Falafel House

Great food. Great presentation. Quaint atmosphere. Very friendly staff.

This is a great place to introduce someone else to Greek and Levantine foods, and to take picky eaters, because they also have classic American fare on the menu as a fallback. I could imagine taking date here, and one of you picks the falafel, and the other picks the cheeseburger and fries, and you share both meals.

I took my daughter here this evening. She had her first gyro and baklava, and liked both. I had the falafel and liked it.

The food is fantastic. Hummus and falafel were super fresh. Gyro was great according to spouse. The baklava was probably the best I’ve had - and I’ve had a lot. I could really eat a whole sheet of it. Owner is just direct. I did not find him rude. He was friendly, though. Service was good. Place is an old building, but booths and bathrooms were extra clean. Hard to do when working with older places. I highly recommend trying the food.

The best Mediterranean food in town. Possibly even this side of the state. The owner clearly cares about the quality of both taste and presentation. Goes at his own pace and is a super authentic guy. You come here for amazing food, not a cushy experience. Be prepared for squeaky booths, no small talk, and the absolute best shawarma you've probably had in a long time.

There was only one person to cook, serve and take care of door dash orders. He took his time, warned us about it before we ordered and the wait was absolutely worth it. He did not skip any effort just because of his work load. I would absolutely recommend this place to a friend. Great food, taste and presentation!

I've been to 13 different countries in my time in the service and let me tell you the one thing we all miss. The food. But my need for authentic gyros is slightly edged with Falafel house. The ingredients may not be as fresh or genuine as they are over seas but they nail the taste pretty close. The atmosphere really brought me back as well. Super friendly, homely even as sometimes you can see (I think the owners) daughter doing school work while waiting for dad to close up. It's just got that mom and pop feel from so long ago that you just don't get anymore.

Haven't been this scared ordering food since Krazy Jim's Blimpy Burger. One bite of the falafel however and I think it was worth it. The house hot sauce on top takes it to a whole nother level.

One of the very best restaurants in Roanoke to me now, even after many years living here, this little place tucked away in Grandin Village eluded me.
Their mixed Shawarma is amazing, their falafel and hummas is great, I have yet to be disappointed by anything they have served me. It is a very flavorful cuisine very faithfully prepared.

We moved from the west and landed in Roanoke. Spent all day dealing w movers and moving. I was so hungry and ordered from Falafel House. It was delicious!! So fresh! I got the falafel sandwich, side salad and a piece of baklava. Happy we are only 1/2 mile away!
Oh, and the owner (I think??) gave me a sample falafel in a cup for my drive home! I thought this was brilliant customer service! The falafel is so freaking GOOD!!!

Stopped by on my drive up to New Jersey and was so glad I had the opportunity to enjoy the food here. I have to say this is the most authentic Palestinian food in the region. I have told my family living near to go and grab a bite here and will recommend it to anyone looking for quality Mediterranean cuisine. They also gave me a sider of Falafel to try out and its out of this world. Thank you Habibi ☝❤

this place deserves a Michelin star. I eat as much falafel as I can get my greedy little hands on and this is the best I've ever had with no contest. I would take the beef shawerma over any steak I've had in my life any day. Every vegetable was not only extraordinarily high quality but fresh and treated with care and love. I can tell the pickles were made in house as well. It has very genuinely been years since I have been so pleasantly surprised and humbled by a dining experience. Cannot go wrong with any of the pastries. The owner made me feel like I was at home and my uncle was proudly showing me a meal he spent all day preparing for my visit. If you have a bad experience with him I would hesitate to blame it on him. Such a humble man and one of the best chefs in the tricounty area. Presentation was gorgeous and prices could be double and I'd still feel like I got a good deal.

This place is an absolutely WONDERFUL!! Little restaurant.
Everything from their pickled veggies to their chicken schwarma is homemade.
And its all very VERY GOOD.
The plating is exquisite. A feast for your eyes before you even get it to your mouth. Oh my goodness! They're sauces are just amazing too!
They even offered me a sample of falafel before ordering.
I had the falafel platter and the pita and hummus side. It was delicious.

So glad i stopped by this tiny little gem of a restaurant!! If your in the area . Even if you have to make a trip. It's so worth a stop!!

The experience was fantastic. The cuisine was not only delicious but also halal. Their generosity was evident when they gave us free falafel while we waited for our meal to be prepared.

Great Mediterranean food! Beef shwarma was one of the best iv had! He made the tabooli fresh & added some mint from his lil garden! Never had it with mint...it was excellent! Friendly service! I'm coming back here soon!

Nice outdoor dining on beautiful Grandin Ave. We met a very nice man freshly preparing dishes such as baba ganoush, hummus, schwarma, and of course, falafel. The meals were nicely plated. Vegetarians have options here. We have had falafel in old town Jerusalem, and this was every bit as good.

Good authentic food presented beautifully. I had a beef gyro which was good, my wife’s falafel and hummus were even better though

Get the chicken Shawerma platter with rice and Baba Ganoush. For dessert, get the baklava!! I had 3 pieces it was so good

I always get the falafel platter for 3 reasons. The falafel is delicious, the salad is delicious, and the hummus is delicious. If I had to pick one word to describe this place it would be delicious…..stop reading this review and eat some of their delicious food.

I lived in Dearborn MI for awhile and the Middle East restaurants there were plentiful and outstanding, but this places has some of the best falafel I've ever enjoyed, along with outstanding hummus. My wife loves the tabbouleh too. Great place and a wonderful location.

Presentation on the food is beautiful however the food is even better (couldn’t wait to take a picture). Food is so fresh and delicious. One gentleman running the place so be patient!! Let us try a free falafel. Customer service was great will definitely go back
