Steamers

2024-02-09: Today, I had a bowl of Crab Bisque, mushrooms stuffed with crab meat and topped with Parmesan Cheese, and a Crab Cake Sandwich. The Crab Bisque and Stuffed Mushrooms were fantastic. The Crab Cake was delicious as well, though I feel the bun was too much. Mary was the server and did a fantastic job! She brought out new cups of Sweet Tea before my glass was empty. I love this place!

2022-06-14: I had the crab bisque, lobster mac and cheese, and the back bayou burger with cheddar cheese and bacon, and the garlic Parmesan fries.

Taylor R. was our server & has waited on us last year. We were so happy that they were able to reopen after Hurricane Idalia as they had damage from it.
Taylor is always attentive, gives great recommendations, & always checks that the food is good, makes sure you have everything you need. Excellent service.
The happy hour here Monday through Friday is excellent. Their food is so good here, we have never had anything we did not like.
My husband got a Cedar Key Salad this time. It had Shrimp, Scallops & Grouper. He said it was so good.
I got a Blackened chicken Sandwich with No bun along with a baked potato (after 4pm). Both were delicious 😋.

Steamer’s never disappoints, we drove over an hour away and even with a long wait, we are able to get seated fairly quickly. I highly recommend you go online and get on their waitlist or call in. The food is delicious, the service is amazing, Marissa is very attentive and always came by right when we needed her. The atmosphere is perfect coupled with the view. If you’re lucky to be there for the sunset, you won’t regret. We left so full and ended the night walking the pier. Definitely worth the drive!

You simply cannot beat the atmosphere, sitting at the table/bar outside by the gulf. Watching the kayaking, boats, and marine life is spectacular. The staff was very personable and attentive, suggestions for lunch were delicious. We had a 30 minute wait to get an outside table, but it was well worth it. We both had the fish tacos, which were delicious. Highly recommend giving them a try and be sure to get an outside seat. We will definitely be back!!!

My favorite in Cedar Key. Great views, wonderful friendly staff. We had several different dishes, and we loved them all. If you like clams, there are none better steamed of fried.

Hostesses were quick to find us a table & Our server Larissa was knowledgeable and very accommodating to all of our needs! Salads are fresh and crab cake and coconut shrimp was delicious. Key lime pie was fantastic and creamy! Also had the sangria which was tasty!

It's not everyday you have a seat at a wooden counter on a deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The deck is part of the Steamers Restaurant on the second floor of the building that faces Dock Street but is built out over the water. What a setting it provides! We enjoyed lunch, a grouper sandwich and a chicken sandwich here as we were entertained by seagulls swooping by. I mean literally swooping in. Sometimes it appeared like a bird was heading straight at us, but it would always divert at the last second. When we were seated, the hostess asked if we wanted the umbrella at the place at the counter opened up above where out seats were. It was really a good idea to have that umbrella open, and not because of rain or sun. It protected us and our food from the birds that would fly straight overhead! Besides birds, we enjoyed watching dolphins swim by, people on the fishing pier reeling in their catches and various boats go by. Atsena Otie Key (the original Cedar Key location) was in sight straight in front of us. To top it off, we had a flight of beer. A great selection of craft beer from local breweries is available and we decided on a flight. The Forever Florida Lager from Swamp Head Brewery in Gainesville was our favorite.

Excellent seafood. And beer I have never heard of before. The views from the balcony over the water are amazing.

Great resturant on the water in Cedar Key fl. Never been disappointed. Waitresses are very friendly and provide good service. Food is excellent.

Really friendly staff. The sweet potato fries were really good, the garlic French fries were so so. The gator bites were yummy. The fish (was huge) and chips were really good and fresh tasting. The crab sandwich was yummy and the bun was super soft. The key lime pie cake was tasty. You may have to wait a little bit beforehand. Would cone here again.

Fantastic food and service! My daughter and I wanted a filling supper and we were not disappointed. This place is absolutely amazing. All the staff are friendly and welcoming.

Favorite place here in Cedar Key. Fresh and delicious seafood. That Cucumber Margarita was refreshing must try. Gator bite so far was the best I've ever had. Stuffed mushrooms were good, we like it. Boil was really good, good for 2 people when you have an appetizer on the top of it. My husband had Mahimahi, it was seasoned well. Ohhh love this place. We're surely come back. Clean restroom and very good customer service. Kiddos Kelly and I think Crizy..🤔😆

Had a fantastic lunch while hanging out at the seafood festival. Peel and Eat Shrimp and fish tacos were so fresh and tasty.

My husband and I had a great experience dining at Steamers on New Year’s Day. The service was excellent. We had very little wait time after ordering the drinks, then the fish dip appetizer. Our meal came quickly and was very hot and tasty. We both had fried shrimp, my husband added scallops. The Parmesan fries and onion rings were so good. Our waitress and the others who delivered our food were friendly and efficient. Excellent lunch.

Located in the second floor Steamer's is a great place to enjoy a nice dinner and watch the Sunset. I enjoy the casual fun atmosphere. Each time we have went the food has been great. On our last visit our waiter Tyler provided phenomenal service that really made our experience. This restaurant is an hour and a half ride on the motorcycle and we have never been disappointed. Keep it up guys!

Searched for good local restaurants and this place popped up first. Was good hit the spot. Husband got the fish combo platter. And I had their fried chicken, only note would be to half size the fried chicken. Season up the mashed potatoes. Snickers cheesecake was divine! Alligator nuggets delicious. Would go back and try something else. Good vacation food visit stop for our 1st cedar key visit! Friendly staff. Was surprised to be charged for water, that was different is all.

Looks can be deceiving folks! The building is old worn look to the out side but still calls you to want to check it out. Very happy we did! Wow, food was very good. Appetizer, we had the stuffed mushrooms sautéed over garlic, cheese, oil. I feel they lacked the stuffing, cld have stuffed more seafood stuffing per mushroom but boy they were good. Hubby had beer battered fish and chips. Good healthy portion of fish w/crisp fries and excellent tasting coleslaw. The tarter sauce in my opinion had to much vinegar but tasty. I had the crisp fries with chicken sandwich. Very, very good! Its a popular spot right on the boardwalk. Next time in the area I will try the steamers!

Loved it! Our waitress was super friendly and nature. Has a farm and lives her job. Loved the lemon martini she suggested. Spinach salad is huge and omg so good and coconut shrimp we took home. Delicious !

Absolutely loved this restaurant. The staff were so nice. The food OUTSTANDING. The people were having fun, a little rowdy and loud. Just the way I like it.

My family and I absolutely enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Steamers. If, no, when you go to Cedar Key, please make sure this is a stop on your to-do-list and have a bite to eat; you will not be disappointed! Enjoy!!
