First, the bread they serve came out fresh and hot. The chimichurri sauce they have on the table to basically use on everything was awesome! For apps, we got the empanads trio (1 special, beef, and ham n cheese). The ham and chese was the best one in my opinion. Got the double bone pork chop. Very juicy and delicious! Service was great too! Definitely would come back.

The food is absolutely amazing. I heard from a coworker about Tango when my coworker mentioned that Messi had visited an Argentinian Restaurant in Arlington, sometime around June 2016. The restaurant has a good ambiance, it has a warm feeling and it feels very Argentinian. I had the Costillas de Cordero with the Pure Porteño and the Truffle Parmesan fries. They were to die for. 10/10 I will be coming back! Try the Argentinian beer while it lasts. Ask for it as it's not in the menu. My server was very polite and helpful.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The food is unique and tasty. Ambiance was warm and inviting, a good spot for date night. Went in on a Saturday right at 5pm and it wasn't busy. Got lucky with parking but I can see that being a potential issue. Good wine selection. Prices are on par for an upper-scale restaurant in that area. I can't think of anything to critique at this time. I'll definitely be back.

I went here for my father in law's birthday. It was awesome. Any day you can get a platter of different meats is a good a day. The ribs they do are amazing. Didn't know what sweet breads were until later but they were good too. Drinks were stiff and the service was excellent. Only annoying thing was they had live music that was so loud you thought your head would explode, but that stopped after like 30 min.

Tango is truly a great restaurant. I don't like restaurants in Arlington but this one is worth a visit. Great cuts of meat cooked precisely, knowledgeable and attentive staff, and great wine. Ambience is relaxing and authentic. You should eat here, you will be pleased .

Excellent steak and other dishes. Good service, even waived the splitting charge for us. Brought a free dessert for wife's bday. Reasonable prices. Great overall experience.

The food was wonderful the service was amazing (I always think if a restaurant can keep my husband's water glass full they are deserving of high praise as he drains his glad at least 4 times a meal). One of our absolutely favorite places to eat.

I came here for my 24th birthday before I stopped eating meat and have chicken with eggs and it was amazing! I've heard the beef is good here too, the wine was excellent. All argentinian and the service was amazing, incredibly friendly and was serving a party of 10 people and it worked out great.

Love this place! My family and I have been there twice. I chose one of their Beef Milanese dishes recently ("A Caballo"). While I enjoyed that very much, I cannot wait for a third visit when I can have a second go at their tremendous Parrillada Argentina. It is a carnivorous marathon of short ribs, pork chorizo, blood sausage, chicken, and veal sweetbreads. Savagely delicious!

Tango is located walking distance from the house some friends of us just purchased. After getting the requisite tour, we invited them out for food, checked Google maps, saw a bunch of restaurants clustered a couple blocks north, and headed in that direction. Tango looked delightful, so we headed in.

Tango is quite busy! They were fully booked for the rest of the evening. But the maître d' tried to be accommodating, mentioned to us that a big table at the rear was reserved for a large party arriving in a little over an hour, and proposed that if we could eat and finish up by then, we could have it. Sold!

We asked the maître d' if he had any suggestions; he said that at an Argentinian restaurant, one should aim for steak. OK. We chose skirt steaks, filet mignon, and a nightly special, roast duck in Grand Marnier sauce. For an appetizer, we shared bacon candied Brussels sprouts, and enjoyed the complementary bread with chimichurri sauce.

First up, the chimichurri sauce was fantastic. We dipped the bread in it, put it on our steaks, and so on. I think we demolished 3/4 of the bottle that had been on our table. The Brussels sprouts were tasty, and well balanced with their bacon accent and caramel; they were rather charred however, a deliberate style I'm sure, so do be forewarned there if you prefer your 'sprouts steamed or lightly grilled. The duck was correctly cooked, and the Grand Marnier sauce in good proportion.

The only issue we had was that our steaks were undercooked. I ordered medium-rare, the others, medium. All arrived quite rare, and we ate them that way. If we were not under time pressure, we would have returned these to be re-fired a bit. Perhaps this is an Argentinian style? In any case, I won't knock a star off this review for the mis-cook; we knew about the time issue going in.

Wondering how there are so many positive recent reviews of this place when they closed a few months ago?

ARLINGTON, MA — An Arlington Center restaurant known for its Argentinian cuisine is closing after nearly 20 years. The team behind Tango Restaurant announced on Facebook Monday that June 28 will be its last day of business.

This restaurant is hands down 5 stars! The Datiles al Tocino (bacon wrapped dates) is a must try appetizer, as well as the Tango fries & empanadas! Food & drinks are reasonably priced! If you go after 6pm, reservations are recommended. Parking in Arlington Square is a bit challenging but oh so worth it!

Tango is a first class restaurant with superb food, cocktails and atmosphere. It can get a little noisy on a weekend night as it's usually full, but it doesn't distract from the experience.

We love Tango. My bf went to Argentina last year, and ever since we have gone to Tango once a month. The food is delicious, and while the service tends to be slow it is expected because this is an Argentinian restaurant. They really believe in enjoying your meal, and taking the time to eat and drink over an hour + rather than eat and leave. When we have had to rush, we simply told our waitress at the beginning and she didn't hesitate to speed up her service since we asked. She remembers us and now asks is this a short night> or a more relaxed dinner this evening? The owner also stops by to chat, but in a real "he cares what we have to say" way. We talk about Argentina, Spain politics, etc. They also have tango dancing every Thursday, and the couple that dances are very good and theatrical in their dancing. They have an excellent Malbec wine selection with regular bar drinks and several cocktails to choose from. The Argentinian steak is simply amazing though, and I am already thinking about going back this week. We love chatting up the staff, and we do miss a few people that have left (Anthony) but we keep going back for the ambiance and amazing Argentinian food!
