Made several attempts to visit this place whenever I come up to Massachusetts but they weren’t open on weekends during winter. Finally made it this time and they surely don’t disappoint! I like how they make their ice creams from scratch and are not super sweet! We ordered the special flavors - Green Tea Lemon and Pistachio Rose (Vegan), and Banana Rum Caramel and Honey Lavender both in Choco Waffle Cones! Yummy in our tummy!!

To go place for ice-cream lover. The combinations are unique. I loved the flavors and taste. The frozen yogurts are good too. There is on-street parking right outside the store. The place is like 7 mins walking from porter square. There are restrooms in the store that you can use. The place is popular and can get crowded, there is limited seating available ( but fair for an ice cream place).

It was simply delicious, full of flavour and delicate! I was more into something lighter in calories and sugar, so I chose a thin and crispy chocolate shell, a scoop of frozen yogurt blueberry cheesecake and a vegan pistachio rose (I imagined they're lighter in calories based on my own experience). My husband went with a cup with peanut butter, chocolate stracciatella and salted caramel.
Flavours and rich and dense and delicate (when needed) and you can tell by the first "bite" it's made from scratch but not just that. It's meant to be a rich experience so top ingredients and thoughtful manipulation of them are required.
Congratulations to all the team.
It made me want to come over immediately to a second order right after finishing!
Truly appreciate and truly recommend.

I ordered a Thai tea with a small size, but later found out I could mix up to two flavors in one cup. Not knowing the store well, I asked the staff for recommendations, specifying that I prefer less sweet flavors. He suggested the orange and mango combo, which turned out to be amazing, even better than what I initially chose! Plus, it wasn't too pricey.

Overall, it's hands down the best ice cream shop I've ever been to.

One of my favorite ice cream shops to visit during my college days, Honeycomb's rotation of new flavors always gives me a reason to come back! This time I tried the Peppermint Crisp Tart with the Milk Chocolate Stracciatella in a small cup. They don't offer samples anymore, but you honestly can't go wrong with any of the flavors. The space is bright and colorful, and a lovely place to enjoy your treat!

Honey Lavender with toasted coconut is great! Kiddie size is perfect for me. Waffle cones have 3 flavors, all made freshly everyday! Will definitely try their customized ice cream cake next time (order placed online), the small one is only about $16 and highly recommended by the server! (Dec 10th 2023)

YUMMMM. Kept seeing them on TikTok and decided to stop by on my roadtrip. Got a flight to try a bunch of delicious flavors. All of them were tasty, even the Orange Olive Oil Brownie, which I was kinda skeptical of. Bunny Tracks, Peanut Butter Fudge Swirl, and Chocolate Stracchiatella were all phenomenal aswell!

Locally-sourced ice cream with creative flavors and cones!

I highly recommend the Alfajores with matcha cone!

One downside: No tasting samples

Honeycomb Creamery in Somerville is a gem. Their ice cream flavors are truly out of this world, with a delightful variety to choose from. Special shoutout to Kyra, who is part of their awesome staff, for making the experience even more enjoyable. This place is simply amazing, offering a fantastic ice cream treat and top-notch service. A must-visit for ice cream lovers!

Honeycomb Creamery might just be my new favorite ice cream store! They don't carry many typical ice cream flavors if that's what you're looking for (i.e. plain vanilla, mint chocolate chip, etc.) , but their menu is so diverse and creative, if you're an ice cream lover and enjoy trying new flavors, I 100% recommend this place!

Service/Atmosphere: We went past 8pm on a Friday night and while there were many people, there was no wait time. Service was great and the store is cute and cozy. It's relatively small inside, so it might be harder to hang out inside with a large group, but it is perfect for a date or a quick dessert to end your day.

Price/Size: For the quality, this ice cream is priced quite well. My partner ordered a small ($5.65) with honey lavender (classic) and brown sugar vanilla (classic). I ordered a flight ($11.85) to try as many flavors as possible, particularly the seasonal ones. My flight had honey lavender, as well as seasonal flavors apple cider donut, cranberry cornbread stuffing, and sweet potato & maple mallow. They pack a lot of ice cream into each scoop, so I would definitely recommend splitting the flight with a friend. The flight comes topped with waffle cone.

Brown sugar vanilla: A good twist on the classic flavor. The brown sugar didn't take away from the vanilla, it just added more depth.

Honey Lavender: This is a delicious and approachable ice cream for anyone who enjoys floral flavors. Lavender can sometimes taste overwhelming and perfume-y, but the earthy honey flavor really helped mellow it. Deliciously fragrant and not too sweet.

Apple Cider Donut: This ice cream had a good amount of cinnamon flavor and donut (?) chunks in the ice cream. This ice cream is just simple and tasty.

Sweet Potato & Maple Mallow: This ice cream definitely has a noticeable sweet potato flavor, but as a fan of sweet potato casserole, think they could have gone heavier on sweet potato. I would say that this would be pleasantly surprising for people who are hesitant about trying it, maple is the strongest flavor.

Cranberry Cornbread Stuffing: This is probably my favorite flavor that I had. The pieces of cranberry and cornbread in the ice cream are noticeably more chewy and firm than the pieces in apple cider donut, which I found quite pleasant. The ice cream base seemed to have a hint of thyme, which I absolutely loved. This flavor was the most unique due to the thyme.

I will definitely come back next time I am in Porter Square to try some new flavors. I also want to try their toppings, particularly their honeycomb candy and the graza olive oil.

BEST ice cream I’ve ever had!! The salted caramel crackle is absolutely unbeatable! Not overly sweet but still has those delicious ribbons of caramel and honeycomb chunks. The vanilla waffle cone is insanely good!!! You have to try it when you go!! Rich, buttery, and pairs absolutely perfect with the salted caramel crackle ice cream. I recommend sizing up, the portion sizes are moderate. Great place!

Great spot for ice cream near Harvard Square, and, in my opinion a worthy contender to the famous Amorino's. The scoopers give generous portions and toppings. This place also has some interesting flavors that I won't ever forget, like orange olive oil brownie. I didn't know it was possible to put those four words together like that. It tasted pretty damn good though.

I'll definitely be back another time this summer!

Some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had! Locally sourced and I like how they outline it. I also really appreciate the vegan flavors and the flight option was really cool. I was able to try the Honey Lavender (best), Pistachio Rose, Salted Caramel, and Coffee.

Next time I’m there I’ll have to experiment with the Goat Basil as I’m intrigued in what entails 😅

Got the ice cream flight (4 flavors). Very reasonably price and incredibly creative flavors!! But even the salted caramel was wonderfully executed. One of the best ice cream places I’ve been too and easily bears out most high end creameries!!

I loved this place. The ice cream was creamy and flavorful yet not numbingly too sweet.

This had the best Salted Caramel ice-cream. They also have some vegan options.

The waffle code could have been crispier and less sweet.

They change the menu often and have creative flavors. Wish could try them more often but ice cream too often isn't too great for me :l.

Their scoops are good size -- a double scoop is a good amount for 2 moderate human adults or 1 ice cream binger.

I got honey lavender and Thai tea, so delicious! Homemade ice cream with all locally-sourced ingredients.

Discovered this place on my birthday, and I'm so happy I did. The Thai tea ice cream was so delicious, and I've been meaning to make my way back someday to get it again and see what other interesting flavors Honeycomb Creamery is serving. The Thai tea flavor might have been seasonal, though, as I don't see it on their website's menu at the time of posting (Jan. 2024).
