Friendly and expert service. Good price. A handy feature is that they can look up the last time you bought running shoes so you know how long it’s been since the last pair.

I had a really positive experience shopping at this location for sneakers. I was helped by Bella. I didn't feel any pressure to buy something or rushed (which I experience at other Marathon Sports locations). Bella was really supportive and easy going. The environment wasn't hectic or distracting (like other locations). I'm really happy with the Saucony sneakers I bought, and I tried on a couple other pairs for the first time that I'm now interested in. I have been to multiple Marathon Sports locations (Wellesley, Lexington, Boston), and Cambridge is not the most convenient for me, but I will definitely return to the Cambridge location in the future when I want to try on sneakers in store. I'm glad I made the trip.

It is a bit confusing and hard to find an associate or salesperson, whatever they may be called, but once you do, they are very helpful. I went in because I needed new shoes. The salesperson was very helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant to talk to, and I came out with shoes I love. The shoes sold are on the more expensive side, so keep that in mind if you are trying to shop for more affordable shoes.

This five star review is for them NOT selling me a shoe. I needed a new pair of running shoes, and the line that I usually buy had a massive redesign this year. They did have a version of that shoe in stock in my size so I got to try it on, and I'm glad I did because I did not like it. We went through a few other options, and found a shoe that felt pretty good but was not the correct width (curse these wide feet of mine). They offered to special order it in my size but were very blunt that it would be faster for me to just order it online. While I would have liked to give them my money for their effort and help, I did need the shoes sooner rather than later, so this review is a token of my gratitude.

Great service from Bella. She was patient and understanding. Bella put me on a machine and told me the way my arches and ankles are for how they lean and also had me walk. Bella recommended 3 shoes and we did comparisons. As she said not all sizes are they way we think they should be much like a dress for a lady as the sizes all fit differently. I ended up with Hoka shoes.

Had a great experience. Ty helped me out he was super knowledgeable, patient and easy to work with. Made the process enjoyable. I wish everyone in retail was like this. definitely going back for my next pair of shoes

His kindness, patience, and knowledge made all the difference for my sons to find their perfect running shoes at their school’s “Spike Night” at Marathon Sports. We all appreciated the support!!

Isabella was amazing! She was so patient and sweet during the whole process. I left with a better understanding of sneakers that would best support my feet. I ended up buying one of the shoes she recommended online (was not available in my size in store). Overall, it was a great experience!

I was attended by Tai! he was phenomenal and had a great knowledge on running shoes he was methodical in deducing the shape of my feet and went on to suggesting a couple of variations based on fitting! I loved how patient he was and had a smile throughout the session. In some instances he also shared his experience of running and advised accordingly

My experience here was one of the best shopping experiences I've ever had! Bella was extremely helpful in finding me a pair of insoles that were perfect for my feet and she was extremely patient while I tried on many different pairs of shoes! Strongly recommend marathon sports!!

I decided to give it a try after reading reviews about how good the customer service was, and I was not disappointed. Tae, the person that helped me, was absolutely amazing! This was the kindest, most helpful, and most personalized shopping experience I’ve ever had. I’m a novice, and it’s always hard to know where to start, and I felt that Tae’s genuine interest was for me to take home something that worked for my personal needs.

Came here with zero idea of what I was doing and was patiently walked through all the different things to consider when purchasing a new running shoe

I went with the intent to get new running shoes, and was absolutely blown away with their customer service. The sales representative spent 20 minutes with me personally helping me find the perfect shoe. When I also mentioned I was looking for a better sports bra, she spent time explaining what different brands offered and how they were sized. I left with both new shoes and a new bra, both of which had small discounts, and came in under the budget I set for myself. And that evening, had the most successful run wearing my new gear! I will absolutely return again.

I’ve been going to this specific store for my sneakers for about 10 years and they are always great at finding shoes that let me keep going despite having long-term (20 years now) planter fasciitis. Got another great pair yesterday. The staff is absolutely amazing and super knowledgeable and I cannot recommend them highly enough. You also don’t have to be a runner—I am not—but if you want the best sneakers with the most comfort for whatever reason, this is definitely the place to go.

Marathon Sports is the place to go for anything related to running/walking/healthy feet! As someone who just started running, I was a bit daunted to go at first, but Steve helped me from the moment I stepped in and was incredibly kind. I explained what I was looking for (beginner running shoes), and Steve gave me expert advice after watching me walk and analyzing my feet/pressure points on a very comprehensive machine. He kindly broke down what kind of support I should be looking for in a shoe, and brought out 3 solid shoe options with an additional insole option as well. He answered my questions and showed me other shoes I was curious about, and gave me advice on other running gear as well. It never seemed like he was in a rush and helped me for at least 30 minutes until I walked out with a fairly priced pair of Asics. I look forward to going back and urge anyone who is looking for a pair of athletic shoes, for running or not, to work with the expert Marathon Sports staff.
