The Prickly Palm

2023-12-09: This is a nice, little place in Cedar Key. I had a Rosey Spoonbill smoothie, a Pistachio latte, and the breakfast burrito...everything was excellent! The staff were friendly and very helpful with questions I had about other establishments in the area.

We were actually trying to go to another breakfast shop, but our GPS took us here and we were so happy with it. We ended up eating here the rest of the trip. The strawberry lemonade is phenomenal. The caramel coffee drink is delicious iced or hot. My grandparents loved the breakfast tacos. My husband was impressed with how full he was after eating the breakfast burrito and enjoyed the flavors it had. I enjoyed eating the healthy start each time we were there. It pairs well with the hot sauce they offered. 10/10 recommend and will be back when we visit again. Almost forgot, the muffins are so tasty! If you’re tempted to get one just do it!

We found this little gem while in Cedar Key. We went almost every day of our 10 days there. Every beverage was delicious and the breakfast sandwiches as well. Going to try a malt on our last day as we head out of town. The staff is very friendly and it has a cute vibe both inside and out. Thanks for brightening our visit!!

Love this place! I’m fortunate to be a relatively short drive from Cedar Key, and this has quickly become a mandatory first stop. Best coffee on the island, and I appreciate that they’ve made the effort to train up their staff in this regard since opening. All of their food is delicious, and you can tell the ingredients are super fresh - it really makes a difference! My go-to favorites are the yogurt parfait or their breakfast sandwiches, plus the amazing açaí bowls, but looking forward to trying more of the menu. Location has a nice relaxed vibe with plenty of outdoor seating.

Great spot in town to relax and enjoy our coffees and chai. Friendly, warm service. The owner Hannah took good care of us when we accidentally left our rental car keys behind and she left them with the police for us to pick up after closing. Thanks again!

This is a very fair priced, yet eccentric experience. The atmosphere is inviting, relaxing, and intimate all with a very open concept. Walk with your pups and sit out front while you're significant other orders inside. Buy some unique souvenirs, a great cup of coffee/smoothie, and definitely 2 chocolate muffins for the road. Trust me...never dissatisfied, means you won't be disappointed. This has been a weekly visit for me, and always look forward to it.

This was taken weeks after a hurricane. Located in a quaint town. A great variety of menu options. Great size portions and not overly priced. Breakfast was delicous. Pleasant waitstaff. Love the space, could definitely see myself sitting reading or write a book there. Perhaps next time.

We escaped for the weekend to Cedar Keys. Our goal was to not try the same place twice. We failed! We went to The Prickly Palm 3 times because it is so delicious. We tried 3 different coffees, a smoothie and an acai bowl(Arsena Otie bowl). Now I'm hooked on acai bowls. We watched them cut the fresh fruit for the bowl. It doesn't get any better then that. The bonus is their menu even had dairy-free coffee options. I know most places have it as a substitute, but there was no thinking involved, just ordered as is. Highly recommend.

I finally found the answer to this question girl, the weirdest thing in the US is that only a few people know about this beautiful place that is The prickly palm !

We were leaving cedar keys after a 5 day stay, chose a new location for breakfast as our original plans for Annie's Cafe was closed, can't remember exactly what we all got but breakfast sandwiches on croissant didn't disappoint! Of course phone was dead so no pics 😒

Ordered green sea turtle smoothie and breakfast tacos. All of it was absolutely amazing! Staff are all super friendly and welcoming. I can't get over how good everything was.

We visited them several times during our week of vacation at Cedar Key. The girls were so helpful and fun to talk to while we were there. The coffee and food is fantastic and the place is adorable. I am already counting the days we can go back, for now I will just keep watching all their posts on Instagram. Ready for Vaca

The Prickly Palm is a very aesthetic cute coffee, smoothie, Açaí bowl, and boutique shop. I absolutely love it in there, not to mention the coffee is amazing! My favorite coffee drink is the Carmel Apple Macchiato :) This business is loved by the locals and I highly recommend a stop by if your visiting Cedar key!

Loved this darling little cafe. We stayed in Cedar Key just over a week and at least one family member went every day. Delicious lattes, pressed paninis and we’re still talking about the divine açaí bowls (SO big but also so good it’s impossible to stop eating). Really friendly staff and fun atmosphere. Definitely put this one on your list!

What a beautiful coffee shop! Lattes were fantastic, also have small gifts and whole bean coffee. Barista was super nice. Love this place!
