On a day trip to Cedar Key, we stopped at 83 W. on the recommendation of a local foodie and it was really wonderful. We have been visiting Cedar Key for 40+ years, and I think this is the best restaurant on the dock. The food is fresh and chef-prepared, as are the cocktails. We were traveling with two children under 10, who wanted a window table, and the general manager, Crystal, made a readjustment of the dining room grid to make sure that happened. I understand now why they were so highly recommended. The crab bisque was great, and my granddaughter, who is a picky eater, requested a second hamburger. The view from the dock is always beautiful, but this management takes it up several notches.

Top tier service from the moment we walked in the door.
A pleasant and relatively quiet atmosphere, it made for a perfectly romantic dinner with my wife.
Great house drinks; I highly recommend the 'Sunrise.
Extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating staff.
A chef so confident in the food he is preparing you that he'll walk it out to your table personally.
ABSOLUTELY DELECTABLE appetizers and dinner. Every course was delicious and served quickly.

AND THE BEST AFTER DINNER CUP OF COFFEE I'VE EVER HAD AT ANY RESTAURANT.

I have absolutely no problem recommending this place and every intention of visiting next time I am in Cedar Key.

We came in for the Seafood Festival and that was a lot of fun. Then we decided to try dinner here. Wow, what a great meal! First, the place is so nicely decorated. Upstairs is the full service restaurant and downstairs is the bar. We stopped in for a quick refreshment downstairs. Wonderful water views, laid back and reasonable prices.

Then we came back for dinner upstairs. We were greated by friendly staff and got a table right by the window! Double win.

We ordered the fried green tomatoes, bowl of crab bisque and the wild fish sandwich fried. The sandwich was large enough for 2 people and delicious! The crab bisque was my favorite. The only recommendation I would have is to throw in some bread with the crab bisque. Or offer a bread basket for purchase. We dipped some of our sandwich bread in and wow so good!!

We are excited to come back with friends and family. It is a cute place and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Thank you for a great meal! :)

The view is spectacular, waterfront dining at its best. The ambiance and table settings are upscale. I had a red sangria, which had the right amount of fruitiness and fuzz. We started with fried green tomatoes and autumn flatbread. The balsamic reduction in the flatbread was delicious. THe flavors, various flavors from the butternut squash, apples, cranberry, spinach, ricotta, mozzarella and goat cheeses provides a flavor explosion. My tastebuds were very happy. The fried green tomatoes were thinly cut, dipped in buttermilk and with a creole mayonnaise. Minorcan clam chowder had fresh tomatoes, filled with ingredients, light and hearty, and absolutely delicious with a slick kick. The crab bisque had lumps of crabmeat and a rich creamy flavor. The house hips were freshly made, still warm, and very crispy. We were full with appetizers and soup but look forward to coming back another time, for entrees.

Absolutely amazing meal!! I had the chicken tacos, which were remarkably luscious and a party of delicate flavors that delighted my senses! The best tacos of any kind I've ever had! The coconut corn chowder was a treat for sure! My husband was in love with his shrimp and grits! They looked like a piece of food art and taste absolutely perfect. He says he's never ordering shrimp and grits anywhere else because it would just be a disappointment. They were that good. I'm so glad we decided to try this restaurant for lunch. We almost walked out because the bottom floor was a bar (although nice, but we had our toddler in tow) and were unaware that the restaurant portion was located on the second floor. So when you enter through the front doors, go directly to the stairs on the left. There is also an elevator available if needed. The restaurant is very clean and beautiful. Very calming and elegant yet coastal casual. The views are amazing, and the whole experience was so satisfying! Even the beautifully chosen porcelainware was perfect. The Chef graciously came out to check on each table's satisfaction with their meal. We've already made plans to come back with family A.S.A.P. Can't wait! I bet the sunset dinners are spectacular.

We had a phenomenal experience here! Right down from the view to the chips. My wife and I both had the grouper sandwich. She had blackened and I and fried. It was one of the best fish sandwiches I’ve ever had! The picture doesn’t do it justice because I started eating it before taking it! The freshly made chips are warm and crispy and the drinks were delicious. I had the Florida mule and my wife the basil martini. An added bonus was seeing dolphins with the spectacular view!

Food, service and location are amazing. We started with the smoked duck bao. Hubby had local oysters and I had the thai fried snapper. Was delicious!

