Savinos

This is the third time we have eaten here and have loved it every time. Unfortunately, we have not been in a while and randomly decided to go again tonight. We ordered the stuffed Swiss chard, lamb shank, duck confit, and house made desert. Everything was amazing! The chard with the sauce was spectacular, so much so my husband said we had to try and make this on the regular. I ordered the lamb shank which was absolutely
cooked to perfection, tenderness with perfectly cooked turnips, carrots, beans and spinach in a delicious sauce. The duck confit was not as I expected, but honestly they could bottle that sauce and sell it. The duck was very good, with mushrooms and greens, and scrumptious al dente pasta in the most flavorful sauce. After eating every bite we could on our plates we ordered the house made desert, a flan like dish, but better, the perfect light sweet, but not too sweet, dish to end a decadent great meal.

Heard that the food here is very good- agreed, but that the service is slow. I think that’s resolved. My wife and I just finished a fantastic, tasty meal, and the waitress has been very attentive and pleasant. We’ll come back again. (Yes, it’s a little pricey, but we’re finding lately that even a decent lunch somewhere can cost $50 or so with tip!)

Absolutely delicious food and a really nice vibe! I can’t wait to go back. The calamari was amazing!

Worth a detour. My lamb shank was perfectly cooked. I have eaten here for five times these past few years.

My husband and I went for a date night here and had a wonderful time! The food was really special…from scratch and fresh. We ordered the stuffed Swiss chard, short ribs and flank steak. The best part was the feeling that we were in a neighborhood restaurant. Friendly staff, chef/owner came to say goodbye and even the other guests were welcoming!

I've been here for dinner before and it was good. Today I came for lunch but it was outstanding! Service was fast, it's not very crowded and it was outstanding value. Up until now I think it's been the best kept secret for lunch anywhere in Belmont! I just couldn't keep it to myself. I had the panini of the day and it was really tasty. They don't have a children's menu but for 12 bucks I got the penny bolognese for my son and he loved it! I'm coming again soon!

Needed a place to stop for a to-go order and found this place nearby. I was weary of the 4.3 stars, but went with it. They closed within a half hour of me ordering and they still took my order kindly over the phone. When I arrived, the host was very sweet and friendly while I waited another few minutes. To my surprise, I opened the take out and it was packaged so neatly and with such care/effort, which doesn't come often with take out. Food was piping hot and fresh-- it was actually quite amazing!! Will definitely come by here again

Everything about this place was great.. great food, great service, great outdoor dining space!

Our dinner was AMAZING! We shared the pan roasted salmon with wild rice, pomegranate, olive tapenade finished with dill oil. We substituted bok choy for the roasted brussels sprouts.

Savinos is one of my favorite dinner spots. The food is consistently outstanding and the service is great. You can also reserve seating outside, which is a plus. I would highly recommend a night out at Savinos!

Great food and nice ambiance. The waiter is chatty and friendly, depending on your mood and occasion, it may or may not be what you're looking for. The menu changes a few times during the year to adjust to the seasons, and I've always found them seasonally appropriate. The size is medium (not too large), but the execution has always been perfect and spotless.

My wife and I eat here regularly and it is always delicious. My wife must eat gluten and dairy free and Tom, owner and chef, is very accommodating. Service is friendly, drinks are good, food is wonderful. Always!

We have eaten at Savinos four or five times over the past year and are planning to eat there again tomorrow. We love the place. The food is reliably delicious, the drinks are great, the decor is nice, and our service has always been excellent. The cook/owner often comes out to inquire about the diners' experience and we think its a bonus that the place has a quiet, calm ambience. We've tried all of the Belmont restaurants and this is our favorite.

My husband and I went there last night and had a table outside. The food was great and the service exceptional! It was our first time out to a restaurant since COVID-19 and so glad this was our choice! Going back very soon!!

1st time to eat and drink there. Excellent food and drinks. The new Bartender Cheryl was great! nice smile and presented everything in a friendly professional manner. 😊 Will come back. I heard there is Jazz music on Thursday nights. Gary Luongo

Food was very good quality. Nice selection of dishes and a good variety with menu styles and combinations that differ from the typical local Italian restaurant. The owner/chef works the kitchen and he knows exactly what he's doing. We had a very nice experience and I would highly recommend Savino's.

The best restaurant experience I've had in the Boston area! Service, ambiance, and food all hit the mark. Service: We asked the waitress to split the main course, and usually restaurants are grumpy about sharing food, but the kitchen served up the main course on 2 separate plates, perfectly portioned and garnished! The chef himself brought the main course to our table, and then afterwards, visited us again to see how we liked it. Ambiance: Very cozy, quiet, and intimate. Played solid jazz tracks, not elevator/lounge jazz. Food: not Italian-American fare, very unique and thoughtfully made. We had mussels with a blood orange and gin reduction, a smoked eggplant and cheese tower topped with microgreens and pesto, a heart of ribeye with sage, oyster mushrooms, and scallions, and a pear marzipan tart. Will be back with friends and family!

We tried out Savinos for the first time on Saturday night. We live very close and are always looking to try something new. We really enjoyed our experience; easy parking, seated immediately, the service was attentive and knowledgeable, the food was creative and delicious, the prices were reasonable, and the chef/owner came out of the kitchen to see how our meal was. Overall, we would recommend it and will definitely go back soon for a no-hassle, delectable dinner!

The food is consistantly awesome. I have never had a bad meal. The owner is the chef and he is excellent. He uses in season items to enhance his menu. I hope he continues as one of the best local restaurants.

Delicious meal and attentive, friendly staff. I highly recommend the Spinach Pappardelle! (Especially if you're vegetarian or generally looking to limit your meat intake.) I would definitely come back here.
