right direction and most likely have just what you need.

For a small footprint space the store always seems to have what I need. They've been innovative in suggesting solutions to repair problems.

Super knowledge about plumbing needs. Very fast service once your turn comes up (if there's a line).

I laid out pieces I was trying to connect together and he immediately identify the missing pieces and had them available in the store.

I called other hardware stores and explained what I needed -- none seemed confident they could help so my confidence was low.

Nob Hill Hardware far exceeded my expectations.

The store is stocked on shelves as high as the ceilings with vital products in major brands stocked. Not all variations of each product can be found.

The highlight of the store is the owner who knows what he and will help you find it in the store.

Parking turns over frequently especially at the end of the day when people from the nearby businesses are headed home.

Inner city hardware store independently owned and has a good amount of things. You have to appreciate small business owners because the corporate world big business is just eliminating the small independent business owners breed. The man at the front counter not sure if he is the owner but he is very kind and is cool to talk with. I will certainly return again.

High quality tools and very friendly staff!

Been shopping off and on here for years now..They are packed to the gils with literally EVERYTHING you could ever want and more..I could easily spend hours in here,but I'm usually in to pick up plant stuff like potting soil, plant food,containers,etc. The prices are what you would expect to pay in a large city.. It's not a corporate chain, it's a family business.DUH! The people working here are also beyond friendly and helpful.Very thankful to have them around.

I love this store. You'll be amazed that this small store is packed with more than everything you expect to a hardware store. As an artist who do biking, sewing, wood-working, sometimes accidentally staining the carpet with oil paint, and ruining a saucepan, I often rush into and leave this store with stuffs perfectly matched to my needs. It's really well-stocked and people here are always friendly and helpful.

If they don't have it you probably don't need it.
There is a very helpful staff and a extensive inventory.
There's a whole nother back up to the store that I never knew was there!
I was standing in line waiting for my turn, a guy came in and needed a key cut, he was double parked, the clerk cut the key took his money and had the guy out of there in about 4 minutes.
Outstanding!.

I return looking for a plumbing part the man found the exact part I needed and installed it for me so I could return an install the assembly. Five stars!

My initial impressions of this store were not altogether positive; I had initially given it three stars. But since moving to an apartment within a block of the store I have become a more frequent customer and am now updating my review to five stars.

I had initially been put off by two of the men who work at (own?) the store. I now know that under their somewhat gruff exteriors, the two are very warm, knowledgeable, and helpful guys, who I have come to appreciate very much. They will do whatever they can to help find the part or product — or solution — you need. And the store carries everything. It is stocked full of thousands of products, covering every inch of space in the store. I love having this store in my neighborhood and highly recommend giving them a try next time you are In need of a hardware store.

Staff is so friendly! Helped me fix a bent drawer slider that wasn’t working (was originally trying to buy a new piece)

I rarely write reviews, but for this place, I knew I had to. It’s a tiny store, but somehow the owner has jammed EVERYTHING you might need inside. And I mean EVERYTHING — paint, darts, lumber, camping fuel, whistles, candles, blenders. It’s insane. No matter what zany thing I find myself needing last minute, they’ve got it. Or will order it for next-day delivery and pick-up. The owner is also super sweet and immediately offers to help find whatever you might need. Best spot in the city.

The owner of this store is quite a guy. I accidentally snapped my front door key in half the night before and this skilled and kind man was able to replicate it without a problem. This saved me $150 on calling a locksmith!

I noticed the place was well stocked with just about anything you could ever need while I briefly waited. Also, it serves as a package pick up point if you need to receive a postal delivery.

As few have mentioned before, the owner may initially seem gruff, but he’s a total sweetheart and time and again goes above and beyond in customer service.

If you come in with an oddball question, he (or his staff) will either surprise you with a wonderfully simple solution or if necessary, help you come up with an alternative option as necessary.

The store may seem a little cramped/ packed to the gills at first, but the staff know where everything is and then some, so instead of struggling with DIY, find one of them and ask! Reliably positive experiences and we would happily go out of our way to use this shop.

I love hardware stores in general but this one is on the top of my list! I've received excellent service here and Michael always goes out of his way to provide suggestions to any project or problem. Once I bought some plywood to slip on my mattress and these peeps actually helped me carry it 2 blocks to my home. Three thumbs up!

They literally have EVERYTHING you could ever need here... EVERYTHING!!! I LOVE hardware stores, and this is #2 on my list of the city's hw treasures.

#1 Fox Hardware and you'd have to wk damned hard to unseat them from #1 including getting a landmark geocache site on your premises. Though I have found it. Because it's such a high traffic area on 4th, I didn't wanna blow it publicly giving away it's location, so I have yet to leave my marker in/on it!

Great experience, Marco listened to the issue I had with my bed frame and gave me handy advice. He was also nice to my pup and gave her a treat. This is the only hardware store I’m going too from now on.

That place is packed with everything! We found a huge selection of extension cords and surge protectors of all sizes. The staff worked with a customer in front of us to find exactly what he was looking for.