So glad we went! So clean, really friendly and attentive staff. And our food was delish! The chef came out of the kitchen and asked if we enjoyed our meal! Of course it was mid afternoon and not so busy so he had the time, but honestly, he seemed to genuinely care!
My husband had a burger, which he loved and I had the battered chicken tacos, so so good!
We shared the peach cobbler, that was amazing. And one more added bonus, the view! Thank you so much!

Great atmosphere and food! Service was warm, friendly, and professional! Amazing little local feeling restaurant with wonderful views of the Gulf. The fried shrimp was cooked just right and seasoned well. The bar scene downstairs gives you a great laid-back experience with seating along the water and pool tables. While the casual dining upstairs is a little bit more upscale. Nothing that you're going to have to dress up for, though, if you don't want to. The Dutch apple pie and key lime cake are good ways to wrap up your time here. Highly recommend!

One of the best restaurants in the area. The food and customer service is excellent. Alisha our server is the sweetest person ever. Came to have some lunch with my husband and we were very happy to have chosen this place. The clams, gator kabobs, crab bisque, goat salad, crab cakes and for dessert the keylime cake with homemade peanut butter ice cream are superb. Will for sure come back on our next visit.

What a lovely place. Great food and great view! The smoke fish dip is the best I ever had. I enjoyed their clams better then at Steamers. For my meal I got the crab bisque and it was so flavorful and fresh. Great place!

The views are amazing. We were able to spot a few dolphins in the ocean while dining. Elizabeth was super friendly and told us the history of Cedar Key’s most iconic dish: the Heart of Palm Salad with ice cream dressing.

As someone hailing from South Vietnam and growing up with Thai cuisine, I must admit I had my doubts about an authentic Thai dish prepared in an American restaurant. However, my recent visit to this restaurant left me pleasantly surprised and utterly amazed!

The Thai Fried Fish served with jasmine rice and vegetables was an absolute delight. The flavors were spot-on, reminding me of the incredible Thai dishes I cherished from my childhood which mom & dad always cooked. It was clear that the chef had a deep understanding of the cuisine and executed it flawlessly. To my delight, Chef Jordan personally took the time to discuss the dish with us.
The restaurant offered a good vibe. The staff was attentive. As someone who holds Thai cuisine close to my heart, I can confidently say that this restaurant has exceeded my expectations, proving that authentic Thai cuisine can indeed be achieved in an American setting.
This restaurant is highly recommended in Cedar Keys. You'll be pleasantly surprised, just like I was!

Great local eats.

Superior service - Elizabeth took great care of us. Upstairs (29 North) is full service dining while downstairs (83 West) is counter service and has a more bar type feel. There is an elevator inside if needed.

Food is fantastic - this restaurant truly has a scratch kitchen. Best homemade chips we have ever had!

Note that while the menu has Redfish on it, they are not able to get any at this moment. Grouper takes the place and is equally as good.

My husband and I were recommended after crossing paths with a waitress that works at this restaurant to give it a try. We are frustrated that we didn’t visit this place sooner. Our food was fresh and delicious! You can tell the meals are made to order and there isn’t bulk prep. Our server, Megz was excellent and well educated on the menu. We decided to sit in front of the raw bar oyster shuck station. We got to meet Caleb who was the restaurant shucker. Caleb explained the whole process of shucking oysters and we could watch him prepare orders for customers. When he filled his station with more oysters a tag had fallen out. Caleb willingly educated us about each oyster batch needs to have a harvest tag that has valuable information such as who caught the oysters, where (zoning) when (exact date) and quantity. We truly enjoyed everything about our visit and experience here! I promised to make sure we return one more time before our stay comes to an end.

Great service! The best shrimp n grits with andouille sausage on the island. There is a chef not a cook that prepares excellent meals and desserts. Huge fried green tomatoes appetizer. The peach cobbler was excellent. Downstairs is a nice open bar with bar food. Highly recommend while on Dock Street.

Amazing dinner! Perfect atmosphere (could hear the band downstairs without it being over powering), beautiful view of the gulf, food was some of the best we have had, service was stellar! Comfortable seating for our party of six, didn’t wait for table more than five minutes but never felt they were rushing us out for the next. I hear the cocktails were good, family enjoyed them too! Highly recommend & will be a frequent guest myself! Would give more than five stars if it were an option.
